We stopped here on our way back to Atlanta, and unfortunately the experience was terrible from start to finish. The Filet-O-Fish was cold, and the customer service was beyond horrible. Myra was at the counter talking on her phone while we were placing our order at the kiosk, but that wasn't even the worst part. The biggest issue came when I went back inside because I had paid for extra caramel on my sundae. The young lady, Myra who I encountered was extremely rude. When I explained that I had ordered extra caramel, she looked over at another associate, smirked, and said, "That is extra." She then walked away and disappeared for a couple of minutes. When she came back out, she nearly brushed against my shoulder while taking another order out. I calmly told her, "Did you hear me say that was okay? I'll just get my money back." In a rude tone, she responded, "You're going to have to wait on the manager to come back." I asked how long that would be, and she replied, "She's just going to tell us to remake it anyway." I then asked if she could simply remake it vs having me wait, and she walked off again. When she finally returned with the sundae, I even said, "I promise I'm not trying to be difficult. I come in peace." She turned around and walked away without responding. No franchise should employ people who treat customers this way. What an amazing crew today at this location. The woman drive thru taking orders is incredibly kind and cheerful. The food was delivered hot and timely. The young woman at the food window also was smiling and ready with a "good morning". I heard a polite ask for patience in the drive thru as she asked the driver for just a moment as they were short handed. Grace under pressure- love it. read more

This McDonald's is located on Interstate Drive just off of Interstate 20 and 59 at exit 77 in Cottondale. There is a Chevron store and station right next door, and you can enter between the two businesses there. There are no restrooms on the McDonald's side, but there are on the Chevron side. The reason for the stop was to get something for lunch on the way home (would get home the following day). The visit here was on July 27, 2019. My niece was with us on the way home and she wanted to get something for lunch from McDonald's, so we stopped in here. The place was busy, but not too busy. This location has daily $5 meal deals too. After waiting in line for a few moments, it was time to order. My mom got the $5 meal deal of the day, my niece got a cheeseburger meal, and I got a Quarter Pounder with cheese meal. A few minutes after ordering the order was ready and time to eat. The food came out nice and hot, as it should be. The food is typical of any McDonald's you would visit across the country. The fries were good and hot, and not overly salty too. Overall, this was a good experience. I like the idea of the $5 daily meal deals as well. The food was good and service was fine. I would stop here again in the future if the timing is right and I am in the area. read more

I was actually cussed out on 11/30/24 at about 9:30 pm after waiting about an hour for our food. I politely asked for a refund. The worker named JR screamed at me told me I could keep my stinking A__ drinks! He didn't want them. I hadn't even put a straw in the 3 cups. He continued to rant and scream that he had to get his F- ing manager up there to give me a F- ing refund. That my F- ing A_ _ should be at home 3 days after Thanksgiving not at McDonalds. He continued to yell that I was going to take those sinking A__ drinks and pour them out myself. He yelled at the other patrons - Is there anybody else that wants a F-ing refund while I got my F-ing manager up here! Other people started to line up behind me. He continued to curse and rant. He never wore gloves, his hands were in his personal pants and jacket pockets. The drink area had no ice, drinks had been spilled everywhere, lids, straws, a paper trash was everywhere. The place smelled of garbage. There were 12-15 people waiting on food for over 45 minutes. Other people were in there eating with their children while this was going on. Disgusting! read more

The staff was so rude! They ran out of icecream and did not have McFlurry and the girl name shameriya came out and rudely asked what you want. Anything i asked for, apparently was not available and wanted me to call on phone for refund. Then when i said crispy chicken she brought hot and spicy chicken and was rude when I said its not what i asked as i asked for crispy chicken. She showed attitude and left and said ill just get the manager. when i followed her, i heard her curse me loud in the restaurant and manager brought me out as well saying lobby is closed and she will bring the sandwich out. Worst service ever. I dont have to spend my money at a place where customers are cursed for ordering food! I've always went to this McDonald's instead of the one a mile away from my house, but I just recently went there and there is a new girl working there that is just rude. I ordered two big mac meals, two Hamburg meals and an order of fries. However i asked for sauces to go with our fries, because no one wants some dry a** fries. They lady told me since I didn't get no chicken nuggets I couldn't get any sauces and I would have to go back through the line to pay for sauces. i came back with well can I at least get some ketchup and she gave me ONE PACK OF KETCHUP. My Thursday 11/15/18 07:00 was unique to say the least. I stopped by McDonalds here in Tuscaloosa for a Carmel Macchiato for my 32 mile morning drive to work. I was in a hurry so I didn't check my order and I noticed they left off the whipped cream which is the only thing that makes it taste good off. So i stopped at the next McDonalds in Cottondale and asked if they would add the whipped creme. I explained to the drive thru lady what happened and asked if they could remedy this by adding whipped creme. She said it wasnt from her store. She then brought in another employee to support her view. I asked to speak to their manager. They took my coffee and asked me to goto next window. The manager was there and I gave him the story. He told me they were owned by another company and couldnt do that and that I should go back to the other store to fix. I said I know you are owned by different owners but you are still a Franchisee of McDonalds and shouldbe able to fix a simple customer service such as this. I had not raised my voice or was disrespectful to the manager and then he got frustrated with me because I disagreed with him. He then asked me if I wanted my "GOD D!!MN Coffee!! Back". I said excuse me and yes I want it back. I then said there is no reason for you to say that to me. I then asked for his name and he refused and walked away. 2 separate employees would not give me his name. Finally I got it from one and I left. I have never had such an experience over such a small issue. I would really like to see how that individual would handle a serious situation if it occurred. This was pretty good. It's a combination gas station. They had biscuits and sausage gravy - don't see that too often at McDonalds. It was good. My complaint was that the restaurant itself was cold. I don't think that they had the heater on. They also charged $0.25 for water. I'm not used to paying for water in restaurants. read more

I was in the drive thru for about 10 minutes before I could even pay. After about 15 minutes, I received my food. I ordered two plain cheeseburgers (just meat and cheese I specified), when I got he food it was way too wrong. The cheese was on half the burger on one and slathered in sauce and onions. read more

Came to this mcdonalds around 10pm in hopes for a quick bite before calling it a night. The customer service was appalling. The wait for a burger was 12 min. I would understand if it was packed, but there was no one else in the restaurant. The food was good when I finally received it. Mcdonalds fries with ketchup are the only reason I was nice on the review. read more
