Not your typical carry out! Very clean and well maintained. The owners have kept this space up for a long time and you can tell by the customer traffic it is a loved place to get food! When we walked in it was only us and within minutes there were 3 more people following behind to order. The service was very good. We were greeted at the door and even provided suggestions on what to get. The prices are very reasonable and average $10-13 per person. We ordered the cheesesteak combo, shrimp cheesesteak combo and 6 chicken wings. Each combo came with fries and a canned soda. We were able to request salt/pepper/ketchup & hotsauce on our order. This is a normal request in Baltimore and it was nice to find a carry out in Columbia that offers the same goodness that the City offers. The food was perfect! The cheesesteak is packed with flavor with fresh toppings and bread! The fries were fried to perfection and still crispy by the time we got home! The Chicken wings were very crispy and full of flavor down to the bone. This is a must have if you like carry outs!

This place has been bookmarked for some time and I finally made it. I have been looking forward to trying the fried chicken that I saw in the pictures. The person that greeted me was friendly and helpful with offering menu suggestions. The food is made to order so your food is always hot. I ordered wings with a side of Mambo sauce. The wings are not whole wings, instead the wing are cut in half. I didn't like the wings because they had zero taste and I didn't care for their mambo sauce. I think my dilemma is when you are accustomed to good chicken wings AKA chicken boxes then you have expectations that the chicken will be flavored before you add ketchup, hot sauce, or in this case mambo sauce.

Great spot to grab take-out. We have tried a few of the cheese steaks they offer and they have all been very good. The mumbo sauce wings have great flavor! Very friendly service and great takeout food!

Greasy, cold, un appealing food. Couldn't even stomach it. First and last time here. Very unhappy with this place.

We came here yesterday for dinner and definitely glad we did because we love supporting small local businesses in the area. When you come across this restaurant, you wouldn't know it was one..its next to a cleaners and convenience store at the corner of the building. Inside was very small and simple We ordered a bulgogi cheesesteak, regular cheesesteak and 15 wings with mombo sauce and a couple cakes. The bulgogi cheesesteak was delicious, taste just like the poor mans bulgogi I used to make with ground beef. The only problem I had with it was the fact that it was falling out the bread...to many openings for ground beef. The regular cheesesteak was good too, could have used a little more meat, as an eighth of the sandwich was practically bare. It tasted good with the mombo sauce we had leftover from the wings. I could see how they go together well. The wings were good, fried crispy...could have been a little less crispy but was good all the same. Overall, next time I want a cheesesteak, I'm definitely going to add it to my list.

    Cheesesteak & French Fries

The french fries were hot and perfectly crispy outside with fluffy soft potato inside. They had just the right amount of salt and pepper, no ketchup needed - but they offered. The cheese steak had options - I chose plain with provolone. The roll was a good combination of soft and chewy. The man behind the counter was friendly and efficient. The menu covers the wall just inside the door. The are a couple of chairs inside to wait. I didn't have to wait long. 6" Sub, fries, and can soda under $11. So glad i stopped in.

Overly chopped crumbled meat keeps dropping out - it's a chore to keep eating w/o a spoon-it's a SUB!!! No utensils should be necessary

Ugh!!! Hated it!!! One of the worse cheat meals ever! Over chopped meat in steak n cheese subs is a huge disappointment because it CONSTANTLY falls out when trying to eat it. The line cook needs to chill chopping as he's cooking. I mean, I get it. You're feeling ever so invigorating hearing the cling clang sound of the spatula hitting the flat grill as you're chopping & cooking but errr practice some restraint and stop the chopping and just turn it 2/3 times and STOP!!! This meat is now like ground beef- vs thinly sliced steak meat suitable for a sub. Just lifting it and crumbles of meat rolls out. Then it's tasteless AF!!! Ummm - yeah - Montreal Steak seasoning would help w/a splash of Worcestershire sauce as it's cooking or something other than whatever's being used now which I'm guessing is cheap pepper and maybe a dash of salt I paid extra for extra meat but sadly I got extra chopping instead. Definitely not worth the money. The wings & fries - another disappointment to my tastebuds. I'm curious as to those that are raving about this place as to their exposure to good tasting food. I mean like seriously - I'm not looking for 5 star dining for carry-out but TASTY - yes!!! That's not negotiable. But the hours though - you can't beat that plus. I went earlier in the day around 7pm. Maybe the cooks are different at the late night hours - dunno. I'm keeping them just for the open til 3AM bonus and know that I'll have to add seasoning and douse Franks' HOT SAUCE all over...

4 mumbo sauce wings and a small cheesesteak. Very good!

