I've been going to McDonald's for five decades. I consider myself an expert. The McDonald's in Cle Elum is hands down the worst . Today they were out of Diet Coke and any hot sauce for the Luke warm burrito. They are consistently out of something and unapologetic about it. Service is generally horrible. Last time it took 17 minutes for curbside pickup. Fast food not. Cle Elum only has two fast food options. Id drive on to Dairy Queen or better yet stay on the freeway until you get to Ellensburg. read more

Stopped at the Cle Elum McDonald's about 8pm with three hungry grandsons and my wife for a quick dinner before we went home. There was no quick about it. We didn't get our food until 8:23pm no sorry for the wait nothing bad enough right? Well the majority of the food was lukewarm at best and my wife's grilled chicken was cold. I approached the counter in plain sight and was ignored. The crew running the McDonald's was in chaos and when I finally got someone's attention and told them my good was cold I was asked if I wanted a refund. What I really wanted was hot food but I was willing to throw in the towel get our money back and eat somewhere else where customer service and good quality food is a priority. When I got my refund it was just for the grilled chicken and no apology no sorry nothing!! This is the worst McDonald's experience I have had in my life and despite giving feedback and leaving messages for the owners no one has called me back. Stopped at this McDonalds, ordered two 4 pice happy meals and one of their specialty burgers; one of the happy meals I ordered didn't have a yogurt, and my burger was literally throwing together. ( the meat was off to the side the buns were on the other side lettuce was hanging out of the box the cheese was on top of the burger)It was gross and half assed. Without fail, this mcDonalds is the slowest McDonalds I have ever eaten at. This time, I walked in there's a guy mopping the floor. The rest of the crew is in the back of the kitchen chatting away. After a few minutes, I was about to walk away. The guy mopping the floor saw this, dropped what he was doing, and was nice enough to take my order. I stopped here mid morning weekday for a coffee and to use the restroom. This is a nice place and feels more like a Starbucks than a McDonald's. It wasn't busy so I can't rate the service but for me it was good. They have a couple nice TV's with the news on. writing a review on McDonalds is not what I pictured when I started writing reviews on restaurants and other businesses, but this McDonalds is different. It is the only one around for many miles in all directions. notable things about this McDonalds; the bathroom line is always backed up, always! I have stopped by here about a dozen times when on business trips and have yet to see a time when there was not a line. They have even remodeled the bathrooms to help accomadate this issue. Not recommended for a quick bathroom break. NO PLAYGROUND! being a father of three boys, I look for these things and I know it is not a big difference as there are many other McDonalds that do not have a playground, but this is just a bummer for kids. THEY JACK UP THE PRICES! I guess you can do that when you are the only one around for miles and you provide a product that people buy just because they get a craving for this familiar food. example: McDouble: $.99 no it is $1.59 here. Not many things impress me about this place, but I will say that I have yet to leave there without a smile. I know that when eating at a McDonald's the expectations can't be astoundingly high. It's fast food after all. That being said there is a difference in being able to consume the food or not depending on the way it is prepared. The staff was very friendly and polite the issue I had was that i ordered a Big Mac with extra sauce and a happy meal. Extra sauce was ridiculous. I'm talking one extra small amount. Whoever made the food that day put a ridiculous amount of sauce to the point I couldn't even pick up the burger it just slimily slid apart. You could have done better. read more

Was so hungry having not eaten for 24 hours and came upon this McDonald's...staff where disorganized and unprepared for the holiday rush. Food came out ten minutes later and was completely wrong, seemed like someone was having a laugh at our expense. We ordered one egg McMuffin, one sausage McMuffin, and two oatmeal's. The egg McMuffin had cheese, Canadian bacon and sausage. The sausage McMuffin had egg and cheese. So, sausage went to the egg and cheese and I asked for an egg McMuffin with egg! Five minutes later I got a cold, dry, stale egg McMuffin. The oatmeal was now cold and discovered while assembling my oatmeal that the apples were brown. Nice. Owners need to get involved in the business and train supervisors on food quality and customer service immediately. If I get sick, I will be calling the heath department. read more

Usually at Micky's you get food that may be only ok but its always very consistant. They served me some really bad coffee. It tasted disturbingly funny and was only luke warm. I wish I noticed before getting back on the freeway. Only took a two small sips. Everything else was, as expected, ok. My hard and fast rule: When ANY of the food is not good enough to eat, the place only gets one star. Fast food or high end it does not matter. Edible food is, after all, a resturants prime objective. Its funny because usually Micky's has pretty darn good coffee. Other things: Service was really slow and the prices are higher than any of my last meals in either N.Bend or Seattle. Not ever going to the Cle Elum McDonalds again. We have had several bad meals here, but after today, my husband and I are just not coming back. Ordered a ham and egg mcmuffin meal, got to work to find they had not put ham on it. I called and they only offered to replace the sandwich but nothing for the inconvenience, unlike any other fast food place in town besides McFonalds. So I sent my husband to go pick it up, and he returned with the grossest breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The egg was super over cooked, but the cheese was cold, and the whole sandwich was cold and rubbery. He has sausage burritos, and said they were the worst he's ever had. TOP-NOTCH service!!! I've been to fancy, "table-cloth / 17 pieces of silverware" establishments that didn't have as caring, proactive customer service as this Cle Elem, WA McDonalds location has! The staff was attentive, prompt, accurate, engaging, cheerful, and absolutely professional. Not only was the facility clean and staff very accommodating, they made us feel like we were their most important customer and that the success of their restaurant might possibly hinge directly on my wife and myself. My only regret is that we live 100+ miles away (on the west side of the Cascade Mountains -- near Seattle); where service at most restaurants is surly and horrid. The excellent service at this Cle Elum McDonalds will stick with me for a LONG time -- I wish I lived close-enough to visit their location on a regular basis. Cle Elum, in general was not pleasant, but this McDonald's was great. After we wouldn't stay at the local Econo lodge because they wouldn't let me use a restroom, I didn't have high hopes. But an employee on her way in to work held the front door for me. Restrooms were convenient and very clean. We were travelling with dogs, so I used the restroom, then we went through the drive thru. The order taker was friendly, had no trouble hearing us, and understood when we asked for hamburger patties for our dogs. Food was prompt, fresh, and good (for the standard McDonald's menu).
