İ like the place. It's large, airy,.. Service also good, the taste is also good. İ tried large Greek salad with salmon, baklava and kurabiye to go with the coffee. İ taste kurabiye at home with Turkish tea. İt was pretty good! Gyro is good too. But you know when you are Turkish your level pretty high for Gyro, baklava... The thing this my New place for lunch!

I ordered the lamb gyro with fries. I was impressed with the flavors and the portion size! This was my first time so the waitress made ordering simple.

My company ordered lunch from here recently and it was THEEEE BEST COMPANY SPONSORED LUNCH EVER! There was a plethora of food! I got a regular gyro box, which included pita chips, dipping sauce, a huge cookie, and fruit, plus there was a gigantic Greek salad on standby. The food itself was awesome in taste and quality. The gyro was delicious, the hummus dip on the pita was devine, and the fruit served as a gentle palette cleanser. I'm definitely going to put more lunches from The Big Greek Cafe in our suggestions box!

I love this place! It was love at first bite. I've now been many times and it is the place I love to take friends for good Greek food. The gyro meat is all so flavorful and balanced with great ingredients in the gyro wrap or bowl. However, the salmon is my absolute favorite. I know it's just salmon, but it's perfectly cooked every time and so good paired with the tzatziki. I like to get it with the potato's and green beans, but all the sides are really good. Not to mention this place is quick service. My kids love their meals and it's quick. So if it wasn't already my favorite Greek food in the area, the fact that it's not a full service restaurant with my quick meal kids, makes it magical for me.

Sunday afternoon and full! The food is healthy AND tasty. My favorite part is that the staff works hard and it looks like they enjoy working together. Food tastes better when the cooks are appreciated. The restaurant and clean with indoor and outdoor seating.

This place is always a hit!!! The Wednesday $7 gyro and $12 including a side will be the best meal you have for that price all week!!! The meat was seasoned well and had a nice crispy exterior while still being tender and juicy. You won't find roasted potatoes anywhere that are this good! Eating the meal I had today, is like a first date with your future wife! You just know it will be great and the love will last forever. Yes, I'm taking about a gyro with a side of roasted potatoes!!! You won't regret coming here! My two coworkers also loved their food and this was their first time going to The Big Greek Cafe and they will certainly go back, as will I.

I've been to the other location in Silver Springs and was already very delighted with The Big Greek Cafe but now that's it close to home I'm even more excited. Today o tried the salmon Greek salad, such a huge portion with really fresh ingredients. The salad was cooked perfectly! The chicken salovaki was tender and tasty! The roasted potatoes were a perfect side dish. This location has a spacious and cozy dinning room. Service was friendly and awesome! I will definitely be back!

A Must-Try Gem in Columbia! If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Greek food paired with warm hospitality, look no further than The Big Greek Café in Columbia, Maryland. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine smiles and top-tier customer service. The staff was incredibly attentive and made sure every part of my visit felt welcoming. Whether you're dining solo, with family, or friends, you'll feel right at home here. The space itself is beautiful--bright, clean, and inviting. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, it's perfect for any kind of day. The outdoor patio, in particular, adds a lovely touch if you want to enjoy a breezy lunch or a relaxing dinner under the sky. Now, the food... absolutely outstanding. I ordered the Gyro Big Greek Bowl, and it was honestly one of the best Mediterranean meals I've had in a long time. Perfectly seasoned gyro layered with fragrant rice, crisp red cabbage, shredded carrots, fresh greens, juicy tomatoes, and red onions--all topped with a zesty lemon olive oil vinaigrette. The house-made tzatziki and red pepper hummus were bursting with flavor, and the warm, soft pita on the side tied everything together beautifully. Every bite was fresh, balanced, and delicious. It's the kind of meal that leaves you feeling full and happy without being overly heavy. Whether you're a long-time fan of Greek cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place hits all the right notes. Great food, great people, great vibe. I'll definitely be back soon!

I really enjoy this salmon Greek salad for lunch. The salmon was seasoned and grilled perfectly. It was awesome that they followed my request to cook the salmon more lightly this time. The service is always so helpful and friendly. I'll be back soon

The food is delicious and the service delightful... The Big Greek offers classic Greek cuisine made fresh and with care. At the staff's recommendation, I tried the chicken pita, and thoroughly enjoyed the flavorful chicken and the fresh tzakiki sauce was bright and amazing. Highly recommend... cheers!

