Went through the drive thru at this McDonald's and ordered, and paid for, a frozen coke just for the 2nd window person to say they don't have what we ordered. It always takes forever to get through this McDonald's. Either foods takes 20 minutes or one of the drive thru's aren't working.

Is it possible that this may be the worst managed MacDonald's in America? I went to my first MacDonald's around 1964. This is the worst one I have ever gone into. The bathrooms were disgusting, and yet it looked to be staffed fully up front. Ordering was a tedious nightmare where the cashier actually asked me to repeat the order, rather than him telling me! The fries were not great. The Crispy Chicken was not quite as crispy as it should be. It took forever to get a glass of tea, and the manager made it very clear that there were no refills. One staffer was "washing" floors, but really was just spreading the grease around...very slippery. We ordered some McNuggets with Ranch and BBQ sauce. We got Hot and Sour! This one can be by-passed no matter how hungry you are. read more

This was our go to McDonald's because the one closest to us in Gastonia just has poor customer service and the order is never right. Once again the McDonald's near us was not accepting cards and they don't sell Filet-o-Fish after 10 pm but you can order it on their app, so we called the ever faithful Dallas location to confirm they were accepting cards and they were still selling Filet-o-Fish and they confirmed they were. Drove past the McDonald's near our home to get to the Dallas McDonald's only to be told after placing the order and pulling around to pay that they were cash only. The people in front of us used a card, guess it broke when we pulled up. read more

I don't know how many time this McDonalds didn't have milkshakes or ice cream but know they don't even have Coffee! yes, no coffee people.

This is the WORST McDonald's I have ever been to! We would stop there often with our kids on our way home from Charlotte during the week.... They have had issues every time! Their excuses: "we're only selling chicken nuggets and fries...", "we are closing for an hour for shift change.."(@8pm on a Tuesday), "we dont have any coffee drinks" And once we sat at the speaker listening to the workers conversation and to them laughing and playing around and no one ever took our order after 10 mins we pulled away... The last time, I did a mobile order, included an iced latte... I got to the window to pick our order up and the worker never spoke, just handed me my back and shut the window. I waited for my drinks and latte... she opens the window and says "what?" I told her nicely that I was waiting on my drinks and she turned around and grabbed them and said we didn't have the latte and shut the window... I said "excuse me... I paid for the latte tho, can I at least get something in place of it!?" She did give me an ice cream sundae. Which was half the price of the latte. But she was not happy about it. . read more

I live just down the road so I go pretty often... SUPER nice staff but they forget my sauce every time.... EVERY TIME! I hate that it's such a big deal but it's literally their only job lol figure it out or stop charging me for sauce!!!!!!!!! Everything I go to this location early morning (around 4-5 am) or on holidays they claim their system is down. This is supposed to be a 24 hr location. Seems more like their employees are just too lazy to work, so they lie to customers so they can get paid without actually having to work. read more

I am going to leave a bad review for McDonald's. Talk about poor choices and bad decisions! I was traveling back to CLT from Boone yesterday and stopped at this one, because I will admit McDonald's has the best iced tea. When I pulled in and saw what a fiasco the drive-thru was, I said I was going to walk in until my friend tells me I have no patience. Fine. We sat in that drive thru long enough for me to scroll Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, check my email, pay a few bills, and then I finally make to the magic box to place my order. It was still another 15+ minutes to get to the window to pay! I don't understand what these people are doing in there. But never trust a friend that tells you, you have no patience. I think she learned a lesson too. So, I am one of those annoying half cut tea people because I just can't drink maple syrup. I may also be convinced I will go back to high school weight if I just don't drink half that sugar. My moment of glory for that delicious sought after tea arrives and she drops the bomb. They have no unsweet tea. WTH??? I asked her why I wasn't told 30 minutes ago at the magic box when I ordered it. I didn't realize Gaston county, or anywhere in the South for that matter had such a rush on unsweet tea. My dreams were crushed at that moment and I drove back to CLT with a 5 pound bag of sugar in a McDonald's cup. If you want to hear the story of the Cheeseburger, just let me know. This place is usually slow as molasses , unless you catch them on a good day but I wanted to share this because I thought it was kind of funny , I wanted to stop for some breakfast after picking up my medicine across the street because who can resist freshly cooked hash browns and a bacon egg and cheese biscuit from McDonald's ... well when I pull up there are fire trucks rushing in and everyone started evacuating the McDonald's ... and people were still trying to go through the drive thru... I don't know what happened and I pray that everyone is safe but people trying to go through the drive through because they weren't as busy as they usually are was just hilarious to me ... Everytime I come here my order is messed up, shorted, or I am over charged. This time my fries (see picture), was laughably short. I know I don't need them, but still. Always do a bag check, receipt check, and quality check before you leave the drive thru. Smh I'm firing this place! read more

Decided to try McDonald's for the first time in a long time; huge mistake. I ordered a double cheeseburger. Bit into the burger and it was uncooked in the middle, on both patties. Amazing, a failure rate of 200%. I'd be impressed if I weren't so disgusted. Really need to get those burger-making robots installed at this location, then maybe the average IQ of the employees might rise to the triple digits. read more

