Spent nearly $70 dollars. Got home and was missing my sandwich. Called and complained and was told I would be put on a list and I had to come back to get it. Went in to collect and was told I wasn't on any list. Asked to speak to the manager and another employee said they were the manager but they weren't. I found this out when I got home and tried to call and complain and get the managers name so I can complain to corporate. Wrote a official complaint and was told I would be sent free food coupons in the mail. Those also never came. This place is a joke and has the worst customer service. I overall try to avoid most restaurants on North Avenue but this McDonald's is pretty high up on that list as to why. The employees are pretty rude when ordering, I was in the drive-through side that was open and three people came through on the other drive-through side and were helped before me. I even spoke into the microphone asking if anyone was there, and I was still ignored. Then when I ordered the woman helping me was very short and snappy with me despite the drive-through being practically empty. I would much rather go out of my way to go to the mall location then come to this one, despite its convenience. During this trip I ordered one item, very easy. I waited in line for almost 20 minutes and when I got to the second window the girl didn't even look at me when handing me my item. Overall this is a very disrespectful location and employees make you feel extremely on unwelcomed. As somebody who used to work in the food service industry, I do not care if you're having a bad day, you need to treat customers visiting your restaurant respectfully, especially if that customer has done absolutely nothing to you. read more

I still eat here quite often because I'm not about to drive 20 min to a different McDonald's. I will say there food is usually okay. However I used to order breakfast here almost every day because it was simple and easy to do for me and my fiancé. I refuse to ever go inside again. Every time I did it was a horrible experience. I would wait forever, the staff was rude, often said my order didn't exist on they're end (despite my bank statements and McDonald's app saying otherwise). They would then tell me they found my order but that I had to use the drive through if I was using the app. Sent me around in circles countless times. I used the app because I thought it would be faster and more convenient to place the order ahead of time and run inside to pick it up rather than waiting in a line! I was wrong! Okay, so it is a McDonald's. Its far from perfect. But my experience with this restaurant is generally good. They have some off days, but not too many. The staff has many long term employees and they are a friendly bunch. By using the app deals and bringing my own beverage and skipping potato products I have been consistently able to buy a breakfast or a lunch of two sandwiches for under $4. I have not found a better bargain in this town. If you want a perfect burger go to a gourmet burger restaurant. You will pay 3 times as much. Tip: If the app seems to struggle due to no internet near the location, shut your phones wifi off. The wifi at the restaurant requires a login. The last breakfast I had there was amazing. I ordered an SME and a McGriddle and both were perfect! The SME looked like the one on the menu board and the only fault I had with it is the egg was a little overdone for my taste, however that is how these kids are instructed to cook it so it did meet the McD standard. The good news is that the egg was clean and non-lacy. Both sandwiches were received in a reasonable amount of time and both were piping hot. There are a couple of problems you will find at this location, but neither are this restaurants fault. #1. It is way too busy. It's right by the college and does an incredible business. They do a good job but there is just some times of the day there will be a bit of a wait, maybe 5-10 minutes. If its lunch rush it could be more. #2. The homeless are a constant. Expect to see some on the sidewalks and perhaps a few in the store itself. It is not this locations fault. If you eat inside you may be panhandled. They are not overly aggressive about it, but it may happen. That reflects more on this fine city and its leadership than the restaurant itself. read more

I've never been one to leave a bad review, but this place is awful. These employees as well as their managers have absolutely no customer service skills. We weren't greeted, and they kept looking back at us. I have plenty of experience in fast food. Even slammed, I still had the courtesy to acknowledge the customer and say "we will be right with you". It's basic customer service. These employees are spending their time chatting with each other instead of doing their jobs. And I'm serious. They took 5 minutes to fill 1 bag because their personal drama is apparently more important. We waited over 20 minutes to place our order, and it's been over 10 minutes of waiting, and we're still currently waiting. They were mopping, but they were mopping salt and fries. We sat in the drive through for around 27 minutes. Typically when we pull up to any McDonalds, they ask for your code, so you can get discounted food. The person here acted like they have never heard of this. They couldn't enter the code, pretended like they were "manually" over riding the system to give us the meal....because that is what the gal said she was doing.... When they gave us our food, half the order was missing, and the half we did get was wrong. Not a big deal. Thank goodness for food and freedom. They have not. The boss guy with the tie comes out, asks for my receipt....I told him "dude, no way. I've been waiting for 27 minutes for my food"..... points out we "didn't order the other food". We assured him that in the 27 minute wait, we certainly did, and it just looks like the person taking our order didn't type it in. The person doing the "magic" on the order machine just hit the "totally done with with this b^&tch customer button" and moved on. Again, not a big deal. Life happens. He does acknowledge that our drink is missing, goes and gets that, and returns with the now printed out receipt to show us we did not pay for this magical deal-code food. We told him we just wanted to leave and how this was not the 1st time we had to wait longer at McDonalds than we do out most sit down restaurants. I really only ever use the drive thru, and it has always been timely. The folks usually working the window are nice, and have yet to mess up an order.
