food is sloppy and you're not guaranteed to get extra toppings or something left off if you ask. they don't have public restrooms as they make clear with signs on every surface making you feel extremely unwelcome. the restrooms are locked so you have to be buzzed in at the register. it feels like first grade where you have to ask the teacher to use the restroom except you are an adult and should be trusted to use the facilities respectfully. overall this left me with a sick taste in my mouth. stores with this atmosphere are awful and really make me want to shop literally anywhere else. hell, i'd rather skip a meal than support this place again. wish i could give 0 stars read more

Until 02/13, this unit was poorly run, poorly managed, and even 1 star was being kind, as were the other reviews. Since the change of ownership, I have experienced GREAT service, both in the drive-thru and inside. - Fast service - Accurate delivery of food. - Friendly, courteous staff,...now. Interior is clean. It was very busy, an employee leaned over the side of the order counter for at least 20 minutes looking at how busy it was while being IN UNIFORM (I have shared a picture on the Yelp page here) I don't care what business and I don't care if you're shift hasn't started, if you're in uniform and blatantly lean there you are showing disrespect to your fellow employees and that you don't want to help them and you are not caring enough about your position to be out of sight. This communicates to customers (clearly) that you don't care. If you aren't actually working, don't be in view and don't be in uniform. It's just as bad that the manager didn't correct him as well. This employee did not have a name tag on either (nor did the lady who took my order on the center register) or I would've took his name down but note that he had some kind of a jacket on and went behind the counter and put it down and CAME BACK OUT TO LEAN ON THE SIDE HERE. As a former salary manager for McDonalds Corp, I think I can weigh in on this. This is, without a doubt, one of the most poorly-run McD restaurants in the area. It is a hard thing for me to say, because i still look back at my years as a manager as a postive step in my career. Management is everything, and I will tell you that Corporate stores put many franchises to shame. The crew here are often rude, and even petulantly unresponsive. They lack drive and they especially lack real leadership. For me, most of the issues this restaurant has are staff-based. To be fair, this is a downtobn location, so you will have all kinds of customers, many not very wonderful. And, yes, the infamous RTA hub is just a couple of blocks away. This does not mean that you lower your standards to Dayton's lowest common denominators (hookers. drug addicts and addict -blood donors). This isn't a place where you see the good Catholic kids from nearby Chaminade Julienne hanging out... There are plenty of people looking for jobs. Hire the ones who want to work. Fire the rest and stop fraternizing with the crew. Almost all of the downtown Dayton fast food restaurants have serious manager-crew fraternization issues. People are often hired because of their relationships, not because of their skill or desire: this explains the lack of racial diversity at many of these locations. This particluar location is highly visible and should be a show restaurant. Corporate offices need to take a good look at local franchises. read more

I went to the drive thru for a quick break. They were not busy. I ordered a simple QP with cheese and coke zero. It was completely inedible! It had apparently sat around so long the bread had hardened and the meat was positively tepid!! I called and spoke to the department manager who tried to convince me that they had improved over the last 7 months. They don't have a GM and they are struggling. Not the customer's issue folks! this is yelp ! what am i doing reviewing a McDonalds. yelp is for unique restaurants and places you wouldn't normally think of well, because this one is so subpar, I'd never ever stop there, after so many bad experiences its always something wrong with this location. The credit card machine is down Long Lines ( its always busy) Out of milkshake, ice cream, and frappes ( all on the same hot day) Fries that are never cooked Rude Service Its a franchise, not a company based store but the quality here is pretty much lower then every other McDonalds you could go to. The thing that annoyed me the most was the complete lack of attention to the usual things that come with a meal. When I went through the drive through, it took a while for the cashier to take my order even though there was no one in front of me. When she finally took my order, there would be long pauses (30 seconds or so) between when I would say something and when she would respond. I figured that she must be a new crew member, so I didn't think too much of it, but when I got to the window to pay, she was on her phone! She must have put me on hold while she kept up with her correspondence. When i finally got to the next window, the cashier was making herself coffee and eating chicken nuggets, which seemed unprofessional, especially while I was waiting for a simple order for more than five minutes. I don't have high hopes for fast food, but I do expect that the workers will be more concerned about their customers than their own personal lives while on the job. read more
