Second review of this place by me. Top notch...again! I've reviewed this particular Carl's Jr. in the past, but it deserves a second review. Whether it's traveling back and forth for family visits, or moving across and out of state, this particular one has been our go-to when we stop in Ellensburg. The place is always clean when we stop in, the food always tastes perfect, and we have never once to date encountered a single crew member who wasn't top tier awesome! From making sure our orders are right, to making sure we know what deals they have, they're on top of things. Food was pretty decent. Fresh and hot. But at what cost? THE FLIES!!! Ever been dive bombed by flies while waiting for your food? Neither have I, at least not to this extent. Worst part? When the flies in the bathroom are trying to play ping pong in your butt crack while you just need to pee because you've been on the road for 4 hours. I just wanted food... not the flies. Got back to the truck... there was 6 flies that decided to car pool with us for the next 30 minutes. They all flew out the window eventually. I just wanted food, not this side quest. We came here for lunch and were given a number to put at the end of our table. After about 25 minutes of waiting we noticed they were bringing food out to tables that ordered food after us. We went up to ask about where our food was and noticed that some of our order was on a tray under the warmer, and after waiting another several minutes we finally got our order. By that point it had been a 33 minute wait for our food, and my burger tasted like it had been sitting under the warmer for a long time. read more

Ordered three large meals, the lemonades we ordered "can't" come in a larger cup apparently so that's a ripoff on its own. Then we pull out our fries and they are tiny little baskets.... crazy how much of a ripe off everything is becoming these days! It was 50 dollars for this and we only ordered single patty hamburgers at that.... Why so expensive when your cuttings corners in every way you can! Stopped in for breakfast on my way to work. Order the breakfast burger with a sausage patty. What I got was a hamburger with tatter tots and bacon. No sausage patty. No egg . When I called about it. I was informed that their grill is broken so no egg. And it comes with a hamburger patty. Doesn't matter what you ordered. That's how it comes. The guy at the window; very friendly. The guy on the phone is a fool. He was more concerned about the fact he was on his break . And apologized for any inconvenience . And I got what is served and made at Carl Jr . We were driving across the state and needed a place to stop with bathrooms. I have good memories of Carls Jr burgers, so I figured we'd take advantage of the opportunity since there aren't any near where we live. The restaurant was clean and the employees appeared to be smiling under their masks - a good start. After ordering, it took about 15 minutes for the food to be ready, which felt long but I don't mind waiting for good food! Unfortunately... well... 1) Onion rings were cold, like they'd been cooked before our visit, hung out under a heat lamp for a while, and got put into the box as soon as we ordered. By the time they reached us, even their memories of warmth had faded. 2) Fries were the smallest portion I've ever seen. We ordered a large combo and got around as many fries as come with a Happy Meal at McDs. It was a pretty small carton to start with, but it hadn't even been opened up. The fries kind of wedged the top of the cardboard open, but at the bottom there were no fries at all. 3) They forgot my drink and I had to go ask for it 4) They made the wrong food. My wife and I opened our burgers and NEITHER was what we'd ordered. We hadn't taken a bite yet, so I brought them to the counter to confirm if we were mistaken or had actually gotten the wrong food. The guy no longer appeared to be smiling under his mask. He took both burgers without a word and went back to the line to talk to the lady making the food. They poked at our food for a few seconds before throwing it in the trash. I just kind of stood there for a minute or two before wandering towards the bathroom. When I came out, he'd just dropped off a bag with the new burgers in it. My wife let me know that he'd given her some coupons for our next visit so I was like, "Cool, let's dig in while it's still hot." Burger wasn't hot, but it wasn't terrible either. Since the kids were done eating by this point, we didn't want to wait for more fries or other food to be cooked. I asked my wife about the coupons in the car - she looked more closely and it was the same insert you get in the newspaper. And it had already expired. My son and I wanted to stop in and to grab dinner on our long drive home. Figured we would stop here and sit in the dinning area to take a break. It was 7:00 pm on a Sunday and they had already closed the lobby and put up the chairs. The employees were wonderful, very friendly and forward. I ate one of the best fast food burgers I've ever had, it was so good!