I stopped by to get a couple of burgers and some fries and after waiting for service in the drive through and watching others being waited on in the parallel line I finally was able to order after about 15 minutes of waiting for the employee to take my order . They took payment quickly and had my bag of " food " ready for me at the pickup window. I drove home and found that my food was cold , very cold and certainly not edible. I attempted to call twice that day to no answer and once again the following day but still no answer. At this point I decided to call corporate office complaints number and the woman I spoke with was very apologetic and understanding but offered no recourse. She did ask if I wanted a follow-up contact and that it would be a franchise owner so I agreed . Once again no contact was made . I guess we are all expected to pay for food that's inedible and just accept that. I won't ever be back , not this location or any others. I'll tell everyone I can about this horrible experience and I'm sure that the only way things will change is when these uninterested owners stop filling their bank accounts . I'm sure their scared of dissatisfied customers with real issues and complaints , just like their staff that won't answer the phone . Makes me wonder when my food was prepared ....... that day or perhaps even that week. I wouldn't bet on it . The food looked terrible and everything was cold . I only wish that I could give them a negative star rating like they truly deserve. One star is far to generous and kind . I ordered 2 burgers and a basket of fries . The basket was 2 half orders of small fries . Not even equivalent to one whole order of small fries and the burgers were cold , disgusting and the buns must have been left out for days becuz the bread was stale , dry and hard . Not one single part of my order was acceptable and I just ended up throwing away the food and the money . Next time I think about McDonald's I'll save a step and just throw the money in the trash . Certainly less frustrating. GOODBYE McDonald's. I'm done giving second and third ( actually much more ) chances . If you value your health and your money go elsewhere. I know that food is supposed to be served at a minimum temperature and I know this was nowhere near half that temperature. Truly pitiful and disgusting. Take my advice and go elsewhere !! I'm writing this for therapeutic reasons, I think. And the second star is for one guy at the counter...read on. For my Northern friends, this McD is in North Carolina, where I recently went for work. With some poor planning on my part, I was wearing a long sleeve shirt on a day that was headed over 90 degrees. First 90+ day for me. Ooops. I was headed to the McD's to meet a couple people. When I arrived the doors were propped open. Uh oooh. Sure enough, the air conditioning was on the blitz. Blah. But I had no choice - people were headed there to meet me so I had to go in. One step inside and squish squish squish. Ahhhh...their soda fountain had sprung a leak and had covered most of the front of the store. Nothing like squishy sticky pop on the floor - infused with extreme humidity and that 90 degree heat. Baaaaaahhhhh!!!!! Did I mention my long sleeve shirt? Oh, and with the leaky soda fountains there were no drinks available from the fountain. Insert evil laugh heard overhead here. Somewhat disoriented by the dominating sticky smelly Orange Drink that was both underfoot and in the air I heard the gentle words from a cashier, "Welcome to McDonalds. Can I help you?" Really, I was stunned at his effort to sound happy. It was amazing how he tried to make his attitude overcome Agent Orange. I was thrown off completely by him. Remarkably, this place served bottled water. Yes, please. My people arrived and we got through it. Too quick, but what needed to get done got done. Out the door I went, glad to be out of the Orange Sauna and looking to jack up the AC in my car as quickly as possible. The place wasn't crowded, but steady, yet, the ice cream machine was down, the iced mocha machine was down, no sweet tea on the drink bar, was out of straws, had no small fry bags for the fries, so they put them inside small cups instead... the food was fresh, but the place was slack in a lot of ways. read more

This McDonald's is the worst I've ever encountered. It doesn't matter when I choose to go, something will be wrong. Either my order will be made wrong, or they won't have what I came for, will only accept cash only, have no ice cream(not just late at night either), you name it, & I've been through it here. I tried to make it my usual breakfast spot but they kept making my food incorrectly, and then the manager copped a serious attitude when I brought it to her attention. I've made it a point to quit coming here altogether, and still when I happen to swing through only once in a blue moon, I run into one of the problems I discussed earlier. Every night around 10pm this entire location is down for an hour. The only indicator is on the speaker saying "Not taking orders right now waiting for 3rd shift to come in". So just completely dead for an hour? Inside always closes super early. Have watched 10+ people pull up and leave since no one is here. I understand that they may be low staffed or something but please make it more obvious what times you aren't gonna be taking orders, because it's a guess at this point. Almost every interaction inside ends up with being blatantly ignored at the counter, I stood in front of the register for a few minutes as the person at the register took 4+ drive thru orders, look me in the eyes then walk away not telling anyone I needed help with anything. Almost always flat soda or just no soda, no ice a lot. If you need anything extra or you are missing anything, waiting at the counter ends up with you begging for someone after 5 minutes of being ignored. read more

This is the worst McDonald's I have ever ate at! The food takes forever to recieve and I order ice coffee it's so sweet it taste like syrup. I can specially as for a certain amount of cream and sugar and they will make it much sweeter. The only reason I stop by this McDonald's is because I go to school right across the street. I don't expect much in the way of service from fast food but this place has consistently provided bad service, the employees are not knowledgeable and they are rude. This morning the person in the drive though told me I can't do more than two orders via the drive thru, that I'd have to come in. Well if I had time to come in and place an order I wouldn't be in the drive thru. I've never herd this rule before and think they did it because they were busy and trying to clear the line. I went across the street to Burger King, placed my 3 breakfast orders, received friendly service and went on my merry way.
