The McDonalds franchise has hit a completely new low in this restaurant located at 10 Rt. 22 West in Green Brook, New Jersey. O M G just reading through the horrifying reviews of this place here now just makes me even more angry. The place continually closes 10-15 minutes before posted hours every day much to the chagrin of hungry customers - and more than a few of them !! I rolled through up to the drive thru window at 11:50 PM after a long event just looking for a hamburger, fries and a coke and was told they are "closed." Wierd because the driver in front of me, ordered and was picking up food ? So I drove around again - " closed came back" I said hey - it's not midnight and somehow shamed the "manager" into " whatever they had left." The person explained to me there that they had no fries at all and gave me a list of hamburgers left. When I went to pick up and queried as to why they closed early, I received a litany of excuses from the female "manager:"... 1.) it wasn't her fault, the manager makes her close early because he doesn't want to pay overtime 2.) the fryer and grill take too long to clean and they will be there too long 3.) they don't want to close at 11 pm and stay open too late ... I asked what the owner thought of them closing consistently early ? "Oh Ma. Angela owns it but does not interfere with the operation." Well, if absentee landlord Ms. Angela knew how much business she was losing because of her " managers," perhaps she would take her business investments more seriously...unless she has told them to close early .... Where do all those unsold food items go at the end of the evening ? Maybe home to the bambinos? Just appalling to be honest. I've been here since I was little which probably isn't a good thing but it's quality Mac Donald's. Never had an issue with this establishment except for when I tried to apply for a job. (But that's kinda not related) I have yet to run Into a rude employee and was shocked to see the employee's dressed up for Halloween. Awful customer service and the manager tried to scam us into paying for a mobile order that was already paid for then she cancelled the order. That was the second time the manager appeared incapable of pulling up a mobile order and tried getting us to pay again in cash. BEWARE! Lately I have had better luck with fast food restaurants by ordering through their mobile app before driving to the restaurant. My food is almost always ready when I get to the restaurant and I don't have to worry about long waits or inefficiency in the drive through line. I have had a few inconsistent drive through experiences here. Late at night some of the foods are cold or chewy. I stick to main meal times and order on the mobile app which usually gives me decent deals like a free order of fries or 20 nuggets for $5. Yes they're probably selling my data and fast food consumption habits but there isn't much folks wouldn't do for a free soda and fries in this country! My advice: skip the drive through line and order ahead on the app. Order the common/classic menu items - don't try to be to creative it's McDonalds after all. I have never really had a bad experience with an employee here. They always seem pretty busy but they get the mobile orders out pretty quick and the orders have always been accurate. This location is close to the house and on 22 which makes it the main one we go to. I almost always do the drive-through. If I come at lunch it is usually quick with good service and accurately filled orders. Somehow between lunch and the dinner rush the quality of service bottoms out. I've gotten extra food, missing items, cold food and more during the dinner rush. When I call to complain they always offer to replace the item missing which is the reason for the second star, but who wants to go back out for a McDonald's burger when you're already in a bad mood? I usually don't review McDonald's but they really cleaned up a lot and I felt that they deserved one. They have table service at this location and kiosks for self-service. I came here at 1:30PM on a Sunday. It wasn't busy at all. The seats and tables were clean. There are stools and high table seating. In no way is it like the cafes you find around the cities but it's very modern compared to the traditional appearance of Mcdonalds. It took about three minutes to receive my order. It was brought directly to our table. It was fairly quiet in the eating area. They have all the caps and straws neatly placed next to the soda machine. The soda machine was very modern as well - with an LCD screen. The food tasted great just like what you would expect from McDonald's. The Quarter Pounder and fries I ordered were fresh and were steaming hot. I would definitely come back to this McDonald's. The employees were very friendly as well. They at least didn't appear to not want to work there. A customer went to notify the employee that they were out of ketchups cups and someone immediately went to replenish. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! I have lived in the Greenbrook area for the last five years. This location never seems to get anything right. Every time I've ordered from here, it's been wrong. I'm constantly charged for a small things like sauces and when I go to get the order, I'm missing half of it. I go through the drive-through only to have to park and wait For simply a quarter pounder, meal and nuggets. Tonight I had enough, I had placed an order through The McDonald's app and only half of the order showed up, even though I was charged the full amount plus the delivery fee. I called the store because I wanted a refund (just for the missing items) after so many times it's just the principal of customer service. They told me I would need to come down to the store, which I wasn't able to do. Hence, why I ordered the delivery. They refused to give me a refund and blamed Uber eats when the order was taped shut in McDonald's. Not only are they not taking responsibility for their own behavior, but want you to take it up with a third-party app that might take it out on the driver who did nothing. The employees I spoke to over the phone tonight refused to give me any name or information so I could talk to the manager the next day when I could make it down to the store. Overall, I wouldn't leave this long a review for a fast food place, but really don't eat here. I know the Burger King up the road closed, but you would have better luck with the rats in their parking lot than you would the employees in this location. read more

Simple order of 6 piece nuggets kids meal and still no sauce despite specifically being asked if we wanted sauce.

