In spite of the numerous fast food options within a few blocks, this McDonald's is always busy. They have the 2-lane drive through, which I use almost every time I come here, and the line moves remarkably fast; for example, four cars total waiting ahead of me to order, three more in the pick up line, and I was at the window paying in under five minutes. Once I decided to park and walk in, there are 2 order stands BUT, they were unmanned! I could see a lot of workers involved with the Drive-through window but no one assigned to wait on walk in customers. There were other people waiting too so I raised my best New York voice to call out 'Hello! Customers waiting!' and someone showed up. Disclaimer- I only go here for the occasional fish sandwich. Many times you have to park and wait a few minutes to receive that particular item but it's worth it as they are nice and fresh. I will say that they almost always put napkins in the takeout bag. My order has been n wrong each time I order from here. There's always a wait, whether it's drive thru, mobile pick up, inside. One of the things that this McDonald's doesn't do that all McDonald's I've been to in the past is put napkins in the drive thru bags. I can see if a customer is inside and can grab their own napkins, but drive thru customers cannot. It is irritating when you're eating on the go and don't have any napkins. Door dashed because I was sick. Ordered a large fry, 2 ten piece nuggets because it was buy 1 get 1 on the site, and a frappe. Order comes in, I open the bag, and one of the boxes of nuggets isn't there. Now I'm sick and upset because that was the whole point of me choosing McDonald's for food. Food is a 2 star for almost always being cold-especially their chicken nuggets. They often slop whatever you get together and should put at least a little more effort into it. I will say I do enjoy their strawberry milkshakes when they put enough strawberry flavor into it.. and I do enjoy their strawberry smoothie-but I think both are pricey for what they are. Service is a 1 star for not being consistent and sometimes being rude.. for example the screen says to grab a table tent and someone will bring it to you (on the inside touch order screen), but then they leave the food to sit at the counter getting cold while I'm at the table as indicated to do on the screen while nobody brings it to me and instead shouts out numbers-which you can't hear unless you stay at the counter. **Other times I've been here and they've brought the food to me. So I guess it depends if you get someone doing their job or someone wanting to just be lazy and not do their job. Play Place is 4 star because it's decent-but could definitely be bigger! There are no other indoor play places in Eaton that I know of so there's not many other options unless you go out of town. Rewards program is a 4 star because points do add up to get free items in a decent amount of time- and deals/coupons on the rewards app usually are decent as well. However, with food being mediocre to poor it's not too big of a reward. My daughter does like the Happy Meals and the Play place though-so that's why I continue to go! I like to see her happy and her friend likes to meet us there when it's cold outside for a place to play. They need to continue with the good Happy Meal toys though.. and not switch to biodegradable paper toys. I don't know what's going on-but the last few months have been repeat toys from prior months-and not the advertised toy! I brought it up to a girl at the window one day when I got my daughter a Happy Meal and asked her if she could get a different one since she already had that one... she actually had the audacity to tell me ina very rude/condescending tone they were not a store and she didn't even know if she was allowed to do that. I literally just got the toy and it was still in the packaging.. the only other toy was another toy from a prior month that my daughter also had. Ridiculous.. I asked to speak to her Manager regarding her tone- the manager didn't seem to really care how her worker talked to me. Meanwhile the worker is just laughing in the background. I don't love McDonald's but it's consistent across the country. You know what you're getting before you enter any location, correct? This store needs to start fresh. They have a newer building and a lazy group of employees. It looked as though the place had not been cleaned all day. There were fries and sandwich ingredients on the floor. Yes, it was between 4 and 7 p.m. but that's no excuse for that kind of a mess. The front counter needed to be cleaned, as well, and even as the person was waiting on orders to be finished, he was not cleaning. The manager seemed to be doing work the employees should have been doing, saying nothing about the problems in the store, all around her. The alarms for the fryers or whatever else would continue for minutes, which is probably why my fries looked overcooked and soggy. They ran out of shredded lettuce, so they put what little they had on my Filet O' Fish and gave it to me. The back-up person had to ask for a tray since one wasn't provided as soon as the counter person took my order, although I'll give him a point for giving me a cup for my drink. (Oh, and when I went to refill my cup, there was a huge spill on the floor in front of the tea dispenser.) The food was not good, and the service was some of the worst I've seen. I guess the only reason to go there is if you want free WiFi, which is why the only other person not in the playground was sitting with her computer, I'm guessing. Unfortunately this is my hometown McDonalds. The pictures are pretty typical of a visit here so I finally decided to do a review. The drink station was a mess, floors had not been swept and were a mess. There were at least 5 tables that had French fries from past guest on them. Our visit was around 2pm so the lunch rush was over and there were plenty of employees in the back so not real sure why they didn't have anyone out cleaning up the dinning room area. read more

But this McD's in Eaton has stooped to levels so low in customer service and food quality, I think it sets a new record in 'dissatisfaction'. It's that bad. When Mc's went through a recent renovation, as most are doing, they took it upon themselves to throw out the manual on food prep, customer service and quality. Ever heard of 'service with a scowl'? You get that here, and at no extra cost. This store has reached a point where there is almost no turning back. No one should ever have to wait more than 15 minutes for a cup of coffee. So I went to this mcdonald's and ordered two coffees with cream and sugar, two iced coffees and a bacon egg and cheese bagel. The two coffees didn't have cream or sugar already in them, they gave me sugar packets and cups of creamer unlike other Mcdonald's locations who mix it into the coffee. The iced coffees were pretty good. But the bagel on my sandwich was cold and hard as a rock, it was like it was straight out of the freezer I then had to reheat it in the oven when I got home. read more

I stopped and ran in to grab an iced tea and take a restroom break. It was really very surprising...restroom wasn't noticeably dirty (usually the first tell tale sign of a filthy restaurant) but everything else was. The card reading machine had gunk on it, and was greasy and grimy...I did not want to use it. Floors were slippery and littered with French fries and food particles. The top of the ice tea containers were disgusting...like they had not been cleaned in ages.
