I was driving back to Grand Rapids from Ann Arbor recently and realized I was pretty hungry. This McDonald's is close to the highway so I stopped by for a quick order. I went inside to use their kiosk and I got my food quickly. My food was hot and fresh, which is honestly like an automatic 4 stars from me. The employee who gave me my food was pleasant and had a good sense of humor. The Diet Coke was not the best (a little flat), but everything else was a solid 4 stars. read more

The restaurant is still dirty and the drive through has become even slower. To make matters worse, the staff in the drive through have become even more rude and discourteous. There are still some wonderful employees, but the bad ones are getting worse. You are more likely to be told to pull forward and we will bring you your meal than to hear "please" or "thank you". Another failure of the drive through is they won't bring you meal when it is ready... they will wait until they have several orders and then come out with all of them. This means the first meal is already cooling off before they ever step out. I don't understand how they are unable to run an efficient and friendly business properly. read more

The food was fine. The people through the pick up food window are unbelievable. I've been there several times now and always wish them well like saying have a good day, anyways, I've always just gotten either a blank stare with nothing said or quickly turned around on. Today I went through the drive-through and they finally asked me if I got what I had ordered and I said yes I then got my food. Wish them a good day and they didn't say anything back yet turned around and sighed loudly. This is just unbelievably and incredibly disrespectful. I mean, it's McDonald's. They'd have to do something superb to get a higher rating. I come by here every couple of weeks for breakfast. I get a coke and you can't go wrong. Food is hot or (mostly) miss. My usual is sausage muffin no egg and hashbrown. 99% of the time the hashbrown is soggy and super greasy. Tastes ok though! I do wish they'd cook the sandwich longer. Well it is McDonalds so i'm not sure what i expected... I haven't had McDonald's in a long time, and I was fiending a Big Mac,I I figured it's been so long. It has to be good!!!! well as soon as I looked at it, it was all messed up!!! the burgers were on one side of the bun the cheese, and the pickles, and everything else was on another side of the bun falling off, it was a complete mess!! I paid for a large fry, waited 5 minutes before I tried to talk with someone but never got the chance. In all there were 5 employees working. Dropping food, a milkshake, trying to fix a machine and cleaning up. During this s**t show the cook yelled out for a Coke Zero - which he got right off. There were fries in the bin and fries were burning in the fryer. I've never seen such a complete mess of clueless employees running into each other and dropping s**t everywhere! I can only assume management has not trained these people - and/or maybe they just do not care? Either way - I left without my fries - something I've never done before, but after seeing that hot mess, I am not sure I wanted anything from that group of people. read more

This place is actually HORRIBLE. This time I'd like to talk about the choice of employees, I had placed a mobile order (double cheeseburger, large fry, medium coke, and large coke) pulled up to the speaker, lady didn't even greet us, just said "what can I get you" in a rude tone.. whatever... I tell her my mobile order.. she instantly tells me "pull forward" also in a rude tone.... I kindly asked her if she could make sure my fries were fresh.. (considering the fact every single time I go to that McDonald's my fries are hard and COLD) then it was silent.... I work at a fast food restaurant very very similar to McDonald's (not saying the name) and you can hear what the people say through the speaker UNTIL they drive off, even when your not talking to them... so she was ignoring me... I wait at the speaker a few seconds and she says again "pull forward" in a rude tone. We pull forward and the window flew open, an old lady very aggressively handed us a sprite that we didn't order and tried to close the window before we could tell her it wasn't ours... but we were able to tell her and she slammed the door..I COULD SEE SHE WAS CUSSING US OUT THROUGH THE WINDOW.... She carried over a coffee cup and poured what ever liquid that was in there INTO OUR CUP! She didn't even use the soda machine that I could see from the window... then she pulls out a medium coke from lord knows where and didn't even put ice in them (photo below shows how lovely of a job she did with the drink) who the hell pours coke from a coffee cup, it was probably an employees freaking drink, I ended up throwing away both drinks and wasted my money on both. Who the hell does that... I work at fast food and I'd never treat anyone like that! Then she handed us our food and SLAMS THE WINDOW AGAIN! No "have a nice day" or anything... and to top it all off my fries were colder then ice... AFTER I ASKED IF THEY COULD BE FRESH. These are the type of people who don't deserve a job that requires communication. Not to mention I was nice the whole time I was in that drive through... I did nothing to deserve being cussed out. But will go ahead and press the buttons on their headset initiating the automatic responses letting the customer assume that they are open. But in reality they are closed. I've waited since pre Covid times for a bacon egg and cheese bagel. Got my first one here and it was extremely underwhelming. $5 for a sandwich and I got HALF a piece of bacon on it. Not to mention my large iced coffee had 5 sips of coffee in it and the rest was ice, literally 5. Tried getting a Shamrock shake during March, every single time the machine was broke. Nothing new, however after pulling up to the second window I saw the manager being very rude to a younger employee of student age. Yelling at him asking "what should you be doing right now" and being very short. He looked as if he was afraid to do anything because he would get in trouble. Sunday July 15, 2018 about 5:30 pm. Stopped in on our way home from up north. Only ordered coffee. I waited and waited and waited and waited. There were two full pots of coffee right behind the cashier... yet I waited (!!!!) ....for a cup of coffee. NO FOOD-JUST COFFEE!. ...there were food orders ahead of me but they weren't slammed. But seriously, doesn't anyone ever look at the queue screen and say, "Oh this guy just wants a coffee....maybe I can get that for him rather than have him wait behind 10 customers in line with food orders." Terrible! The dining room is closed so they only have the drive-through to handle. They couldn't even do that. I ordered a Quarter Pounder with cheese, small fries, and a small Diet Coke. Two cars were in front of me. I never expected the wait. I was told to follow the yellow arrows and wait at the end. On the path I passed 2 people standing near the doors trying to get their orders corrected. I couldn't follow instructions and go to the end of the yellow arrow path because they're were 3 cars already waiting. I waited. And waited. The car behind me got his order. One Carr in front. Finally I was first in line. A surly, masked worker stood about 10ft from my car and, apparently recited the order. I could not hear her. She was NOT happy to have to come closer but she did and shouted the order. I thought, given her reluctance to come close while talking, that she might just fling the bag through the window. She did manage to stretch far enough to hand my drink and the bag to me. Inside was a cold, soggy order of fries. Also in the bag was a barely lukewarm burger. No straw, no napkins, and none of the requested ketchup. I had an appointment so i couldn't waste any more time. Besides, people who had been trying to get their orders right when I got there were still waiting. Do yourself a favor. There is McDonald's one exit further no matter if you're going east or west on the freeway. Try one of those. read more

