This is definitely a suitable name for this place. It's not far from my FIL. Not a lot around the rural area near my FIL though. My FIL enjoys their Olden Day's Favorite with the 2 eggs, bacon, potatoes and biscuit, my husband always gets their farmer's omelet, covered in their sausage gravy. I would usually get their old fashioned oatmeal and a side of raisin toast with side of cream cheese. Service is always good. It is comfort food fare. read more

I don't know what's happening but this place used to be decent. The staff was nice and attendant but recently going there's been new staff who don't really know what they are doing. The last two times we've gone our food has been wrong or done incorrectly. Burgers raw or just given the wrong food that we didn't order. They staff I will say does try to take care of the issues. We found ourselves with a little extra time to kill and we were hungry, so Olden Days Cafe it was! Located in downtown Fowlerville, it's not too far from the freeway if you are passing through. I got the mini breakfast with biscuits and my hubby got a breakfast scrambler. For as quiet as they were, it felt like our food took forever, but probably no more than fifteen minutes. I also got a hot cocoa and it was LOADED with whipped cream. So good! The breakfast was just the right size and the biscuits were amazing. My hubby's scrambler had chorizo so it had a little kick to it. This place used to be cash only, but they now take cards with an additional fee. read more

I'm sorry to report this because I love a good mom & pop place! It's either hit or a big miss now for this restaurant. The AUCE fish dinner (not cod) is just that...fishy. We've eaten here often & the cod dinner is delicious, just be sure of what you order! The side salad was a small handful of lettuce, thin slice of tomato & red onion, I should have had coleslaw? The cocktail sauce was apparently very old or had been frozen & I couldn't even dip my shrimp into it. All in all it was a very expensive dinner for the quality. read more

First experience there the cook and owner walked to our table and accused us of walking out on a bill 2 weeks prior. First time in this restaurant and the last, owner made a scene in the middle of the restaurant. Got the food after 54 minutes of waiting for a club sandwich, then boxed it up paid and left. I will never step foot in this restaurant and will never recommend it to a friend or anyone in that matter. My friends sister started to break out into hives because of the "cleanliness" of the restaurant. Ask for water to make her feel better and did not receive it till we left. My favorite local breakfast spot. Most everything is made from scratch. Stop in for breakfast/brunch, you won't be disappointed.

Food was average, and service was good. Bathrooms were not very good. Staff was nice.

The food here is good every time we go. The scrambler platers are amazing and it's enough food for two people to split so it's also cheap. I got a cinnamon roll for the first time and no exaggeration it's the size of a to go box. I would have given them 5 stars but I think the coffee is not very good and they don't take credit cards. read more

Was in Fowlerville for Christmas in the Ville. We popped into this hole in the wall place. It was busy busy busy, however they got us (5 plus) seated with minimal (under 5 minutes) wait. The wait for food was negligible. When the food came everything was delicious. You gotta try the burger(s)! The help was extremely polite, personable and nice. The prices were and are reasonable! The only regret is they sold out of the souvenir glasses. And a special shout out to whoever put the candy sprinkles on my nephews hot cocoa, you made his night! I like Mountain Days. Sometimes they have trouble with their telephone machine, but sometimes they do not. I like to get the meat omelette, and they always want to give me plastic forks and knives but I tell them that I have my own ones made out of metal at the house. I also get the half order of biscuits and gravy. I like Mountain Days. The let me buy the Cherry Coke sometimes, and they accept credit cards for a nominal fee.
