The staff member was patient and helpful with a handful of questions I had such as how to upgrade the size of my fries, how to remove pickles from the burgers, and how to add extra condiments. My order came out very fast. The employee who put my order together asked if I wanted a large bag with handles. I also asked for a cupholder which he got for me and put my drinks in it. He gave me extra condiments at no extra charge. Staff were great, food was good, and the restaurant was clean. I was pleased with my visit. My family and I have lived here for over 10 years, My son always goes there with his friends to eat and make small-talk.Unfortunately, My Son and His Peers were met with negative and ignorance. A team member verbally disrespected my son on 2 different occasions. Once this Monday and another Today Jan 29th 2024, She first on Monday rightfully told my son and his friends that they were to loud which is understandable but then as they were cleaning their stuff up the team member stated "Yeah, Because I don't want to be the type to put my hands on kids". which startled them and made them start to leaving quicker, and gathering there things and leave the residence. Now, i'm just writing this review because of what happened today. The same team member randomly walks past my son and MANY other kids that we're discussing as well. She states, and points at my son and "says I told you yesterday you can't come in here" watch him, and taunt him as walking away.This is a Wednesday, My son had no encounter with her and she never told him that. So not only did she embarrass him she verbally disrespected him multiple times. This is not okay, and certainly not acceptable customer service. Also is very disheartening as being a close resident to this establishment. I would hope to see improvement and more acceptance in the community moving forward! read more

Ordered food using kiosks. Waited 15 minutes for food for 2 people, which still wasnt ready when I inquired. This McDonald's has a problem completing orders with the mobile app. On more than one occasion I've tried to use it here and been unsuccessful. I always receive an error message in the app saying "the problem is on our end ... please see the cashier to complete the transaction". The last time this happened (today), I dutifully approached the counter and showed them this message. At which point the cashier looked at me in puzzlement and was apparently unable to comprehend the situation. She then flipped through a few screens on her display, and told me that she didn't see the order. That's it. There was no "I'm sorry that happened." Not even a "what can get for you?" The manager did not step in to help in any way. I was left hanging and disappointed. It was as if I was not welcome. I left without having my order taken. They didn't even think to make it right by allowing me to make a conventional order. How does this McDonalds survive? I have not had this problem at any other McDonalds. I have been able to enter mobile orders before arriving and they have them ready when I get there. The reason why I use the mobile app is to avoid having to deal with untrained personnel at the counter that get the order wrong more often than not. The order kiosks also serve this purpose, but I'd prefer to use my mobile app so that the food is ready when I arrive. At least that's what McDonald's is seems to be aiming for in offering a mobile app. It is unfortunate that this particular McDonald's is not mobile app friendly. It is the 21st century and people use smartphones to order food. That is the reality. I will not visit this, my neighbor McDonald's, again until they get this right. read more

We eat McDonalds food about once or twice a year. We eat breakfast items only. We even avoided the McDonald when our children were young. Needless to say, on a lark, and to some extent to poke fun at my wife, who loves egg mcmuffins, I decided to stop and order some basic breakfast items. Two sausage egg and cheese mcmuffins, two sausage breakfast burritos, and two sausage egg and cheese biscuits. All for 17.50. A real steal. You can always count on this food being what it claims to be: an egg that requires a replicator to make, sausage from a maker of meat and meat-like products, and cheese from "America" that may have dairy and dairy by-products included. But, with salt, high carbs, and a healthy dose of no longer trans fat, you get that familiar McDonalds feeling. We saved the sausage egg and cheese biscuits for this morning because we can microwave right along with the best microwavers in the world, and why not extend the pleasure across the entire weekend? OOPS, no cheese. For an assembled to order factory direct delivery system, such a failure is absolutely unforgivable. So, to compensate for my agrezious error in judgment, I have been tasked to make faux mcmuffins this morning. To create those weird eggs, I have a biscuit cutter in the egg pan to hold the shape, the heat a low medium to cook the egg slowly, lightly toasted Thomas English muffins (I have no Scottish muffins), a cheese upgrade to sliced cheddar, and Smithfield's extra thick bacon cooked flat and without a press (sausage is in the freezer). I will make these breakfast sandwiches in less time than required to drive to McDonalds (mile away), stand and wait for precooked factory food, and drive home. They will also taste better, have no formerly trans fat, be healthier, and be very fresh. I can add freshly ground pepper, sea salt, and even a traditional sandwich condiment if I choose (mayo, mustard, hot sauce, even secret sauce). Cost for this? Less than half the price, though who is keeping track? I will try to post some photos. I did not photo the items from McDonalds because they all look the same: just open yours up and look! All this because less than exact and perfect is not an option. Eat well, tip well. read more

As McDonald's go this one is not so good. Tables are often filthy, and the employees don't seem to care whether they give good service or not. It's also one of those "nickle-and-dime the customer to death" locations that charge extra for things like dipping sauce, etc. and give you only one napkin with your order, forcing you to stand in line to beg for one or two more. My hunch is the owner of this franchise is REALLY CHEAP. They also won't take any bill over a $20. I get the impression that they find their customers an annoyance based on the way you get treated. You might check out the Chick-Fill-A across town. They have flowers on the tables (which are always clean), don't charge for sauces, and actually have employees that walk around offering to get you re-fills on your drinks. I lived in Columbia for over 20 years and have tried to pay patronage to this establishment because it was in my neighborhood. Unfortunately my experience at the drive-through has been undeniably The worst experience I ever had at a fast food restaurant. I would say, and this is no stretch of my imagination, that 80% of my orders have been wrong. I would order a Coke and end up with an iced tea... Issues like that. Most of the time when I got home and checked my order, it would be wrong. Many times, I would go there late at night and they had their sign stating that they were open, so I drove up and they either had an excuse that they were not open or that their credit card systems were down or their registers were down. My worst experience is when I ordered oatmeal with nuts and as I was sitting at the drive-through I saw the employee open up the bag of nuts with his teeth/mouth. That's when I decided that I was never coming back. If I ever was to go to McDonald's it would be at the one in Riverhill where I never have any issues. read more
