Received two wrong orders within 1 week. First time they gave me a Big Mac (with everything) when I ordered the 2 cheeseburger meal no pickle and it exploded all over the chicken nuggets I got. I turned around/went back and had to get the order corrected. The second time, they had to come out and tell me they were out of sweet tea, then I asked for a sprite and they were out of that too. Drive to the next McDonald's. There are 2 decent ones in Libertyville, 1 in Gurnee, and another in between. The Grayslake McDonalds is the worst, their rude and incompetent staff will get your order wrong 2/3rds of the time and blame you. Not that your burnt sloppily made order will be identifiable. The fries come in two flavors, cold or soggy. It doesn't matter what drink you order, for the last 5 years they've only served one flavor, "Broken Drink Machine". Every soda is a medley of carbon water with a hint of metal. In the same parking lot, there is an Arby's and a Burger King, you'd probably be better off dumpster diving there. this is by far the worst McDonald's I have ever experienced. Anytime I go there I am bound to have something missing from my order. For example, just got a happy meal and no french fries. Worse Mcdonald's to go to. While in the drive thru, I witness a manager yelling at my brother who works there because she was having a bad day. My brother just got released to go back to work after an accident. His mouth is wired shut due to a broken jaw. This manager was yelling at my brother regarding how he was transporting the tea to the front. When in fact my brother was on light duty and limited talking, so he should not have been lifting the tea in the first place per doctors orders. So I'm trying to get some food to snack on before I get to work and this line is so long idk what the hold up is but once I was next in line to pay at the window, the person in front of me and everyone behind me were waiting 10 minutes for him to pay. He started to become impatient and started to tap at the window which indicated that there was probably NO ONE THERE! Like holy hell people it's a holiday where are u. Over the speaker they said my total was $4.06 when I finally got to the window the cashier, who looked like he was eating, rudely told me my total was $4.02. I corrected him and said "I was told $4.06" he snapped at me saying it was $4.02. I wasn't going to argue I was hungry and all I wanted was my food. So I handed him $4.02 and he GAVE ME ¢96 BACK which means MY TOTAL WAS $4.06. I asked him if I give him the darn 4 cents could I please get a dollar back. He than ROLLS his EYES and GROANS at my simple request. The manager that comes over to see what the problem was and said that my total was $4.06 and made feel like it was my fault to give him the wrong amount and hold the line up. Today (11-23-16) I came in for breakfast at about 10:30 am for a steak and egg bagel meal. The sandwich was both hot and tasty, and my coffee was made precisely as I asked for it. The service was both fast and courteous, and the dining area next to the play area was both bright and clean. What especially impressed me was the attention that I received about 45 minutes later when I came looking for my cellphone, which I believed that inadvertently left behind. Some of the employees working the drive-thru refuse to scan the McDonalds Deal App because they say it's "too hard"! On the App I was trying to use the buy 1 breakfast sandwich get 1 free. It was 10:00am weekday without anyone in line. Since the drive thru guy didn't want to scan my App I had to pay $1.50 for one sandwich instead of 2 for $1.50. I really hate this McDonald's the people that work here are not friendly at all. There is a taller Mexican guy I believe he works there from time to time he is the only one that is nice and professional and helpful. McDonald's Corporation in Oakbrook Illinois I am sure this McDonald's does not live up to the McDonald's customer satisfaction. I come to this McDonald's from time to time and I would think out of one of these times I would get good customer service especially from the store manager I have said hi to him and he ignores me I don't see him doing any kind of work. I do not know why but he ignores me every time I placed an order. I would think as a manager he should greet as many people as he can. But instead he was giving me some attitude for some reason I don't know why. If the store manager can be nice he shouldn't be a manager or work customer service. I see where the employees don't go that extra mile to make the customer happy. The only thing I can say positive about this place is the food and they have never got my order wrong yet. I have work for McDonald's about 40 years ago and we would never treat a customer like I was treated I feel like I had some disease or something. From now on I will go to Burger King around the corner I go to McDonalds because it is well known for good customer service. This McDonald's has lost my business for good I will not go there no more. I noticed the manager kept looking at me through the window I walked toward word the door and I explained to him through the door the sign says 11 p.m. and I was here at 10:46 p.m. The manager look at his watch and saw that I was there before 11 o'clock. He told me the manager on duty the corporate wants them to close the doors at 10:30 p.m. I find this very hard to believe. Why would they post one thing on the door and supposedly to tell an employee to close the doors at 10:30 p.m. it does not make any sense to me. I was very upset for a couple of reasons. One the door was closed earlier then it was supposed to be. And number two the manager on duty told me that corporate wants them to lock the door at 10:30 and not 11 like the door says. Number 3 it is the principle. To me this McDonald's doesn't value their customers when I come here on occasion I watch them in action I would not treat a customer like they treat customers. Today was such an inconvenience I decided since I was upset I went to a different restaurant. I believe that a business should not close their doors early because there could be a customer on their way to that business. When exactly did the convenience of the workers become way way more important than providing great customer service. I think the managers and some of the employees I think this location needs to be better with their customer service. My question to you like it if you traveled a long distance and the business decided to close their doors early I am sure you would be very upset just like I am. All I got to say is a apology goes a long way a apology would have made me feel a little bit better. But I feel the gentleman lied To me and told me that corporate wants them to close their doors a half hour earlier then what the door says.