Overall- incredibly welcoming and attentive staff, clean casual ambiance, delicious food with reasonable prices and large serving sizes, and single-stall gendered restrooms We went on a Wednesday evening for their $7 gyros and were wildly impressed with every part of the experience. We will definitely be regulars here. The small shop was so busy, but the staff flew through the line and the food came out quick. Every employee was welcoming, attentive, and honestly acting like each of them were having the best day of their lives. The joy and happiness were contagious and you could feel it radiating through the whole place. The menu had lots of things I wanted to try. The food was all delicious, well-balanced, filling, and reasonably priced. I loved that they had the option to get veggies as a side. The fries had a great crispy coating. We liked the regular and the big Greek ones. The string beans were flavorful and melted in your mouth. The gyros were PACKED with tender and tasty meat. I do wish the gyros would have had more Pepperocinis. The baklava was only okay.

Very nice "fast food" restaurant for lunch. The meal was delivered very quickly to our table. The staff is very friendly. I got the Gyro salad, and holy cow!, there is a tone of meat on top. I could hardly eat any of the salad.

summary: walked in not really sure what to expect, but was blown away by the quality of food and the level of service. I'm pretty thrilled about them joining this space and hope they can keep it up! The Big Greek Cafe is a new Mediterranean-style spot that opened on the corner of the business park in Snowden area. To be honest, at this point their exact location itself feels kind of cursed because I've seen good restaurants come and go. So, I've been trying not to get my hopes up in case another one of my go-to restaurants were to leave. Unfortunately for me, that's too late, because Big Greek Cafe delivers. They have a pretty large menu of a large variety of options. One of their promotions is they run a $7 Gyro Pita day on Wednesdays, so I couldn't pass that deal up. The pita they use is very tasty with good chew, the meat is very tender and well seasoned, and their fries are extra crispy. I really had no complaints. The service was exceptional as well. They had a lot of staff greeting you and walking around during the meal to make sure you had everything that you needed. It's always so great to see such a strong staff at a restaurant. The way the ordering works is similar to a fast-food restaurant where you order and then find a seat (if you're dining in). We'll definitely be back and I really hope they stay around for a long time. They're doing a lot of great things and wishing them continued success to their strong start.

The menu offers a nice balance between curated bowls and build-your-own options, and everything on display looked vibrant and genuinely fresh. Even the subtle aroma of garlic in the air set the tone in the best way. I don't usually go for chicken (I cook enough of it at home), but being from Hawaii, there was no way I was passing up on their limited-time Huli Huli chicken. For those unfamiliar, traditional Huli Huli chicken is typically bone-in, skin-on, soaked in a brine, marinated with a blend of soy sauce, ginger, brown sugar, garlic, and pineapple juice maybe rice vinegar or ketchup, it's all left to the cook. Basted several times as the meat is flipped until fully cooked. Back home, you don't just eat it--you experience it. You smell it long before you see it--grilling on those iconic half oil drum kettles along the roadside, often set up for fundraisers or local gatherings. The sight of chicken quarters being flipped ("huli" means "turn") and basted over open flames is pure island nostalgia. So yes, expectations were high. I was offered a sample, and it delivered. The flavor balance was spot on--savory, slightly sweet, and deeply satisfying. The chicken itself was moist and tender. The only thing missing was that classic crispy, charred skin and the full leg quarter presentation you'd find back home--but even so, it didn't disappoint and left me wanting more. My bowl came together beautifully with coconut sweet potato sauce, fresh spinach, garlicky cilantro green beans, and basmati rice. It was flavorful, well-balanced, and delicious. Service was another highlight--the staff was friendly, patient and helpful with recommendations. The space itself is not large to eat in but it was clean, bright with ocean-toned blues that nod to its island inspiration. I'll definitely be back--especially while that Huli Huli chicken is still on the menu.

The truffle popcorn was excellent, our child enjoyed the shrimp and fries, and the fresh tuna appetizer was flavorful, although overly sauced. Unfortunately, the scallops with risotto were unacceptable. Both entrees had a strong ammonia-like taste from the first bite, which was immediately noticeable to both of us. We were unable to get much attention from our server due to how busy the restaurant was, but the dishes were left mostly untouched for a reason. For a $40 entrée, we expected much better quality and execution. Sadly, The Food Market did not deliver.

