Friendly staff and fresh chicken. In and out quickly. One of the best Popeyes locations in my book.

My nephew wanted Popeyes Chicken. So we first stopped at a location that was no longer selling the three wing special, no problem. We decided on something else but was told it would be an extended wait. We left and I was able to see this location on our way home. We were able to order the three wing special with fries. Everything was hot and fresh. The only small complaint is that the ice machine was not working but I usually order without ice anyway but my nephew wanted to fill up his cup. Food was good on this visit, I would stop here again. read more

The service at this popeyes is the absolute worst. I walk in there are no customers. 2 employees playing around at the drink machine. Yes playing with the flavors and chatting. After a few minutes a manager peeks around the corner and says hey we have a customer. The response "oh yeah I'll get her order". What did they think i was there for. Oh and after all that they had no honey BBQ wings...smh read more

Customer service in the place has to come a ways. They lost my order then took me 2 times asking for help to finally get my food.

Waited 45 minutes for 2 chicken sandwiches they took 15 orders through a kiosk that the workers don't even hardly know how to use before completing anyone's order terrible service, drinks were no good. read more

This location was awful! Terrible service, the person spent 5 minutes talking to the manager about their schedule while standing in front of me, I was the only one waiting to place an order. I ordered a regular fry and a regular drink, she charged me over $8 and when they finally gave me my order she shoved the bag at me and said "here ya go" The fries were barely warm. read more

The manager was being very rude to the workers. The boy in the front, Ian, was doing a good job in my opinion but she kept yelling at him and bossing him around while she presumably did nothing. The food and orders took an hour because she had Ian running around back and forth between food and orders while she did nothing to help. The worst customer service. The employees were too busy taking each other's orders instead of customers. It looked like one of the cooks was socializing with someone in the lobby instead of cooking. Literally a highway dinner stop for us. We ordered and ate in the parking lot so we didn't have to leave our dog alone. I had never had Popeyes until about 3 years ago and now it's my favorite fast food fried chicken. Perfect spice. Tender meat. Incredible gravy on the potatoes and the biscuits! Delicious. God awful place. The staff is rude, and they never fill online orders. They were out of everything I ordered on two orders(imagine, a chicken place out of CHICKEN!) , and Popeye's worthless 'customer service' wouldn't even give me a refund! I guess this scam works for them. To add insult to injury, they are bigots. Each time I went in, I was the only person of my color, and I was laughed at once(with comments of 'don't be scared ******* boy'.). The last time, they actively ignored me when I came on to get my online order. It's no biggie, because I have zero time for people that think that way, and can take care of myself. But, an older person is a different story. Anything that happened AFTER my first experience is on me. I thought 'hey, everyone has a bad day'. Boy was I wrong. There are BAD people, as well. Haven't had fried chicken in a while but suddenly had a craving for Popeyes spicy chicken. I went to the exit 100 location and was pleasantly surprised at the great customer service and how quickly my #2 combo was prepared. The chicken was hot, crispy and spicy! It felt good going to a fast food restaurant and receive great customer service along with a good hot meal. I ordered strawberry biscuits and a spicy chicken sandwich meal and the fries were the only thing that were good and they only gave me a few. The biscuits were so old they were no longer red/pink they were brown and they were also tough like it had been thawed out and reheated. The chicken sandwich was the same, soggy skin like it had been thawed and reheated And the buns were tough and soggy and the same time also. I'm new to the area and was excited to have dinner only to spend almost $20 and couldn't eat any of it, very disappointing I don't have money to waste. read more

Was on my way to Atlanta, and had to stop for the regular pee break. Turned off the interstate and noticed this gas station had a Popeyes. Freaking sweet. It's tiny on the inside of the Popeyes part. Doesn't bother me. When I'm craving Popeyes, imma get Popeyes. Doesn't matter if I have to sit in a cardboard box. The spicy dark that I got was on top of the game. It was juicy. Felt like I was holding a waterfall in my hands. It was hot and fresh, so it was like I was holding a boiling hot waterfall in my hands. The chicken was just cooked to 100% satisfaction. That bird might have been pissed it died, but it was honored in death. The skin was crunchy. Felt like I was biting into a slice of perfect crunch, because I was. I asked for honey for my biscuit and chicken because that's the move. Homeboy behind the counter hooked me up with plenty. I've been given light amounts of honey when I requested it at some Popeyes, but this dude practically gave me the hive. I swear a colony of bees was pissed at me. Ok the second time within two weeks and I guess could say bad service. The first time was thirty minutes before they closed and walked in and was told they were out of everything, well except for the bag being loaded up for the fella there (a very big bag). Now just went in at 9 pm a hour before closing and told they were out of chicken sandwiches and I asked what the bread and she said no the chicken till tomorrow. Which is a Saturday. Well ok. Already putting chairs on the tables and no tea which is the reason I got the drink. So I've come to the conclusion the best time to come here is when a manger is here or one that cares is there But you decide for yourself. read more

I never rate or write about fast food stops but this was excellent in so many ways I had to. The location was easy they and spotless. The food was perfect and not old stuff that had been sitting there. But the BEST was our server Nakia. I can't say enough about how pleasant, professional, polite & pretty she was. Stopped in today on my way to Tannehill State Park. I visit there around 3 times a month and I have never had a bad experience! The cashiers are always so friendly and there is a young man name Rodney (I believe that is his name) who deserves to be recognized. He is always one step ahead of the cashier. When you are second in line he asks what you want and goes ahead and starts making it so it will be served fresh, and hot and most times ready before you even finish paying. He is so kind and is always smiling! Today I witnessed a very rude customer take out his frustrations on this young man and he handled himself so professionally! Very kind and apologetic. This young man is going places! The food here is always so good and fresh! Good job Popeyes! read more

Holy moly! That new chicken sandwich is amazing! Way better than Chic-Fil-A. The chicken breast is larger than what you get at CFA. The pickles and fries are better too. This location is convenient and the person that took my order was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back. read more

First and last visit to this place. While it was nice and tasted like any other Popeye's, $8.19 for a two piece combo is excessive. This is a truck stop location, not an airport where'd it would make sense to have higher prices than average. Over 10 for a platter which would include two sides. I have no problem with the food itself. It was Popeye's chicken like anyone but there's no way I'd spend this much at Popeye's again. Fool me once.... If you are traveling I 20 and want popeye's just drive into the city if heading east or make sure you stop in before you pass Birmingham or wait until you get to Tuscaloosa if heading west. read more

Like Jeff B way overpriced. It's now 8.59 for a 2 piece. I ordered 3 piece tender for 8.79 Guest area was clean. Lady taking orders was nice enough. Service was slow and then they gave me non spicy when I ordered spicy. They were out and she offered spicy if I could wait. I wouldn't even stop at Popeyes if it wasn't for the spices. I had already waited long enough so ate the plain chicken and got back on the road. Big disappointment read more

This is a rather small location attached to the Petro. However, the entrance is outside, you can't get to it from inside the Petro. We received our food quickly and it was fresh and hot. I love the sweet tea here, definitely some of the best you'll get from a chain fast food establishment. The food is on the pricey side, but it's worth it and so much better than KFC in my opinion. read more

I will start with saying the first thing I notice about any restaurant is it's cleanliness or lack thereof. The food is what you would expect, order was received in a timely manner. I went in today at 3:21 pm not expecting anything but leftover chicken. They were frying a batch when I ordered. We did not eat until 7:30 pm. I brought the chicken home removed from the box and put on a cookie sheet in a cold oven for 4 hours. It was still delicious.
