I just got back from the drive-through. I ordered 1 egg, cheese and bacon biscuit and a small mocha, made with whole milk. When I got home, I discovered the "mocha" was a plain black coffee. This is the second time in the last month this has happened. As a pattern of behavior, this McDonald's is making an enormous amount of undeserved money by substituting plain coffee for cappuccino drinks in the drive-through line. Check your drinks carefully, you need to open the drinks while in the car line and confront the manager with the rip-off before driving home. Shame on McDonald's! read more

Absolutely horrible management here... it took ten minutes of waiting curbside before going inside to complain, two minutes to get the attention of the person who was then going to bring it to the car, then another three minutes before the manager came out. The worst part was her complete disregard, and did not care at all. She said she just got on, and could find out what took so long.... I don't care why it took so long, how about addressing the unsatisfied customer. I had to ask for a refund, she didn't offer it and then she accidentally refunded someone else's order, so when I called that to her attention, I had to get the difference in cash. #BadService McDonald's #DoesntCareAboutTheCustomer read more

McDonald's never gets old. Good fast food to go, especially when your traveling. McDonald's in a sure thing when you are on the road for a long time of on a vacation. Slow operation , even though there are too many employees they don't have the experience I guess, it took me 14 minutes to get my "classics double cheeseburger.!! " And I saw three mistakes at the same visit! Calling 312 instead of 311 and mix a lot of orders. Chicken nuggets was missing ..etc. This is cannot be McDonald's! This is probably my favorite fast food restaurant. It is a great place to take kids if you have any. The service there is usually really nice, however like most places they do sometime make mistakes and that's okay. Kids love eating here I'd recommend the ice cream and milkshakes. I usually buy ice cream here because it's nice and creamy and tastes really really good. In conclusion I'd recommend McDonald's to people with a big family or people who want to eat with fiends. I'd give it a 8.5/10 I highly recommend eating at McDonald's. read more

A lot of times their chicken nuggets are hot which is great. Their drive thru cashiers are friendly and smile. However this last time I ordered to go and had to wait a long time for my order. Someone else after me got their order. And my food wasn't even hot. It was just sitting there. Also my sausage McMuffin was very tough and chewy. It was like they over-microwaved it way too long. Mobile ordered ahead of time to save time. Waited 15 minutes, no sign of anything so finally went into the store. Young kid with anger in his face giving me orders saying nothing. Getting out rushed found out there are two missing sandwiches (ordered 5, only 3 in the bag) so went back to get them. We had 3 coffees and they were nothing more than bad tasted hot black water. I don't understand the purpose of a drive thru at this mc donald's i always have to wait on the "side" for a simple egg mc muffin meal &' they never seem to get my iced latte the correct way. It's taken a lot in me to do this review. I've gone several times and each time it gets worse but i wanted to give them a second chance. They literally take YEARS to give you your food. So many people are at the front asking where their food is. My friend and I ordered at the exact same time and i got my food first. It took 20 minutes MORE for my friend to get her food after I got mine. This is unacceptable and I will not be returning here. So unprofessional and unorganized. read more

This review is for dinning in only. Came here at 8:30 in the morning, the beverage machine new had no ice, the bathrooms had no toilet paper and both tea dispensers had no tea. If I could give zero or no stars I would. This McDonald's has the worst customer service for over 25 years. They rarely get our order correct and give us luke warm fries never fresh. The staff doesn't care they treat our entire family mean and rude. But when a Hispanic customer comes in we have noticed they even get their food free! Seems as if they are family members. We have lived in Irvine for over 30 years and have never had a good experience at this McDonald's nor at the one on culver. The only reason we put up with the rudeness is to buy McDonald's but it's consistently a negative experience. Tried calling Mcnib corporation and never any answer. One more thing you'll be lucky if you can find someone that speaks English. I speak Spanish but one current employee could not understand anything I said simply asking for my grandchildrens ice cream cones. Also the lady that cleans the restaurant floor takes the mop out to the play toy area where the kids run around in their socks to play and shakes all the dirt into the play area after mopping the entire restaurant so the kids are playing in all the dirt from inside the restaurant. Come here frequently and mostly for coffee, sometimes meals. Cannot tell the difference in food from other McDonald's. The service is in general good, especially when it is not busy. Never had a problem when asking for a refill for my coffee. Sometimes I had to wait a little when it is really busy during meal time, but the employees' attitude is mostly cordial. read more