Nice McDonald's. Even though it's at a busy intersection with good amount of traffic and drive thru customers, there are parking spots all around and it's easy to exit. Inside is clean and efficient. Workers are great. I tried the kiosk to order and it's very easy. Pay there and take your number and sit and they bring it all to you. My chicken pico de Gallo was delicious. My husband was able to add extra beef patties and customize on the kiosk. It was a win-win. I am very happy with my visit and am impressed with this McDonald's. Good job employees! read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I've been to this McDonalds plenty of times, and they'd get my order correct 80% of the time when I order by drive through. However, I always double check my order and ordinarily catch their mistakes. But today 11/16/17 around 9pm, I ordered a medium sized order for 3 people. The young guy at the drive through window gave me my order and assume that the order was finished until I told him I was missing a couple items. He went back and check back with another bag, which was still short a few times... On his third attempt, I didn't bother checking and gave him the benefit of the doubt that he would be sure not to mess up again; plus I felt bad for the line that built behind me. That was my mistake. When I got home 15 minutes later, I realized I was short a Big Mac... I called in and spoke with a woman with a Spanish accent, and a bad attitude. She told me I could either return tonight or only tomorrow for the sandwich but no later after that. I explained I wouldn't be able to return tonight or tomorrow, and she told me the offer would not be on the table afterwards. I asked for her name, or the name of the manager on duty, and she would not supply me with the information and hung up on me. She hung up on me again when I tried calling back... Not only was there never an apology for the inconvenience and error in putting my order together, but her attitude is completely unacceptable (even for a McDonald's). Triple check your orders! Advertised as 24 hour service but came by at 5:45 AM with no one working the drive through. Sat by the order window for several minutes with no response despite seeing several workers inside. Drove up to the pay window and looked in at the workers ignoring us. Was just hoping they would communicate that they were unable to assist rather than just ignoring us. read more

We ordered two kids meals with 6 piece chicken nuggets and they are so uneducated, hired and working there and don't know how to read or listen! They gave us cheeseburgers instead in the kids meals and when we looked at the receipt it says 4 piece chicken nuggets for insult to injury. This place is laughable! How about giving me $50 for change of a $5? Idiots! Why do we keep going here? Google search says they open at 5:30 AM. Morning shift thinks they open at 6AM. Ordered a Sausage McMuffin breakfast meal the other morning, got to pick up window and there was nothing but confusion. The person at the window asked me who I placed the order with. Of course at that point my right foot pressed the accelerator and I went to another Mcdonalds. I usually never review fast food restaurants bc let's face it, it's fast food...but I felt the need to with this one. We stopped here on a whim, normally we don't eat fast food. We placed our order via the manager. I ordered two coffees light and sweet plus food. We got our order and sat down...for the very first time, the manager actually found us in the dining room and asked us if she made our coffees right! I was thoroughly impressed with this! We most certainly will come back here if our moods strike for fast food again! Drive thru slow and confusing. First, getting in and out is dangerous for the location. Its Rte 22 so cars are going fast when they pull in, but the drive thru exit is right by the entrance ramp so there's possibility for head on collisions if you're not careful. Second, two drive thru kiosks doesn't mean there are two staff persons taking orders to make it faster. At least not when I was there. Then, the ordeal with my order... Ugh... I placed an order for three of us. I pay at the first window and when I get to the pick up window I get half the order. When I ask for the rest of my order huge confusion breaks out. They take my receipt. They take the bag back. They get the drive thru staffer out who says I didn't pay. He asks me for my receipt and how much I paid, but they took everything from me to investigate! What kind of shenanigans is this? At this point I have no food, no receipt for the food I paid for, and the whole staff has stopped what they are doing to look at the customer who the staffer says didn't pay. What's going on here?!? Now I have to repeat my whole order so the confused staffer can make sense of things. He says I only paid for one order and not the second order. What?!? I'm one car. How can I place two orders? Well, the way that happens is when the staffer taking your order has a work headset in one ear and his Bluetooth in the other ear on a personal call. Now I have to ask him how much is the second order he created so I can pay him so I can get my food. By now my "first order" bag has been passed around to three staffers before I get it back. Opened up, poked through, prodded and investigated. Getting colder by the second. I finally get my "second order" so my family can eat. What an ordeal! Big disappointment. Restaurant is bright, modern and clean but it's the food and service that matters. Tried the buttermilk tenders and they were overcooked, dry and tough. The fries were rubbery, cold and tasteless. I was one of only two customers and it still took 15 minutes to get my order. Staff was lethargic and my cashier seemed lost. This place is great! They have two drive thru windows to accommodate busy times when you need to get in and out fast. The food is perfect and the service is friendly. The fries are the best around. They even have table service in the restaurant...This is definitely one of the better McDonald's I have been to. read more
