A few notes from someone who has lived by this McDonalds for almost ten years: Very consistent: you can count on this McDonalds to take forever to get you through the drive-thru. Once you finally make it to the window they will ask you to pull into a spot to wait even longer no matter how busy they might be. Seriously, pull up, turn the car off and take a nap. You are gonna be there a loooong time. A few times I've been forgotten completely. Above and beyond: The employees of this McDonalds go out of their way to screw up your order. They do a great job at it. Atmosphere: disgustingly filthy inside, take a look at the grease on the electronic order machines. Large order of Covid-19 anyone? Friendly faces: while waiting (for a looong time) in the drive-thru you will most certainly encounter drug addled and mentally unstable folks approaching your vehicle asking for everything under the sun. You might even get threatened, how about that for a happy meal?! Long story short, shame on me for continuing to go here. Today was the last straw where I got a little bit of all of the above. This location gets credit for being unusually quick for how busy they are and they frequently have fresher food than other MacDonald's I go to... but your order will be wrong. Absolutely every time I order from here it's during breakfast on Saturday and every single time they get something wrong. Previous times I've been wrung up correctly but received the wrong things almost every time but this most recent time was especially frustrating because I had to repeat myself 5 times to get the kid taking my order to understand the difference between ONE order of hotcakes and sausage and Four orders. I was so busy arguing with this genius about the difference in numbers that sound nothing alike to notice he also doesn't understand the difference between burritos and biscuits. Worst restaurant I have ever been to. I waited inside for 20 minutes (no line) to pick up Uber eats. I was told they were just waiting on a pie to complete the order. That took 15 extra minutes before I left, without the food. There were 9 people waiting to order and just one running register. The girl at the register left for a period of time. Just another example of how McDonald's doesn't care about their customers! I walked into the restaurant at 10:32 AM and placed my order for a large coffee. The receipt says 10:33 AM. I waited until 10:38 AM, according to my phone, before I asked where my black coffee was. I could see it sitting there already prepared for me; however, none of the McDonald's team members could care less that my coffee was just sitting there and I was waiting for it. I had to actually ask for my coffee and then I asked the manager why it took at least five minutes for me to get one large black coffee ... the manager dismissed me! The restaurant wasn't busy, there were only three orders showing on the screen and it should never take more than five minutes to get one large drink! ANOTHER SLAP IN THE FACE: I called the 888 number that was listed on my receipt and also on the door of the restaurant. It seems when you call McDonald's customer care number you get an answering service ... just another example of why McDonald's could care less about their guests! read more

Who's up for using some steel toed boots on a dead horse? This is the saddest "restaurant" I have ever been to. I only ever go there when I'm fallen off the No Fish Wagon and desperate to get to the rock gym. But it's a mistake even then. There should be some advantage to fast food. It should, at least, be fast. But the petrified line of cars at the drive-through here makes the "Global Warming" light in my head blink epileptically, and when I go inside I am almost completely ignored. Last time I tried this, I was the only customer who had bothered to come indoors. A sickly looking woman was selling cosmetics to the old lady-lifers behind the counter, who were more concerned about the saleslady's health than any very necessary improvements to their looks. Or their jobs. I imagined what it must be like to earn one's living from McDonald's or Avon and kept my mouth shut. At least fifteen minutes later, I emerged with a single fish sandwich (crusty) and a healthy dose of depression. Jim gave us the best service I have ever had a McDonald's. You should get a raise and praise from corporate. If I could select a CEO for McDonald's I would select Jim from Covington Kentucky. Well, it's McDonald's. My son loves the arches, so this is where we go for daddy-dates sometimes. Food comes out a little slower than "fast-food" at this location. Also, make sure to let me know if you hang out for more than 30 mins...there's a large sign on the door of this location that says you cannot stay longer than that "while consuming food." For the past fee years they have constantly gotten orders wrong, their staff has terrible customer service and always have an attitude, and they are extremely slow even when they are not busy. This McDonald's employee made me very upset. He gave us one straw for two drinks. We ordered two fries and he gave us one that was overdone. Our chicken nuggets were over done. The employees were not