Love Gemini Fish Market, they are a real asset to Cle Elum, everything is good quality. It's expensive but I don't mind going now and then as a treat. The last time we went, I got 3/4lb of shrimp. the guy at the counter was friendly and it was a pleasant exchange, until it came time to pay. He swiveled the screen around to a tip screen. I clicked zero for a tip. I'd only got a few shrimp, and I don't usually tip unless it's a sit down restaurant, picking up a proper dinner, or if I have difficult order. as soon as I selected zero, his demeanor totally changed. It was really uncomfortable. I waited a week to post this, and its played on my mind to the point that I was thinking I don't think I'll go back anymore, I'll just do the drive to Costco instead. As much as I like supporting local, it's starting to not be worth it, if they're only being friendly with the hope of a tip. read more

Good variety of fresh market items, including filets. *Not quite sure when/if their good side is open, would love to be able to grab and go some hot food on a lunch break... or for that "pre dinner snack" lol. The Gemini Fish Market in Cle Elum is related to the market of the same name in Issaquah. They have a good selection of fresh fish, shellfish, etc., making it a real seafood store. We got some Copper River sockeye, which was good and reasonably priced (unlike the chinook, which was pricey). It was a surprise to find a good fish market in Cle Elum ... and the Gemini Fish Too food truck was parked out in front (more on that in a separate review). read more

Love this place!! We stop by here anytime we are in Cle Elum. Their fish is always fresh and they always have excellent samples and a great selection of artisanal products. I recommend their salmon mousse/spread, calamari salad, and cioppino soup. Also their crab stuffed mushrooms and jalapeños make great appetizers! We had the fish and chips at their lunch wagon in Cle Elum, they were delicious. The cold slaw side was excellent.

Love this store. Always stop on way back from Seattle to home in Yakima. Sometimes just make the drive. There is absolutely NO good fresh seafood source in Yakima This is a must stop if you love good fresh seafood from west side, where they also have a store. They also have a deli where you can get their variety of ceviche, crab cakes (just loaded) etc Salmon candy. The store is also packed with a lot of accompanying food items and wine. Just a great overall market and the staff are so nice. One last thing- they have a tasting display so you can try their ceviche and dip varieties before you buy. So so good! read more

They have a lot of fish in their counters. And it looks really fresh. I'm just wondering who will be buying this much fish locally?. The locals can't afford the prices so I assume Suncadia and a few more affluent customers in the area will be regulars? IDK I love fresh fish. Owens has done well with premium meats. I hope this business can do the same. It would be great if they can expand into serving fresh grilled fish, not just fish and chips. A favorite place was the Fish Market in Palo Alto Ca. They grilled fresh fish to order on an indoor bbq. It was so good. Would love to see something like that here. But for now I just hope they do well doing what they are doing read more

We have been getting our fresh seafood at the Gemini location in Issaquah for years. They now have opened a store in Cle Elum, right off I-90. Best of all, they have parked the food truck there, and you can get fresh fish n chips, and chowder and more. Our favorite is the crab cake sandwich, which comes with slaw and aoli on a nice bun. Unbelievable quality fish market in very unlikely town. This what one would expect on the water front.

We rented a house at Suncadia for Thanksgiving. I make a traditional fish stew/chowder on Black Friday. This year I was constrained by two granddaughters whose nursing mothers had to avoid dairy. I decided to make a cioppino/bouillabaisse tomato/saffron fish stew instead. I was further constrained by one daughter-in-law deathly allergic to bivalves! So I went to Gemini on Wednesday to put in an order and boy did they come through! This was for 16: 2 lbs peeled and deveined shrimp, 2 lbs cleaned squid and tentacles, 1-1/2 lbs Halibut cheeks, 1-1/2 lbs black cod in 2" square chunks & 1 lb Dungeness crab meat (an extra lb for stuffed mushroom hors d'oeuvres) + 2 containers of shellfish free fish stock. Everything from Gemini was superb. I was particularly impressed that the crabmeat was free of all cartilage and the squid had all beaks and cartilage removed. Likewise the peeled and deveined shrimp (with tail attached) were immaculate. I could not recommend them more highly. read more
