    Western omelet with hash browns

Its a Bob Evans. Its mid-morning on a week day. Our server was not very friendly but he took our order correctly and provided some extra coffee creamer and coffee upon request. We come here for a solid breakfast, thats it. Seems to be a new manager here since my last visit.

Western omelet with hard Browns (topped with ketchup), and toast.

On 27 October 2023, I had breakfast at Bob Evan's, Columbia, MD. The manager greeted me when I walked in and guided me to an available table. The restaurant decor was very inviting. My waiter, Christina, was very friendly. I ordered the western omelet with extra ham, hash browns, and a side order of rye toast. I'm glad I stopped in for breakfast!!

Grabbed breakfast here the other day. Restaurant was somewhat busy. We were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We both ordered the Farmer's Choice breakfast. It was good, the French Toast didn't have much of a taste. The price wasn't bad. Overall it was better than Dennys and IHOP. Next up on the Old School breakfast tour, Cracker Barrel.

Eggs scrambled with cheese, home fries, and sausage.

Went to Bob Evans on a random Sunday morning. The service was great, yet the food was terrible. The food wasn't even hot. The homefries were dry and tough. It was like the food had been made earlier and placed under a lamp or something. Never again...

The food was so good!!! I am a Cracker Barrel lover and my husband said let's try Bob Evans we have never been. I am so glad we did!!!! The food was delicious and the prices were great!!!! The amount of food my husband had for the Whole Hog and it was under $13!!! I was amazed!!! Lol. I loved my Berry French Toast and home fries!!! My husband loved his food!!! We will definitely eat at Bob Evans again!!! We had a great waitress!!! The Arnold Palmer was good. I loved the atmosphere very friendly and homely!!!

Dull knife. They didn't even cut the bread correctly.

Order- My son had The original Farmer's choice which consist of shredded hash browns, pancakes, scrambled eggs and bacon. I had the build your own omelette which consist of sour dough bread, golden brown home fries, and mushroom with cheddar cheese omelette. Food temperature/taste- Luke warm and lack of taste in all areas. My son and I ordered Doordash and when I say this was such a disappointment, omg, sad. We were better off going to IHOP, but we only decided to come to this location since the one in Rochester, New York is pretty good. Well, we really got fooled. Whomever made the breakfast forgot to cook the mushrooms first and than put it in my omelette as I requested. Next, they buttered the bottom bread and not the top bread. I'm glad I am not a bread eater, I would've been upset about that as well. Look at the photo. Their knives must not be sharp. The bread isn't even cut complete. Sad!!! Last, their website doesn't even have drinks. What restaurant doesn't provide drinks for their customers? Will I do it all over again? Heck no! I will stick to IHOP. I know for a fact they will have everything perfect. Please don't say DoorDash is the reason. I watched when the food was picked from the restaurant and when it was going to be delivered. The driver was on time, so it's the restaurant's fault.

Bob Evans. A nice Diner in Columbia,MD. I ordered Lemon Pepper Sole Filet with mashed potatoes and steamed Broccoli. Price only $13.- for two filet. Mashed potato not the best it's the usual. Staff very nice, restaurant manager came twice if I like the service and the food. Waitress very nice person, so I tipped well. Place quite, clean and nice music. I can recommend.

Decent French toast but not up to Flying with Jerome, the standard by which all French toast shall be judged

I'd never been to one of these and today was the day. Excited? Me neither! Anyway, I ordered brekkie to go with eggs over medium, hashbrowns extra crispy, biscuits, and bacon. The eggs were perfectly cooked although without any salt or pepper so have your own handy! The hashbrowns were slightly crisp but still quite mushy. The biscuits were great, pillowy, salty and doughy. Finally, the bacon was thick, crisp, and perfectly crunchy in a porky, bacony, salty, sweet way. BACON! BACON! BACON! Next time I'll double up on bacon and skip the rest!