For a couple of months my friend, who is of Turkish heritage and lives out in Germantown, wanted to meet me closer to my home to go to Cazbar. We went on Saturday, 9/6/25 for lunch (lunch prices are better as why I shot for lunch time). We walked in, and it was fancy Middle Eastern decor. Server was nice & efficient answering questions. I got their take on flatbread pizza called Lamb Pide. Wow, the lamb and pizza as a whole was amazing. My friend got some more expensive platter, which looked good. If I came back, I'd maybe get something like what he got. My friend (& me to a lesser extent) were cogitating on getting a dessert. I think me saying we ate a lot, it's extra calories, & prices are pretty high for dessert, ended up swaying him not to get dessert. Plus, there was a Greek festival and might get a baklava or other dessert there, which I did. Warning the review is long. TLDR: service is so bad and so expensive for shitty quality food. Though their coffee and sangria were delicious. We were seated promptly and while waiting for the rest of my family arrived the waiter brought us water. He claimed the appetizers were good for sharing so I was expecting the portions to be good. Our party was 8 adults and 2 kids. We got 4 appetizers and it's good we got 4 of them because had we gotten 1 or 2, literally everyone would get like 1/2-1/4 piece of appetizer. So not sure why he said the appetizer was good sharing size. Also I want to note these appetizers are not cheap. They were very expensive for the amount you get. You would think if you paid $20-$22 per app you would get more. Literally paying for an entree with significantly less food. Onto the food: The waiter claimed that the Lemongrass chicken was "juicy". We got two of these and it was SO SO DRY. The Mediterranean salad I got was so salty. And the mussels that I also ordered were disappointing. I want to say 60% of the mussels were closed. This indicates that these might have been undercooked, poor quality or simply did not get checked. The mussels were so salty as well. What really pissed me off is that my mom ordered the shrimp tacos. Nothing complicated about that right? Well they never came out. We find out that there was a mixup so they sent it to a different table and we're "working" on a new one. Tell me why almost two hours later they never came out till we asked for the check? Then they magically come out in a to-go container. Literally the sloppiest mess you can imagine. How is that acceptable? You're telling me it took 2 hours to make this pile of shit? And what's even more absurd is their own menu says it comes with fries. Well in that small ass container they did not include fries. I asked about this and they looked confused and said it should come with fries and that they would get it. I have never experience such ABYSMAL, ATROCIOUS service. Sure the waiters and front staff were nice but nice doesn't make up for the terrible service. Something is going on in the kitchen for sure. Why does it take 1 hour for appetizers to come out. And then 45 min after only 3 people's meals come out. In polite company you would wait for everyone's food to come out to begin eating, but idk what they were doing back there that there was such a delay. Once the 4 of us finished our meal well the 5 people's food comes out, they got an entire order wrong. Ordered a kids pepperoni pizza and they brought cheese. We told the waiter that this was wrong and literally 5 min after he brings what I can say is the SAME DAMN CHEESE PIZZA with pepperoni slices right on top and a bit of Parmesan cheese. We could tell it was the same pizza because the pepperoni were sitting right on top like someone just added it on. We complained to the manager and he brought a new pepperoni pizza that was good this time. We had to ask multiple times for condiments and water refills. I could give a little leeway if this restaurant was so busy but it was not busy at all. Our waiter kept peeking over at us and not coming over like he was scared. And if your service is gonna be this bad, at least the food should be good but no. You have terrible service and shitty food that you're paying $$$ for. And gratuity being included is laughable because the service provided was not worth an almost $80 tip. We had to get up and find the waiter to ask for the check and where the hell the shrimp tacos were. In the end they tried to comp only the pizza and the shrimp tacos, but that was unacceptable. They did comp the appetizers. But they tried to give us brunch vouchers but why the hell would we come back to this place that had terrible service?? Make it make sense. And now that I review the 1 star reviews, it is consistent with everything we experienced. Terrible service, missing food, and hunting down the staff. Also the owner responds to bad reviews with AI responses. Shame.
