This place is awful. I mean bad for even McDonald's. Took about ten tries to get the order in. Took 15 mins for the food that I swear must of been reheated. The burgers were luke warm. The fries were room temp. The bun was soggy. I'll consider it a good day if I don't get hepatitis. read more

I wish I could rate this place a "0", not even worth the 1 needed to vote. The only reason I go here is if 1) I pick up a shift in Hardeeville (which is not often) 2) I forget lunch at home (again, not often), 3) I dont have much money to spend at the time and 4) I actually have a decent mood to deal with this place. Being the nice guy that I am, I always say please and thank you, whether you deserve it or not, its how I was raised. Most of the time I go, I say thank you, they give me a smug look, brush me off, and ask for the next customer. Look, I get it, you don't like your job, it doesn't pay enough for what you think you are worth, but at least have an ounce of energy to say "you are welcome", give me something. I used to manage a McDonalds for 2 years, all over Savannah, I was there, managing the kitchen, when they first opened the McDonalds on Broughton street in downtown Savannah, on, if I remember correctly, St. Pattys day. The reason I say this, is because, if you want to run a good location, you have to lead by example, motivate your staff, put a fire under their butts, do something. This place does absolutely nothing and I loathe the moment I walk in, place my order, get my food, and step out. Why do I go if I know its just going to be the same ole same ole, you may ask? Well, to be honest, I am hoping that it gets better, and I would like to be there when it does, but until then, this will be my mindset for this McDonalds. read more

We had a bad experience here. I mean really bad. We were driving back from our vacation and stopped to pick up something. My kids wanted to eat in the car so we could reach our destination quickly. So I wrote up a list of what everyone wanted to eat and went inside to place it. I read the list to the cashier and it included some "special" items. We ordered 3 McDoubles PLAIN. I told the cashier "meat and bun only". There were other items I ordered and the cashier acted like she didn't know where the correct buttons to push were located. She kept asking the cashier next to her where the right ones were! When we got our order, I checked the 3 McDoubles and they all had cheese on them. I told her that I stated no cheese and she told me that I didn't say that. I showed her my list that I read from and it said "meat and bun only" on it. So I waited for 3 more McDoubles. They came out and were wrong AGAIN! At that point, I asked for the Manager and told her the problem. There was lots of yelling going on from other members of the staff and it just seemed like nobody knew what they were doing. Someone by me waited a good 5 minutes for croutons because nobody knew where they were located. When I got the McDoubles for the THIRD time, they were correct. I checked all 3 to verify this and a customer came up during this and ordered a burger with just ketchup and mustard. I told him to be sure to check his order! read more

Our family stopped by for dinner today. We decided to go through the drive thru. First, they didn't record the order correctly. Second, the quality of the food was not great. The sandwiches were dry and nuggets were overly crispy and bland. Last, they forgot to add straws to the bag. Usually McDonald's has good quality food for what they charge but this location was a let down. I hope it was just tonight and not an everyday experience. If so, some coaching may need to be done in all aspects. read more

Burger was good, but otherwise...The Worst McDonalds Ever! I've never sat so long in a fast food drive thru, and we couldn't even bail from the line because we got boxed in by other trapped drivers. Huge waste of time, and food (once we finally got it) was just above room temp, so it's not like it seemed as though it was actually freshly made. McDonalds restaurant has gotten to be a hit and miss experience. I recently visited the restaurant on Exit 8 in South Carolina and like always they mess up the order it doesn't matter what it is...when I got to the window the employee is texting, playing around with a co-worker, and flirting with a customer. She was doing everything except paying attention to my order. needless to say she got it all wrong and when I got home I had something totally different than what I had ordered!!! They should take some customer service classes from Chick Fillet. read more

Slowest and rudest McDonald's I've ever been to. Don't stop if you are in a hurry! All I ordered was a diet Coke and they had the wrong size waiting for me at the window. When I pointed out to her she was extremely put out that she had to correct it. read more

Food is what you'd expect, not great.. but the service is even worse. Don't expect your food to come out quickly, the cashier will need to come in from their cigarette break before you get a chance to pay.... my advice is save yourself the frustration and and GI distress and just pick something up from the gas station side of the building. Disgusting. Trash all over the floor, slow employees, no straws napkins ketchup etc.. They had no food that we asked for, the were out of ice cream, breakfast food (what happened to 24 hr breakfast?), salads, chicken tenders, and a lot of their sauces. Overall terrible. read more

Slow slow slow and bathrooms were not stocked. When I let the manager know the toilet paper was almost gone and there were no paper towels, he could have cared less and went back to his cell phone. Food was your typical McDonald's food. At least it was hot. read more

Service was Efficient in the drive through with a short waiting time, there is a very nice interior, everything looked clean and sanitary, very nice atmosphere, great place to eat with friends or family indoors, the fries were very lightly salted, that's a good thing but they were almost just plain fried potatoes, the chicken sandwich is very delicious and the price is a steal, i recommend going to this McDonald's if you're in town they have good service. read more

Hardeville McDonalds across from Coastal Carolina Hospital on Hwy.278. Poor service, disrespectful manager. Will not be returning there to eat. Had to wait in drive-thru. Only person in line @ 6pm on Fri. 1.24.14. Manager walked by window, saw my facial expression and started to laugh at me along with the clerk. "How pathetic is that!" The McDonald's is connected to a gas station, this may be the only downside to this, even though it's nothing to really worry about. You shouldn't really except much from a McDonalds. It's clean, it's rarely packed, the food is hot and good, and it's opened 24/7. I see a lot of negativity in these reviews, I mean come on it's a McDonalds not a 5-star restaurant. The only reason for the long wait is because the have to take time and cook the food, but if the under cook your food you get angry and complain. IT'S A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT!!!
