A piece of advice, if anyone on here goes to Irvine or is from there, don't eat at the McDonald's. My daughter ordered food for everyone last night because it was the only one open by the time we got back into town, and by this morning, two of her kids were throwing up with diarrhea and severe stomach cramps. Went thru drive thru this morning and asked for a bacon biscuit with extra bacon. I got a bacon cheese biscuit with half piece of bacon and another very small piece of bacon. I paid extra for the bacon that wasn't there and paid to much for the bacon that was there. So I decides to go to McDonald's to simply get a drink. I got in line and the line wasn't quiet but it wasn't busy either. I then waited in like for 20 minutes without moving. I finally got up to order and I got asked if I was using the mobile app, I said no, and then minutes go by and they never took my order. I just left because I didn't have another hour to waste. Bc of the COVID-19, as you know EVERYONE is using the drive thrus! They are packed, some times it into the street. I was in Estill Cty on business, so when I went to order #1 I was in a hurry #2 I was cranky They got the price of the order wrong, [8+$ for nuggets] BUT when I asked him to check it, he did with a smile. He was totally cool about it, as if I was the only person in the drive through! He got the manager to fix it, then said "you seem pretty stressed today, is it ok if I pay for you later"? I'm sure this is a expected review of any McDonalds, but we went there the night that a snow storm was expected. We put in a mobile order, and went to pick it up. There was a sign on the window that said they would be closing at 12am that night, we got there around 10:30-11:00pm. Slowest McDonalds I've ever been to. Took my son and I 36 minutes to go through drive thru to get a coffee and sausage biscuit at 10:30am. So not really rush hour. I walked in thinking it may be quicker the next time we went just to find out it's slower. The Sunday late night shift never has hot coffee or ice coffee even though they tell you all they are serving is breakfast at drive thru speaker. I'm always told their cleaning the machines or the machines are down. I'd say it's more of being a young, lazy staff full of excuses. read more

This place is such a joke it's EVERY TIME I could understand once in a while but it's every time. Either the burgers are jacked up or you order a new chicken sandwich and instead of making a new one you get the one made for a different sandwich that tastes like pickles. The fries are either hard or soft have no salt or too much. Stuff is never right and if my kids didn't love the toys I would never waste my money here. Ice cream machin is either broken or out of mix. Ordering sweet tea is like Russian roulette it's either sweet or definitely not. Don't order McFlurry either unless you're looking for a half a cup of ice cream and a teas of cookies. This review is for take-out only, as that we did not eat in the dining area. This is a small McDonalds, which lends well to the drive-through and take-out options. One thing that's great about McDonald's is that, for the most part, you get a standard product that's the same no matter where you go. The variables are with the staff, not with the base product. That being said, my Big Mac was a perfectly delicious, well executed Big Mac. I appreciated that it took the guess work out of "palatable food in an unfamiliar area." The french fries were crispy, warm and salty. The only issue was that there were no packets of ketchup in our to-go bag, and none to be found at the condiment bar. This was a little bothersome, especially as the line to the counter was long, and the staff seemed too busy to grab some for us. If you're passing through town, this is a solid bet for your fast food experience, but nothing to write home about. read more

As far as McDonald's go this one is clean and the staff seems polite and respectful. Food is freshly prepared and ready to go in a very timely fashion. Recommend you get to your closest one for nuggets and french vanilla ice coffee. read more

McDonald's in Irving is awful after I went through the drive-through and the chicken nuggets were on sale they were supposed to be 20 nuggets for six dollars so I said give me two orders of that so when I got home after being charged $12.70 I only had 20 nuggets to feed three children so this is an awful place and when I called back all they wanted to do was replace the 20 nuggets sometimeIn the future it was very very bad. I have lived in Irvine for 11 months. I eat fast food about once or twice a week. I eat at this particular McDonald's about 90% of the time because I really like McDonald's food and it is a 30 mile drive to the next establishment. This restaurant has the worst service I have ever experienced in my 31 years of life. 70% of the time I go there the employees foul my order. I have a large family so it is hard to realize when they forget one or two items in my order. I have had to start doing an inventory with my receipt in the parking lot and then hold on to it until everyone (4 kids and their mother) confirm they have their order. When I do return to correct my order (which is relatively often) the employee's and manager hassle me like I am trying to scam them for a dollar burger. Even though my order is generally 16 to 20 dollars. I have been compelled to finally leave a negative review because I just sat waiting for them to tell me they are ready to take my order for about 3 minutes with a line behind me and no one in front of me. Finally I asked them if they are ready to take my order and they replied- "sure go ahead when ever your ready......."This time when I get home thankfully all the items where there. As we sat down to eat the children's mother bit into her crispy chicken sandwich to find that it is not fully cooked (cold in the center). One mistake would be understandable but this is very consistently poor service. I am never rude to people in the service industry and am reluctant to complain because if people are this lackadaisical in their every day task's and take this little pride in their competence then I don't place much faith in how they would react to even polite constructive criticism. I don't want lazy, ignorant and immature people retaliating by tampering with the the family and or my food. read more
