Yeah, you have to be careful of the sorta confusing entrance and exit of the lot, but you're supposed to read signs anyways. But, this 5 star review is based upon customer service alone. I had a coupon for a McCafe item (B1G1 free). I wasn't aware that it wasn't for this location until I went to give them the coupon.. when I asked if they could void out the order, she said she would honor and give me the free item. Get the quarter pounder* or the double quarter pounder* "if you have to have Mac Donald's at this location" as you cannot mess that up. *These are the only items in the menu that are made fresh at any Mac Donald's. On the other hand, DO NOT ask for the chicken nuggets or fries, especially dinner time around 7:30PM. You will get nuggets that look like they were microwaved for about 20 minutes. Really this review isn't about this particular McDonald's but McDonald's as a whole. However, the one thing I can say about this location is the fries are never hot and I almost always have to take them back. My review is on the new Hack Menu. I ordered the Surf n' Turf which is a Double Cheeseburger and a Fish Filet combined. It's shown (from bottom up) as a bun, cheeseburger, fish filet, cheeseburger and topped with a bun. Not sure which condiments go on it but that's the basics. What I got was a Double Cheeseburger and a Fish Filet separate and apart. I then had to assemble the sandwich myself which was quite messy since your dealing with ketchup, onions, pickles and tarter sauce. Your also wasting an entire bun. Not sure how it's supposed to be served but if you show it as a complete sandwich, per-assembled in your ads and on the menu-board then it should be served that way. I'm sure the people who originated the hack may have assembled it themselves but now that it's on the menu it should come assembled. Other than sandwich assembly the meal was good and all the condiments melded together nicely. Lastly, it may be McDonald's policy or vision to serve this item pre-assembled but this McDonald's isn't following protocol. I won't be sure until I order it elsewhere. read more

11/21/21 Waited 20 mins in mobile parking for a simple order - burger and fries. Got in drive thru line and waited another 10 mins to get to 2nd window. Called 3x's while in line and no one picks up. Tried talking to girl at the 2nd window but doesn't speak any English other than saying "I don't speak English". The manager walks up and says they gave me my order already!!! They certainly did not give it to me and no one parked next to me in other mobile spot. Still counting down the days until my son no longer wants to eat McDonald's chicken nuggets. As I've said in my other Mickey D reviews, the McDonald's of today is nothing like the McDonald's I remember as a kid. While I don't doubt that the food quality is, and always has been, atrocious and unhealthy, there was a time when you would at least enjoy the junk you were eating. Not anymore. Now it's just as unsatisfying as it is unhealthy. No wonder their sales are tanking as fresher and better quality fast food options emerge. This McDonald's location is the same one I used to go to as a little boy. It was a rarity among McDonald's in that it didn't have a drive thru. Because it sits on a fairly small parcel of land, the original location chose to maximize its interior space. It was here that I attended many birthday parties in the private party room, which was adjacent to one of the best indoor playgrounds McDonald's ever had. The playground was fully glassed in so that parents eating in the main dining room could still see their kids playing, but didn't have to be on top of them the whole time. And it was a real playground, with real playground rides -- not these ridiculous three-story habitrails that kids get lost in and have to be rescued from. I can also remember this location always being packed with happy families enjoying hot burgers and fries. Those days are long gone, as is the private party room and indoor playground. The current location now has the requisite drive thru, which is where the staff focus all their effort. God forbid you find yourself at this location wanting to dine in. There is never more than one register open, and the line moves at a snail's pace. It's so slow that you get a number and have to go sit down and wait for it to be called. Don't be fooled into thinking they're using this extra time to cook your meal to order. Ha! It just takes them forever to assemble anything here. Slow service, crappy food, dirty tables (one booth's upholstery was literally slashed wide open from a knife cut), and lots of unhappy-looking souls sitting about. Why so many people still choose to patronize this chain is beyond me. (That includes me.) I'm not a guy who's too good to eat fast food from time to time. I can still enjoy the occasional slider at White Castle, a MexiMelt at Taco Bell, or a Croissan'wich at Burger King. But McDonald's just blows. Sorry to be so blunt, but there's no other way to put it. Hopefully corporate reads these reviews so they know how badly they've squandered a once dominant brand. read more

The worst was when we ordered two Apple pies and two plain Sunday's (that is ALL!) and waited 15 minutes before finally asking about it only to find out that they forgot our order. Seriously? I will not come back again. I don't drive so my brother and who work at a supermarket has a bad day and thought we'd treat ourselves to McDs and took an Uber. We live down the street so we went inside to order. This is Sat. April 18. There was one man in there and another woman standing off,to,the side. Right away we were getting yelled at to,back,off. 6 ft. The woman I guess a supervisor was waving her hands hysterically telling us "you..stand over there, you move over more etc.," I felt like I was back in Grammar school (stand straight. Eyes front) they has a glass partition, but still 6 ft and has to yell our orders., the gentlemen asked if he can come forward to pay. Everyone has a mask on, and cashier has gloves as well as I. We had to put our money on counter and step away. We were wearing gloves!! I was stressed at work and come here and got more stressed. My brother said he will not come back. They even had a sign that said " it is the law to wear mask AND GLOVES. THE LAW SAID NOTHING ABOUT GLOVES!! FIVE GUYS on 18, East Brunswick. You have to wear a mask, but their was no harassment. these have to be the dumbest people in East Brunswick, NJ. They get the order wrong 8 out of 10 times. I have a SEVERE dairy allergy and cannot have cheese. I ask for a hamburger and get a cheeseburger almost every time. Tonight I ordered a double hamburger no pickles and a large coke no ice. When I arrived at the window the girl handed me a bag and said to me, cheeseburger and small fries, I said no, she looked bewildered. I repeated double hamburger no pickles and large coke no ice. Next, she handed me a coke filled with ice. I don't pay for ice, so I handed it back and repeated large coke no ice again. She gave me a new coke and handed me a bag and said to me, double hamburger, no onions. REALLY? How hard is this, double hamburger, no pickles? I repeated to her AGAIN! Double hamburger no pickles. She went back again and brought the bag and I asked her if it was a double hamburger with no pickles. She said yes. I pulled around to the other side to check because they are intolerably stupid and I checked. God help me. It was a double cheeseburger with extra cheese. I went back and opened it up and dropped it on the counter in front of the manager who barely speaks English. She just stared at me and I asked are you looking at me because you just want to give me my money back and she replied fine and went to the register. She is a real problem. Unbelievable experience. Went there on 6/18/18 at noon and they only had one cashier on duty. After waiting almost 1/2 hour on line, I ordered just a cup of coffee and an apple pie. I then had to wait another 10-15 minutes for the order to be assembled. I tried to complain to the manager, but he kept pretending not to see or hear me and the other enraged customers trying to speak with him.
