The Hillsborough McDonald's is an older one and a busy place. I decided to stop here as I was not sure what I'd find as I drove north as the smaller towns may not have many or any options. The staff was friendly enough but the tables weren't so clean. I went with the McDouble Meal Deal as it is cheaper to order it that way. I left the unopened chicken nuggets there as I don't like them. The other food was typical McDonald's quality. read more

I almost always use the drive-thru here but I have gone in a few times. The service has always been prompt and friendly. Actually, better than most McDonald's locations. The food is, well, McDonald's. The quality has never improved but the prices are sure going up a lot. One of the better McDonald's locations in NC. FRIES ARE ALWAYS CRISPY AND PERFECT, which keeps me coming back. Service is friendly. Wish they hadn't remodeled, it was one of the last standing older design McDonalds. I really hope McDonald's goes back to the classic look. read more

Today, I tried the new Mamba and Sweet & Spicy Jam sauces. I have to say, they were pretty good. I tried them out with a Twenty Piece chicken nugget, and a medium fry (pictured below). The Sweet & Spicy Jam sauce was just like it said on the container, sweet and spicy with a jam-like consistency. Though the Mamba was unexpected with a smoky apple flavor with a spicy aftertaste. They were really good! Both sauces meshed well with the french fries and nuggets. The service and the ambience are generic for a McDonald's, nothing special. read more

This is an average McDonald's restaurant when it comes to food. The food is served fresh and we've never been told they were out of anything. The restrooms are outrageously filthy but I'm not sure if that reflects that the customers are pigs and messy or the restrooms do not get a regular cleaning. My first thought for writing this review was to blame McDonald's. Then on a repeat visit I watched how long the two employees stood outside the restrooms to get a chance to clean them around the needs of the customers to use them. So I have to give them a two and one half star rating. I've seen worse but I've also seen better. read more

An emergency phone call from my customer required that I find a wi fi signal and FAST. Here's McDonald's to the rescue. In the "corner" near where I-85 and I-40 meet, it's closer to I-85. The large parking lot was easy to get into and later, easy to get back onto the road. While sitting in the corner with my laptop, I had a chance to watch the customer ebb and flow for an hour while the crew did their thing. They seemed to have pretty good control over it and I saw no complaints. The wi-fi worked perfectly and no one hassled me at all for not making a purchase (I'd gotten Taco Bell an hour before). This is THE GROSSEST!!! McDonalds I have EVER (and that's saying something$ been in. There are Flies everywhere, food on literally every table in the dining area, every garbage can overflowing, and crud all over the floor!! It's a clean McDonald's but they're a little slow. The whole time we were there there was a lady having a conversation on her speaker phone and she was cussing. I stop for breakfast at the McDonald's at exit 164 off I85 once a month on my home from Duke. The food is always freshly prepared, hot and exactly what I want. The staff is friendly and efficient. This morning some beautiful soul behind the drive thru window stirred my coffee after they added sugar and milk. It was so delicious, and such a small gesture, but it made my whole day better. Terrible location. Don't eat here. The employees here don't care about food quality. I ordered a Little Mac, mcNuggets and some fries (drive thru). There was MOLD on the bottom of the bun. I love this McDonald's, especially the drive through since the people are efficient and friendly. If it's super busy, sometimes they have someone standing outside taking drive through orders. The McMuffins, pancakes, and coffee are excellent, and hash browns are crispy most mornings. They are willing to customize my iced coffee and do a nice job making grilled chicken sandwiches how I want them, without mayo. I'd recommend this McDonald's to anyone passing through the area. read more

Customer service is out the door! Big sign on the window says "ANY DRINK ANY SIZE $1.00". I think it was the head counter person (manager?) who took my order. I ordered a steak bagel and two drinks. She handed me two medium cups. I said, "could I have large cups please?" She put two large cups on the counter and said, "you didn't say what size you wanted!" No, I didn't say what size I wanted but I thought the comment was unnecessary and rude. So I made my drinks and waited for my bagel. After about 5 minutes I noticed that a bag had appeared on the counter. I looked inside and it was my order. No one had bothered to let me know. I wondered if they'd like for me to come and give an in-service on being polite. read more

To begin with, your dollar menu is pitifully sparse. If I ask for extra pickle, onion, ketchup, mustard, or anything else that you don't charge additional for, I might as well not even bother asking. It's to no avail.....there is no extra of anything that I've asked for. While I was there on this particular visit I observed what appeared to be a manager filling fries, make that dispensing fries because he certainly wasn't FILLING the containers for the fries. It amazes me that fries cost you so very little, next to sodas it's probably your biggest money maker and yet you still feel it necessary to short a customer on their order(s). I ran a business for 28 years and I never cheated a customer, as a matter of fact, I went the other way, I gave the customer more than they asked or paid for. Pat, I am going to assume that you're going to read this survey so listen to this. You are more than blessed by success and live VERY well, why don't you show your appreciation for same and offer senior citizens and certainly veterans discounts. 10% for senior citizens and 20% for veterans. The customer service is fine. Maranda is the best and always so friendly. However, the way employees are treated there is horrible! I won't be back until they are treated respectfully and how they deserve to be treated. Managers should respect the cashiers, cooks, everyone, but they definitely do not!