I tried to call McDonald's to ask them a question and order but then once I tried talking they said nothing and then put me on mute and then hung up. I tried that about 5 times and I got the same reply every time as if they thought I was prank calling. The service lady was rude. She was asking to speak in Spanish and then complained about my kids because they make noise like normal children. She basically scold at us and make us leave the premise in the hurry. This is the second time she did this to us. They should put the sign for no children allowed if they treated customer with children badly. She also pretends to be the manager but she is just a cleaning lady plus she bring our food to the table. If you have children avoid this place at all cost. Do Not Go Here! The most incompetent, intolerant staff and management I have encountered! Long read, but necessary to fully explain how terrible this location really is. I went through the drive-thru to order the egg McMuffin with turkey sausage at 9:53 pm. When I got to the pickup window, the employee handed me a bag, and just as I was about to drive off, I realized it was the wrong order. I reversed back to the window and let her know, at which point I was asked to pull over to the side and they would bring me my order. I waited in my car until 10:15, at which point I finally decided to park my car and go inside the restaurant. I walked up to the counter and told the employee at the counter that I had been waiting in my car for 20 minutes, to which he replied, "you got the sausage egg McMuffin? I just walked out there; you weren't there". No apology for the wait, or anything. I was pretty annoyed at this point, so I asked to speak to the manager to give them feedback because at this point, I was already having a bad experience...but it only got worse. She came over after a few minutes and asked me what was wrong. I told her I had been waiting 20 minutes for my order, and I thought that was excessive. At this point she tells me they don't serve turkey sausage at night, so the cooked me sausage, but it takes time to cook, which is why I had to wait. I stopped her there. First, again, no apology for making the customer wait...essentially making it seem like it was my fault for ordering what I did. But most importantly, she told me that they had given me pork sausage, not turkey, because they didn't have what I ordered, and had I not come inside and asked to speak with her, I would not have found this out because they sure as hell didn't mention it. I explained to her that this was totally unacceptable, that I do not eat pork for religious reasons, and that she and her team willfully substituted pork because they didn't have what I actually asked for, and they did so without my knowledge and with no intention of telling me. For a third time, I got no apology, not even an understanding that what they did was wrong. Instead, she tried to hand me the bag again, and asked me what I wanted her to do. I was confounded by the ignorance and religious intolerance I was witnessing, that I just told her to give me my money back and left the store. I had to share my story, so that people know not to go to this location. This review is for everyone, whether you are just someone who demands good service, or whether you are someone who has dietary restrictions, religious or otherwise, this location is not for you. This place has difficulty getting drive-thru orders correct, especially at breakfast. And they consistently leave off side orders. Always check your order before leaving the window because the crew doesn't do it for you. But the breakfast menu is cheap and pretty good for the price. The coffee is great. read more

This use to be my go to Mc Donald's but not anymore. The quality of the food and service has gone down. On Friday, I purchased 2 sausage mc muffins and the sausage smelled bad. I was too far away otherwise I would have gone back. Needless to say I was not happy. I had to throw them in the trash. I use to count on the fries always being hot, nope they are limp, and cold every time. My son tells me he stopped there for lunch today. He ordered a Fish Filet and fries. He waited 10 minutes and when he got the order the fries were cold, and in the middle of his sandwich it was still frozen. The service is terrible and the food is sub-par. The night crew is even worst. There is always a long line and they can't focus on the order because they are having too much fun talking and laughing. I would rather drive to the Barranca location where I know my food will be hot and they get you in and out. You've lost a customer. I've been coming here since 2010. read more

Now everybody always complaints about McDonald's but damn is there food good, or at least addictive. I don't fully feel qualified to write an accurate review about it, but this particular establishment deserve notoriety. The service is exemplary, like all other McDonald's shoulb be. Everytime I go to this restaurant they get my order wrong. Not sometimes - every time. All in trying to do is get a regular salad with grilled chicken and ranch dressing. Sounds easy, right? Not for these folks. So today when it was once wrong, I decided to call the manager. He said they can't know what I want, and I must be more specific .... really? How much more "specific" can you be when you say that you want a regular salad, no beans, corn or taco chips, just a plain salad with grilled chicken and ranch dressing??? Then he says that well, mistakes happen at all restaurants. Honestly, no they don't. I don't know if they simply don't train their people well at this branch, or if management there simply doesn't care enough to ensure their employees are up to par, but it's my last time there. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. Tonight, I ordered some McRib sandwiches because they're back! Was so excited for it. Mario, who took our order, completely messed it up and rung it up wrong. We ordered it with no onions and extra sauce. Mario asked what sauce and we had to tell him the BBQ sauce that it normally comes with. That should have been an indication. When asked why the receipt shows a weird order with some of the sandwiches as adding ketchup, mustard and even MAC sauce, he said that it had to be rung up that way to avoid an extra charge because we wanted extra BBQ sauce for all our sandwiches. When we got home and realized one of the four orders had some funky looking gooey relish cheese sauce, we called the restaurant and spoke with Mario himself. Mario then rudely and obnoxiously claims that it's like that because we ordered some with ketchup, some with mustard, and some with MAC sauce and he had the receipt to prove it. Oh. My. Goodness. Unbelievably classless behavior from an employee who clearly does not know what he's doing. Mistakes happen to everyone; we all make them. This was a minor issue, but how Mario handled it and himself is so distasteful and not a good representation of the franchise or company. read more

The McDonalds always has issues. I'm not sure it even has management running the place. They are always out of things. When I tried ordering the special pie posted on their menu board they said they don't carry that. When trying to order a strawberry sundae, suddenly they don't carry it. It's been a staple of McDonalds forever. Ordering in drive thru is always a gamble. We were told to park as the fries weren't ready. They had cars parked everywhere waiting for food. We had to come in to get our food. Defeats the point of ordering in a drive thru. Be aware, since they are located in an Irvine Company shopping center that means they have only 5 parking spots and the other 5 parking spots have to be shared with 30 other establishments. Lastly, what's with the amount of loitering that goes on in the lobby? People are always loitering on the computers at the tables. Good luck finding a table. read more