Good food, not great but it's a carry-out. It's a good one in that category. Chicken wings w/mumbo sauce is an experience if you've never had them. A Washington DC area staple sauce although it was started in Chicago years ago. Subs are good too. Def give them a try.

    Bulgogi cheesesteak
    Leslie B.

Ordered bulgogi cheesesteak with fries and the fires were really good, the cheesesteak was good but a bit on the sweet side. Maybe next time I will add some hot sauce to balance it out. Other than that it was pretty good.

Really, it's the Best fried chicken!…read more For years, Chick n Friends has been our go-to for tender juicy lightly-coated fried catfish. Well, i have been missing out! A friend was in town, hungry for fried chicken, and I remembered that this place pressure-fries their chicken. We gave it a try, and oh my it is good! The large pieces of chicken stays juicy, sealed in a not-too-thick well-seasoned coating, and it was still piping-hot and crispy when we got it home from their takeout. They do this better than the big-name fast-food places! We also had a generous serving of crisp hot potato wedges, some fresh-tasting creamy cole slaw, and their always delicious savory collards. I think the thighs were around $3 each, and they were big and flavorful and well-worth it! Simply the best I've had!

The chicken is pressure fried; a cooking method by which chicken is fried in hot oil while sealed in a pressure fryer, creating a pressurized environment that leads to a crispy skin and juicy, tender meat. The chicken is virtually fried to perfection here. My chicken was also seasoned well. And not only is the chicken is fried well, but also the seafood. The ownership touts use of the highest quality ingredients for their chicken and fish which is believable. It seems all of the food is fried to-order, however, the wait can be discouraging especially on busy days. The customer service is good. Overall a good experience and I will visit again.

Crimson Coward (2nd Visit)…read more Came back for a second visit to Crimson Coward and it definitely confirmed why I wanted to give it another try. Food: This time I kept it simple but strategic. I ordered the smash burger combo (only $4.99 to upgrade--great deal), which came with fries and a drink. The burger was stacked with onion, American cheese, pickles, and their signature crimson sauce on a soft brioche bun. Everything worked together--juicy, flavorful, and not overly greasy. I also tried the Quarter Coward (an off-menu item priced at $5.49), got it mild with honey sauce. The chicken was cooked perfectly--tender inside with a nice crisp on the outside. The honey added just enough sweetness to balance the mild heat without overpowering it. Definitely a hidden gem on the menu. Atmosphere: The space is bright, clean, and inviting. I especially liked the open kitchen concept--it gives transparency and lets you see everything being made fresh. Plenty of tables available if you're dining in. Customer Service: You're greeted when you walk in, which I always appreciate. Ordering is primarily done through kiosks, so interaction is minimal unless you need assistance--but the setup is smooth and efficient. Wait Time: Everything is cooked to order, which I don't mind. I placed my order at 3:16 PM and had my food by 3:30 PM, so about a 14-minute wait--pretty reasonable for fresh food. Overall: Solid second experience. Good quality, fair pricing, and consistent execution. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu--especially those off-menu finds

It was a pleasant surprise when I recently googled fried chicken and this location popped up in my search. It has been open for a few months. My husband called in our order while we were driving as the chicken can take awhile since it is made to order. We purchased half a chicken box which consist of four piece chicken (drumstick, breast, wing, thigh), fries, coleslaw, and a slice of bread. Although it took a little longer than normal, it was worth the wait. The fries and chicken were piping hot and crispy. When I bit into the chicken, it was crackling and so hot I had to blow on it. Aside from fried chicken, they also sell fish, wings, sides, and dessert. It's worth noting that their infamous lemon pepper seasoning, often referred to as crack because it's addictive, is available for purchase. My husband was thrilled to see this as the Glen Burnie location does not sell it. When I started taking pictures, one of the owners, Tiger, saw me and started chatting. My husband and I learned that he, his two brothers and his son are the owners of this franchise and that there are 43 locations. I had no idea there were so many. This location has a few tables and chairs, but patrons predominantly just do carry out. We are ecstatic to have our favorite fried chicken franchise so close to home.

I ordered the six‑piece soy garlic wings with fries, and he went with the spicy chicken strips and rice. When he arrived at the restaurant, about 15 minutes away, the order wasn't quite ready, so he had to wait a few minutes. When he picked up the bag, it felt light, so he checked and realized my fries had been forgotten. They corrected it right away, and they were very generous with the portion. My husband thinks they may have added extra to make up for the oversight. One thing I really appreciated: despite being carry‑out, nothing was soggy. Our wings, chicken strips, and fries were still super crispy by the time we sat down to eat, which is rare. With how expensive food is these days, we felt the lunch menu was reasonably priced at $11.99 per entrée. I've definitely missed dining here, and I hope to take advantage of their weekday lunch specials, available from 11 to 3 PM, more often.