very welcoming and our Coca-Cola was watered down. Not to mention how we asked for honey mustard and he gave us hot mustard. Once we corrected him he then gave us honey. Why did I even go here? I broke my no McDonald's rule for a milkshake and I hate myself for it. Here are the problems I ran into: 1) This was the slowest McDonald's I've ever seen. It took 11 minutes to get a stinkin milkshake 2) I asked for no whipped cream. I got whipped cream. Is it really that hard? 3) I ordered chocolate, but it tastes like 3/4 chocolate, 1/4 strawberry. Every time I have come to this location my order has been wrong, either food forgotten or burgers made the wrong way. Always rushing u on speaker and not the most polite. They got the order wrong and I had to pay for my wrong food plus the new food the way I asked for. I repeated my order 3x at speaker and still wasn't right. Yes, there is always a long line in the drive-thru of this McDonald's. It's not because the service is bad though. It's because it's the only McDonald's in Covington and people love fast food in Kentucky. Come on people, you give it 1 star because you had to wait in line? Not their fault. This is a decently clean restroom but nothing special. Like all McDonalds the restroom and whole store has been renovated for a more modern adult feel. the restroom was clean but doesn't look like it has been really scrubbed hard. I'm still wondering why McDonalds hasn't jumped on the xlerator bandwagon yet. Man i love those hand dryers! We showed up on 5-31-19 with 2 buses full of hungry 5th graders and I didn't know how they could handle the madness. The management and staff knocked it out of the park. This McDonald's is one of the worse. We go here often because it's the closest to us at the moment, but every time we go, they mess up our order and never apologize for it. The most recent trips we've taken here, we have had to wait over 30 minutes. A few days ago we went through the drive through and they had forgotten three things. We had to go inside to get what we were missing. Today we decided to go back; This time walking inside. We arrived at 1:10 P.M. and left with our order at 1:53 p.m. I am extremely unhappy about this. Good sausage, egg & cheese biscuit and coffee. Wasn't crowded, service good and quick. Perfect for a quick breakfast. The manager at the front counter had total control of restaurant, ensuring orders got out quick and everyone got a "thank you" and "Have a nice day". This restaurant is never quick and the workers are always rude when I come thru the drive thru. I also work for a food delivery company and the McDonald's are often bad about miscommunication. Because of the lack of well trained workers I decline many orders because I don't have hours to waste sitting in this line. read more

Everything rises or falls on leadership. The management at this location just doesn't CARE and it's obvious from the bad attitudes and low quality service of the workers. McDonalds has some very good locations, but this is NOT one of them. Just read all of the previous reviews here. Most of them are bad, somehow a handful of people had good experiences, but the vast majority say this place is awful!! The workers won't ever care more than their boss does. This has got to be the worst establishment in the country. The couple times I've been to this McDonald's location have been horrific, but this past one will be the last. I asked the cashier if I would get the most monopoly pieces if I ordered a large number one and she said that was correct. I ordered a large number one (Big Mac meal), paid the cashier and drove to the next window. When I got to the second window the girl advised me that the cashier had put the order in as a medium and I would have to give her 50 cents for the large. I explained that I had ordered a large and should not have to pay for the cashiers mistake. The girl ended up giving me a sweet tea cup with diet coke, a medium size fry, and a big mac container all of which did not have any monopoly pieces. I noticed the error once I was home, so I had to drive back to the store. I explained to the manager, that I was given the wrong items. The girl at the second window gave me the wrong order again, and then the manager took it back and replaced it with the correct order. I told the manager I didn't feel I should have to pay for the experience and he advised the my card was not charged. I asked very clearly multiple times if my card had been charged and the manager eventually admitted that the original charge had not been reversed. The manager claimed that the charge could not be reversed because it had been completed on the previous day (it was around midnight). I checked the original receipt and had ordered after midnight, which I then told to the manager, but he still refused to reverse the charge. I returned the food and he still refused to refund my money and then threatened to call the police. I realize that I probably shouldn't get worked up over an interaction with the late night crew at a fast food restaurant as they're almost guaranteed to be social and mental degenerates, but this interaction went to horribly wrong that I had to write about it.
