The worse experience I've dealt with. Been living in glenwood my whole life and by far this is the worse experience I had. I first ordered 2 happy meals for me and my daughter, moments later my daughter didn't want the chicken nuggets but a hamburger so I went back up to the kiosk and ordered a single hamburger for her. I waited 20 minutes before I decided to go up after seeing everyone else who ordered after me get their food. When I asked where my order they asked me what exactly did I order and I said it was a hamburger for $2.77 and I ordered it 20 minutes ago. The person I was talking to just got the nastiest look on her face and said that she can't find my order after I repeated that I ordered it off the kiosk you should be able to find it. read more

This place has always been terrible but I am absolutely appalled by the service I received. I went through the drive though and noticed the car in front of me handing back a bag of food, it had clearly been gone through and had not been their order. I then pulled up to the window and was given the same bag of food that had been in another persons car. The old bag had been shoved into a newer bag so I could not initially see the problem at hand. The window was quickly closed and I was unable to address the issue. I am disgusted that an employee felt it was acceptable to hand me a bag of food that had been in another persons car and had been dug through. I typically drive through for just iced tea. Very occasionally I have an apple pie. Service is consistent. Food is typical McDonald fare.

Waited 30 minutes plus in the drive through mid day for a hamburger, came back later and they only gave me 9 nuggets in my 10 piece. Jackie is cool tho give her a raise. read more

This place is dogshit. Waiting in line for 15 minutes for a bratty high schooler to come up and tell me the line is closed, and then they conveniently fuck up my entire order. This is my first ever Yelp review. I just have to say something. Service is fast and employees at the drive-through are friendly. Unfortunately, when our orders have been wrong this establishment is not quick to right those wrongs. I'm giving 1 star because this isn't the first time my family has had similar experiences with this McDonald's. This morning I drove through and ordered a few breakfast items, including a sausage biscuit with egg (note that if you look up the ingredients of this sandwich, there is no cheese). This was a good ten or fifteen minutes before 10:30 since they close out breakfast orders at that time. I checked my bag before leaving to be sure they'd given me the correct order, and the wrapper confirmed it. Or so I thought. Once I got home, I discovered they'd added cheese (it's gooey and melted into the other ingredients, so scraping it off isn't the best or easiest option. The person the sandwich was for does not eat processed cheese). We called and the woman on the phone said we could return the sandwich for the right one, but not till tomorrow. He was hungry now, so that was a total disappointment. Their reason? Unfortunately, they're no longer serving breakfast. Never mind that we're the customers, paid for our breakfast, and never asked for cheese. Never mind that they still have all the ingredients and could quickly make the right sandwich for us this morning. (The woman blamed corporate, which is what they always do. Not their fault, nope. It's corporate. So okay: Corporate, are you listening? If this is truly your policy, no exceptions, it's ridiculous, and it's costing you your once-loyal customers.) The sad thing is this town has so few options when it comes to fast food. We've given them our business for the past decade, and rather than getting any better they've progressively gone downhill. By far the worst experience dealing with food I've had in the last decade. When you choose McDonald's you know your sacrificing quality for a fast bite, but the employees at this store don't even try to make an effort. The cashier showed zero effort to be pleasant, another employee hastily threw my food into a bag with no regard. The bag was pushed at me less than a minute after placing my order. The food was obviously waste from earlier in the day. Everything was cold and stale. I suggest the owner saving his business by firing these employees promptly. To future customers, make sure you choose a different location to help force this place to close. There is no reason to deliberately sabotage somebodies day when your job is so blatantly simple. Food hold times are part of your job! I will be contacting corporate and a health inspector immediately. read more

I'm giving this store a 4, because my fries were cold. I got my lunch in a snowstorm at a weird time of day. The staff was friendly and fast. It's fast food, so....It's fine. BUT,Yelp ratings are worthless. They leave old ratings up, usually the worst ones , note the rating dates for the top reviews. They also disregard ratings from folks that don't rant a bad rating everywhere they go. They're considered "unreliable". If I could rate Yelp, which I can't, they'd get a 1. read more

Opened my bag to one sandwich and 2 fries with no sauce. Called to express my incorrect order and the person on the phone said there was nothing they could do about it since they closed for the night. Not a good McDonald's by any means. The fries don't tsar like the other stores. Every time I go they mess up my order, or forget to give me all of the food I ordered. And when I politely mention it the employees get mad at me. I'm tired of this, that's why I'm reviewing this store everywhere. Once sending this to McDonalds I received a call from the franchise owner. He was concerned and wanted to talk about what he can and is doing to fix these problems. I recently just visted this mcdonalds again after previously ordering chicken nuggets as they are cheap and easy to eat. And biting into one to find it raw and not cooked. So today i figured id give it another shot and ordered a Mushroom swiss burger. Just to open it when i got home to find a nice long black hair in the middle of my sandwhich. Possibly the poorest example of a McDonalds. The one and only positive it has going for it. Would be the fact it offers jobs to a community that doesn't have a great number to offer. The food is ok at best. Undercooked fries, dried out buns, burnt bagels, etc. Incorrect orders are routine. Expect some type of machine not to be working properly and out of service. Most likely the ice cream or coffee. If you dine in well get ready to be stunned by the attire of all personal on duty. If you would like to speak to a manager on duty? One or more can usually be found smoking and socializing next to the Redbox machine. Located outside of the gas station adjoining the restaurant. Please don't take my word for it. Just because this is the only fast (I use the term loosely) food (again used loosely) stop in the town of Glenwood with a drive thru, I have stopped here on many occasions with tired hungry kids. Not sure how hard it is to not put onions on a cheeseburger, but for the crew members here it appears to be rocket science. The one and only time I didn´t have to pull around and wait longer than 6 minutes in the parking lot was when they screwed up my order to the point I went to Caseys to get food everyone could eat. If you really want fast food and are in Glenwood, you should go ahead and drive to Bellevue or Council Bluffs. It may take less time including the drive to get your food, and chances are, you will get what you order. read more
