The dessert was nothing like the advertised photo in the chains National advertising or the drive-through kiosk. The photo attached to this review is tilted sideways. Nothing mixed in. No layers of crunchy cookie bits or caramel below the first quarter inch of the dessert. The staff is the worst! I've done several mobile orders there and these people are the most unfriendly people ever. Honestly, it must be hell on earth working there. There will literally not be a person in the drive-through line but my mobile order will take 10 minutes to get outside! It's almost always wrong and I don't ask for anything special other than exactly what's on my order. I normally just take what I'm given and leave. I am not doing that anymore ...I'm just not going there anymore! I ordered and recieved the wrong persons meal... Laura in the drive thru watched me open and touch the items. They then took it back and actually rebagged it. I know it was rebagged because they used the same bag with oil spots on the bottom corner, and put it back in the serving line. This is incredibly disturbing at any time but especially during covid. Seeing the practices at this location I actually threw my corrected order out because theres no way of knowing if it was handled correctly. I made this place my guilty pleasure for a number of weeks. The first time was extremely weird. The girl at the speaker asked us to wait a minute - no explanation as to why. After about 2 minutes I said "hello?" to which she replied "just one minute please". After literally 5 minutes of watching the other drive-thru lane getting service we just switched over. Now I don't know this for sure but I believe the girl had to go to the bathroom which is why I was being told to wait ...FYI, please don't speak to me while you're in the bathroom. Surely there is a procedure to avoid this awkwardness. they forgot a lot of stuff but the franchise owner was really apologetic and promised to make it up to us. Even though we didn't get any vouchers in the mail as promised we let it slide and he made it up to us by comping our next meal at the drive-thru window. When we went in the following weeks my wife would check the bags thoroughly and we'd let them know of any items they'd missed, if anything (usually something). It must be difficult to get high school kids to work here on a Friday night, but I must say the 2 managers I saw a few weeks back were doing precisely nothing to help. Fast forward to Friday and me reminding the last window about our large fries and sweet n sour sauce for our McNuggets that were missing. They fixed us up and we were on our way home. A bunch of lazy a** kids huh can't even speak say "thank you" when they hand you your food. It's a fairly recently opened location, but hey it's a formula that's hard to flub! This location's food is the typical of all McDonalds, it's consistent in it's taste and quality. But this location, still needs more time to work out their lack of experience and step up to be like other established locations. Plus though their food is solid , but thanks just it, the food is good, but not great. Today is star testing for Katy, TX freshman for sure. My children have seen signs for weeks telling them there is free breakfast for star testers the morning of testing. We get to this McDonalds at about 6:20am. They are open. I'm at the intercom asking if it's still on and the woman tells me not until 7am and it's dine in only. I said school starts at 7:25am so how can they dine in at 7am & get to school on time. She says hold on, comes back and says "my bad it's 6am but it's fine in only." I pull up the the window to ask if the doors are open, she said yes they should be but it's only for 3rd thru 7th grade." I said my kids are freshman, they have star testing today. She says they told me it's only for 3rd they 7th. Obviously we left. But it's not just today that's an issue. The manager here is always mad, the assistant manager (this is what I'm calling her) follows his lead & the rest of the employees always seem afraid. The other employees always check with the manager on every single question which is fine I guess but he hovers over their backs like an mad man. I just wish the service and attitudes were better because the location is closest to Seven Lakes High School and it's unfortunate that my children were turned away on their way to school. read more