Great coffee. Bacon ranch salad delicious and healthy. New chicken tenders are scrumptious. Grilled chicken sandwich tasty.

Not too bad of a wait time for your food. Prices seem higher then many other McDonald's but can not confirm this.

I spent four hours stranded in this McDonald's along with about a hundred other drivers who'd sought refugee after an SUV overturned on I-96 and the state police shut down both sides of the freeway. The staff were super accommodating and stayed open past 11, which is when they were supposed to close. It's McDonald's so there's not much I can say about the food. Service was excellent. They gave me extra whipped cream and chocolate sauce on my shake and I wasn't charged for a hot mustard sauce for my fries. Bathroom was clean (and they cleaned it every 30 minutes while the hoards were there). There is free wifi, like all McDonald's restaurants in the US. There are six outlets throughout the dining area. They have two of those high cafe style tables, one outlet is behind the one which is closest to the middle of the room. The other outlets are all at booths except one which is in the northwest corner behind the last booth. Overall a great McDonald's experience! read more

(sigh) I travel from Ypsilanti to Lansing and back frequently, and whenever I'm hungry during these times I pull over at a random place and get drive through food. I dunno about this place - my order seemed to go in OK at the speaker, and then I paid with no problems...pulled up to the second window to be told that one of the items I just purchased was going to be 5-6 minutes wait time, I was in kind of a hurry, but they had already locked me into the order by not telling me there was a wait before I finished ordering and paid. Truth be told, 6 minutes isn't that much time to wait for a burger or whatever, so I pulled up like I was asked to and sat there and waited. I proceeded to wait for about 20 minutes before they came out and brought me my food. Half my order was room temp. Extra items were added as apology for my inconvenience - but what this incident did was delay me unnecessarily from an emergency. I was coming to the aid of a sick friend and needed sustenance while I was en-route. I was irritated about this, but decided it was a no-harm-no-foul situation and went about my evening. Then I started eating the food. The chicken strips were completely rock hard and dried out, like they had already been cooked, and then dropped in grease a second time or I guess sitting under a heat lamp could also cause that. I waited 20 minutes for these (the reason I was told my order was taking so long). I also got 2 single cheeseburgers with bacon and pickles added. I have always been under the impression that if you special order your burger they have to make a new one from scratch. I'm fairly certain I got 2 burgers that had been sitting under heat lamps for hours - the corners of the cheese were hard, dried out and dark orange. It is because of the quality of the food that I am writing this review. Their communication about wait time is also, as I mentioned above, kinda shady. Drive the extra 4 miles if it makes sense to the Howell exit, where you will find multiple reasonably priced McDonald's, including one right off the free way.
