Buford Chick-fil-A (Manager Nicole) I've always associated Chick-fil-A with top-tier customer service, which is why my recent experience at the Buford location was especially disappointing. I arrived just nine minutes before the lunch menu switch and politely asked if I could place an order for fries to be made fresh at 10:30, once they started serving lunch. This seemed like a reasonable request -- simply to place the order and wait. Unfortunately, the response I received from Nicole, who appeared to be a manager, was anything but courteous. She flatly refused the request and did so with a visible scowl that made it clear she had no interest in being helpful. Her demeanor was cold, dismissive, and frankly one of the most unpleasant I've encountered at any Chick-fil-A -- a brand built on hospitality and respect. It was surprising and disappointing to be treated with such hostility over something that could have easily been handled with a simple, kind explanation. Going to Chick-fil-A and receiving exceptional service should be a given... until today apparently. We were the only people in the dining room when we arrived and it still took what felt like forever to receive our food. The teenager who brought us our drinks was holding the cups sideways and had them dripping all over the table. Not a single table on our side of the restaurant was clean and the employees were standing around talking the whole time. Just because this Chick-fil-A is in a touristy area doesn't mean that they can't give top tier service. Dined in for breakfast this morning. They were not busy at 8:00am - neither drive through, nor dining room. Several tables needed wiping down. James had difficulty taking the order (new? Poorly trained?). Food came out wrong on 3 items and missing another. Food runner had a bit of an attitude. Sent 2 items back for correction. 10 minutes later they still hadn't corrected the mistake. Last night I was Dashing for DoorDash when I had an order for chick-fil-a pop up. I got through the drive thru rather quickly, like always. Although somehow they accidentally forgot to give me one of the bags, things didn't end there.... It was almost closing and I bet everyone was tired. I didn't know because I can't look inside the bags, so I drove off. As I was at the red light waiting to go, an employee RAN across the parking lot to my car to bring me the second bag that was supposed to go with the order! Terrible experience- We went through drive thru and 3 people taking orders on one side, and the other side which we were in was one person taking orders. I asked if they made an off menu item called the frosted sunrise (my chick-fil-a makes them), and I showed them the recipe. I have never had a bad experience here! The restaurant is clean and the employees are terrific. A world of difference from other fast food places I've been to. Polite, respectful, and courteous are a few words I'd use to describe everyone of the staff I've encountered. The food is fresh and delicious! I normally get lunch here, however, I was there pretty early so I gave their breakfast a try. The chicken biscuit really hit the spot! The biscuit was moist and buttery! They get really busy at peak hours, but they do there best to keep the lines moving. A couple employees will come outside with iPads to take orders from the long line of cars to minimize your wait.