We started with the fried calamari. The breading was light and the calamari was very tender. It was probably one of the best calamari appetizers we have had out of dozens of restaurants we have been to. For the main dishes, we had the rattlesnake pasta. This is a pasta dish made with rotisserie chicken, mushrooms, red yellow and green peppers in a Cajun Alfredo sauce. The sauce was not too spicy with just enough bite. It was excellent. I don't usually care for mushrooms but this dish was amazing. The portion sizes were huge. Enough, that we were able to make another meal for the two of us with the leftovers. For dessert we had the cheesecake with oreo cookie crust. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. She was helpful with suggestions. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and spacious. It is decorated with beautiful wood trim. The booths can easily sit six people each. The dining area is huge. I estimate that it can sit anywhere from two hundred to three hundred if not more guests. Soothing music was played throughout the restaurant. There is a bar serving mixed drinks and beer as well as soft drinks. The restrooms are spotless and just as beautiful as the rest of the restaurant. The rotisserie chicken is made fresh and cooked in a rotisserie pit right next to the kitchen. We will be going back with family to try their prime rib. Prices are slightly above average but warranted. You are paying for an elevated dining experience with both the food quality and ambiance. There is ample parking in a large parking lot. The restaurant also offers a separate dining area for special events with outdoor dining. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant.

Oddly enough, it was pretty quiet, but they do have the games on for anyone looking for a low-key spot to watch. We were seated within 5 minutes, which I appreciated. Our server, Patrick, was... okay. Not terrible, but definitely felt new to serving. We didn't get the rundown of the daily specials (yet overheard them being given to the booth behind us), and a few small service details slipped through--but I'm giving him grace based on his newness. One thing I noticed from Yelp reviews is that bread is usually served automatically. We had to request it, especially after seeing tables seated after us get theirs first. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. We ordered several appetizers, and honestly, they were filling enough to be a full meal: * Ribs - Flavorful, tender, and genuinely falling off the bone. The portion sizes were a bit inconsistent--some pieces were cut shorter than others--but the texture was on point. I'd definitely return for these. * Brussels Sprouts - Patrick didn't mention they were shareable, which would've been helpful. I did like the flavor, but in hindsight I'm glad we pivoted to... * Crab Dip - This one missed for me. The flavor leaned more tuna-ish than crab-forward. Not my preference, but you may feel differently. * Shrimp in Spicy Butter - Definitely spicy, but somehow still flavorless. More like spicy water than a seasoned butter sauce. The one bonus? They were served piping hot--exactly how I like my food. * French Fries - Hand-cut and tasty. A solid win. Unfortunately, everything except the shrimp came out lukewarm, which took away from dishes that could've been great. Temperature matters! On the drink side, though? Hits all around. The fresh-pressed beet juice was fantastic, and the sweet tea was also on point. We skipped dessert only because we were full, but I'm already planning to come back specifically to try it--along with the ribs and fries again. Overall, I'm hoping this was just an off day. Elliott's Kitchen has potential, and I'd like to see it shine on the next visit

But the taste is what really matters and Grilled Sesame Salmon didn't disappoint. Wow!! I thought British food was supposed to be flavorless. The Salmon was both sweet and spicy with the teriyaki bang-bang glaze. The jasmine rice cakes added the perfect amount of crunch and the vegetables were as fresh as they appeared. The pub side of the restaurant feels British with ornate wooden features and sounds of laughter from all around. The bartender are knowledgeable and engaging. I'm breaking my own rules, because I feel the 3.9 rating is pretty accurate, with one 5 star + exception. This was a business lunch and a convenient location so there we were. The duck fries as an appetizer were good but needed to be seasoned with a little more salt. I had a strawberry salad with some grilled chicken that was good with the greens, but dry as the desert with the chicken and borderline inedible. Here's the twist!!! My two compadres both had the grilled cheese and lobster sandwich. They both looked at me sheepishly and said, you f ed up!!! William was kind enough to break off a substantial bite and let me try it. Angels sang, children wept, and I almost passed out! It was the kind of perfection we all agreed we would have eaten 5, maybe 6 of these unnaturally awesome sandwiches until we passed out! 3.5 Star service, 4 Star ambience, and some 10 Star bites! The food at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse in Columbia is consistently good, and that's the main reason we keep coming back. Unfortunately, the service has been painfully bad on multiple visits. Long waits, lack of attention, and poor communication have made what should be an enjoyable dining experience frustrating. We continue to return because we genuinely like the food, but good food alone can only carry a restaurant so far. The service issues need to be taken seriously and improved. If BJ's wants to keep customers coming back and remain competitive, management needs to address the service problems, provide better training and support for staff, and create a more reliable experience. We would visit a lot more if we could depend on the service/timeliness. We used to sit at the bar to try to avoid some of these issues but last time we had to physically go across the restaurant and ask our bartender for silverware, after our food had been sitting there for almost twenty minutes.
