Our first visit to Slims. I am so glad we checked it out! The restaurant was clean which is always a plus. Our food came out in about 20 minutes which is a good sign that it is cooked fresh and not sitting under a heat lamp. Will stop here again when we visit Tuscaloosa. You should too! read more

I wish that they had a location in Philadelphia, I would be here all the time. Wings are my favorite and I consider myself a wing expert. These wings were really good , especially for a fast food chain! They were better than a lot of places near me that offer wings so I lived it. Very comparable to zaxbys and my wife liked the tenders even better the. Zaxbys. I think the wings were as good or better then zaxbys and I love zaxbys! Great chicken joint that everyone in the family will enjoy. Menu stretches beyond just normal chicken tenders and fries with their chicken & waffles, salads, etc. We got the chicken tender meals with fries, toast, and drink. Chicken is outstanding and I love the fried flavor. I also really liked their choice of flavored teas and drink selections. Inside and outside were clean and nice environment with all the TVs and seating. Nice modern looking building with great food. We'll be stopping by again next time we're in town. read more

The Food was very good and the staff had great customer service. I let them know that I was traveling through Alabama and this was my first visit and they did not disappoint. The tenders were crispy and fries as well. The salad was so good, especially with the fresh fried onions. The parmesan garlic wings were tasty, the only complaint is that when ask if they good make the wings extra crispy it was a $7 surcharge. Desserts were really good. We got the Oreo Cheesecake in a jar and the Cookie dough brownie in a jar. The cookie dough brownie in a jar did have broken up heath toffee bars inside with was really good. Our office ordered lunch delivery from Tuscaloosa Slim Chickens today and the food was not edible. The wings were flabby and not cooked. I even asked for extra crunchy and the French fries were not cooked, either. I was not the only one in our group that was not able to eat their food. read more

Located in the heart of Tuscaloosa. Modern and a great hangout spot for family and friends. The service was exceptional and the food was absolutely amazing. This was my first time there and the cashier recommended the chicken finger basket and boy was it a delight. Another chicken fast food restaurant that doesn't compare to our favorite. Good, but not great. The service was very friendly and fast although the food is average. We had the chicken tenders and fries and a chicken wrap. The sauce options are plentiful although you only get one with the 3 or 4 piece meal. I wish they let you get more than one so we could try some different options. The breading on the chicken was light and tasty. The restaurant itself was very clean. read more

I understand kids are running the drive through. However our experience through the drive thru was the worst experience we've ever had. We ordered 2 kids means, I coke 1 sprite 1 checked tender meal with okra and a sweet tea We received- 2 kids meals 1 sweet tea and 1 coke The young lady was confused, impolite and threw the food toward us when we got to the window. This is probably one our must eat places when we are in town visiting family. We try to save it for our way out of town so we can end the trip on a good note. The service is pretty quick and the food quality is on point every time we've went. The chicken definitely is different from any other chicken place we've ate at before or the other ones close to it. It's always clean and nice when we go in. I wish we had one close to us or they would build one in our town! Has root beer. It is Barq's, so if you're a Mug Maniac, this place isn't for you. Ice is smaller than your normal cubed ice, sol guess I would call this semi-crushed. Has lots of air bubbles in it so it's nice to cronch. The fries are really good too, but would not recommend dipping them in your root beer. read more

Took the family for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Dine in area was plenty big enough and wasn't crowded. Ordering was easy and pleasant which was a surprise to me being a brand new restaurant and only having been open a few days. Food arrived quickly, accurately and hot all three are a plus! Listen here!! These were the absolute BEST CHICKEN TENDERS I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE !!! I got a 5 piece chicken tenders meal and had them dip my strips in Buffalo sauce and oh my goodness . I got sick after eating here. About an hour after eating I started feeling like I needed to burp but couldn't. Within 24 hours it was really bad. I barely had any food after eating lunch from here due to the indigestion so I'm fairly sure it was from this restaurant. read more

Came in on a Sunday morning when they first opened. We were greeted promptly and given information on the food we had questions about. Both of the ladies working the front counter were very friendly and I appreciated their prompt customer service. One of the ladies came to check on us a couple times to make sure everything was okay. I have one of these locations back home, and I was so happy to see one open in Tuscaloosa! They always cook the chicken to order, so you know it's going to be fresh. Their fries are just alright, but their other sides (potato salad/Mac and cheese) as well as their Texas toast are all delicious. Wings are crispy and extremely tender, and every dipping sauce and wing flavor I've tried is immaculate. Definitely a little pricier than Foosackley's or Guthrie's, but I would say Slim's gives you more variety and is higher quality. read more

Slim chickens is a wonderful fast food joint. Personally I find it better than chick fil a with all of their options. The place is clean and the staff is nice, but sometimes they can be forgetful on the smaller things you order like a side of cayenne ranch that I unfortunately did not receive today. All in all edible but not enjoyable. I went with the bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes with gravy and a side of Mac and cheese. I'll start with the Mac. It was horrible. Sorry don't mean to be a downer but wasn't good at all. The mashed and gravy a big nope. The potatoes weren't all that good. It was like eating a plat of spackle. And the gravy was horrendous. Made bad potato's worse. The meatloaf was ok. Kind of like cafeteria meatloaf. I did eat it but wasn't thrilled. Again not a fan of that bacon so ditched that after one bite. Personally I would not go back and wife agreed. Maybe we got the wrong items but nothing was good.