The chicken sandwiches are decent. I had spicy and they weren't bad. They reminded me of chicken Pattie's you can buy in the frozen food aisle. The burgers are ok. I wouldn't buy again due to price. Also the lettuce in the chicken sandwiches and the burger was bad. I love lettuce and had to remove it. It was so soft and translucent. We pulled up to the drive thru and waited to order. We sat for about two minutes and no one greeted us over the intercom. So I said, "I'm ready to order" and a guy (who found out later was a manager) said, "ok. Give me a minute." So we waited..... and waited.... and waited.... I finally gave up and parked and went inside. Got our food out to the car and they shorted us a fry and got our plain cheeseburgers wrong. So, a plain cheeseburger is meat, cheese, and bun. What we got was meat, bun, and pickles. Wth?!? It wasn't busy at all so I am not sure what the hold up was at the drive thru or the food issue was about. I had come through here on their opening weekend a few months ago, and then now coming thru a few weeks ago. Staff is great, they get things done in a timely manner. My orders were correct, and fresh. They weren't flustered, even with the massive amounts of people they were serving (opening weekend and then there was a soccer team that came in when I was in). Had a lovely lunch with my 3 early teen kids. Cody helped us and was amazing with my children being super polite and having a pleasant discussion with them. (my kids wondered why only one of the stars on the outside of the building was painted.) We ordered a couple of famous star and super star burgers along with drinks and fries. We were in a rush for lunch as we drove through Ellensburg on I-90 so I l relied on the Yelp ratings and reviews of the dozen or so burger places. Carl's was nearby and had reasonably good reviews. They were "take-out" only because of Covid so I ordered at the drive through and was directed to park outside the locked entry. About 10 minutes later a friendly staffer came out with 2 bags of containing 3 freshly cooked burgers and fries. I was expecting a typical medium-sized, just OK, fast-food burger. Boy was I surprised! I got the jalapeno burger and my wife and a friend got a mushroom and bacon burgers. All were large, full of smoky BBQ flavor, and were perfectly done. If we had a Carl's Jr in Seattle I'd definitely go there more often. read more

I stopped by Carl's Junior in Ellensburg, WA, for lunch. I noticed that the building was larger than other Carl's Junior places I've stopped at. Closer inspection revealed they had a chidren's play area similar to that found at many McDonalds in the 1990s. I didn't see any children playing there. I orered the spicy chicken and the "big" hamburger. They always have some new fancy (hard to eat neatly) menu items that I ignore. The service was fast and the staff was polite. Another customer was friendly. Carl's food is usually somewhat better quality than other fast food chains, and this one was typical. The fries were hot and good. The burger was fresh and tasty. Your average fast food joint. Made a pit stop here with a few friends. Together we ordered the super star combo (came with waffle fries), the baby back rib combo, chicken strip combo, beer-battered fish burger, and a side of French toast. The superstar burger was standard. The patty was juicy, and the burger overall was well-flavored. There were quite a lot of onions for my taste, but it wasn't too overwhelming. The baby back rib and fish burger was also mediocre. Nothing special there. The chicken strips however, were on another level. They weren't overly covered in batter and the chicken was still tender on the inside. Highly recommended. The French toast was also very good. Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The powered sugar was definitely a nice touch to the French toast. I recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area. Lots of options on the menu! read more

I stopped at the restaurant going through town and as I arrived everything looked clean and I even noticed a check in station for their employees, due to Covid. I really appreciated that. I was treated by a lovely young lady and a young guy who too k their time to give me a few of the local radio stations. They aren't the reason I'm giving this low score. When I was done ordering my food I was standing around in the lobby and witnessed an employee walk through the door without a mask on. I immediately got concerned due to covid19, but I also gave her the Benefit of the doubt and thought she was rushing to the back of the restaurant for a mask. I seen her come out from the back of the line, walking around without a mask still, so I asked her if she had a mask to put on and she said yes, so I proceeded to ask her to put it on and she refused. I asked her why she was refusing and said she was exempt, so I proceeded to ask her why she was exempt. She walked out of my site and never returned. I left so quickly out of there because I got afraid of her neglecting to follow state regulations. Smh. read more

Kind of wished we had more Carl's Jr's around the Puget Sound, I can only think of one that's in Tacoma. So whenever I have to drive over to Eastern WA to visit some family I have found myself making a stop here. It's easy to find, offers good food choices and serves large portions. I've been to Carl's Jr before but usually out of state so it's nice to come to this location for a change, especially if I'm in the area. They have your standard fast food burger and fries but also offer Mexican fast food items too. I have only tried their taquitos and breakfast burritos so far and both have been good, "fast food good" of course.. Their burgers and fries are good too, big ole burgers and quite a few choices to choose from. This location is clean and new and the workers are friendly. I've only been here a few times but it's been consistently a nice experience. Some of my favorites are the bacon burgers and the breakfast biscuit sandwiches, and I usually have a hard time narrowing down my order since there's a lot of items offered here. read more

When McDonalds remodeled, they took out the play area. If you have, or are visiting with people with young kids, Carl's Jr has a kids area that will make your kids happy. There are no balls in a play pin, but more of a jungle gym type set up with things to climb on, spin on,ect. I suppose this is also good because it is much easier to clean and keeps kids more active. The service from Carl's Jr was friendly and the food was hot and fresh. They have a nice menu selection from "Green Burrito" as well so you can get some healthier options. I had grilled chicken "wraps" with baked chips, much better then greasy fried food. A combo meal will cost you about $8.00 with tax, so menu prices are clearly lower then other locations. A decent place to grab a quick lunch but nothing to write home about. read more

I was really surprised. This place was recently built. My first thought was "great!!! another me-to burger joint." NOT!!!! The menu is really different and creative. They clearly have their own unique angle on fast food. Things I like. 1) Paper wrappers. Go green. 2) They issue a number and deliver to your table. 3) wireless 4) The place sparkles and has a fun theme. 5) Prices are good. Some thoughts for customers: You expect a good product.
