The absolute worst McDonald's I've ever been to... and I've tortured myself NOT once, but TWICE at this establishment. Please replace your current staff with Kiosks...sadly, the kiosks would be far more reliable, kind and could actually communicate more succinctly than your current employees. During my last visit the employee couldn't get the payment system to work. I eventually decided it was no longer worth the wait and canceled my order and left. Much to my surprise, several days later, the order was charged to my credit card!!! read more

Used Apple Pay to get two small hamburgers. They claim the transaction did not go through my phone shows it did. I called Chase Bank and they show that the transaction did in Fact go through. They refuse to be professional and I informed them that the whole things was recorded which it was on my dash camera in my car. WOW, I even have the pic of the transaction going through! They are rip offs! I will definitely protest this location and never come back again! Please do me a favor and avoid this location and go down the street to Burger King or the new McDonalds in SJC that is very close. read more

This place is soooo bad. The only reason I continue to go here is because my son loves the happy meals. I'm trying to get him to step up to In-n-out. I worked in a McDonald's when I was a kid. This place is nothing like the McDonald's I remember. Service is slow and the food is usually slightly warm, never hot. I had an unpleasant encounter and received horrible customer service from, Nancy, the store manager at the Ladera Ranch store. She was unprofessional, lacked empathy, and was straight out rude. Here's what happened. Most of us have had these experiences from ordering from drive through to just come home, and realize items were either missing or not cooked the way it was ordered. This was my case so I called the branch immediately and spoke to Nancy the store manager. She confirmed with me over the phone that she would put my name down and then give me a free meal for the inconvenience on my next visit. So the next time I went to McDonalds I mentioned her name to an associate and he said to wait and that he would check with his manager who happened to be Nancy today. He came and told me that she said that they will not honor that. I then proceeded to inform him that she said that she was going to log my name in for reference. He then told me to pull forward and that Nancy will help me. So I did and as she approached the window she didn't mention anything to me and gave my total like nothing was going on. I said that the meal should've been comped because of the mishap on my previous order. She then replied with a simple "No" and nothing else. She didn't show any signs of empathy or customer service. As a manager, I would be concerned and also happy that a unsatisfied customer was coming back to give her another shot at my business again. But all she said with a short and unfriendly tone was "No." I then said well did you check the log to see if my name was on it as you promised. She then proceeded to search for the book as if she didn't even check initially when I explained it to the first associate. She then glanced at it quickly and showed it to me very fast and said in an unfriendly tone, "no your name is not on here." At this point, I'm at disbelief that this manager is not giving me an out or solving this issue with more tactic or with any business acumen. On top of that, she was very short with me and presented unprofessional behavior by the way she was talking, and her irritable facial expression to me. So, to save time, since she wasn't giving me any other option, I then asked who I can call to complain about this issue. She then proceeded to lift a piece of paper on the outside drive-thru window that was covering the customer service hotline and email. To me, as a manager as well, to create an unpleasant experience for a customer, just for a free meal, that was originally promised to me by the manager for their mishaps, doesn't make any business sense. The amount of advertising McDonald's does and to piss it all away, because the manager didn't want to stand by her word, and give a free meal for $6-8 doesn't make any business sense at all. read more

I work in this area on M/W/F and kick myself every time I go here, I tell myself it was just a bad day to go here and end up going again, only to be let down. So my problem is if you go through the drive through, your hamburger will be cold and the bun won't be soft at all, so I now go inside because I like McDees, and sure enough the burgers are a little better, just good enough for me not to complain, but I go to a different one and it's still possible to get a good burger wow, thanks for nothing, and I gave this place so many chances before this review read more

I'm so disappointed of the treatment I had today at this McDonald's, there are so many fast food restaurants pretty much praying for people to order food, I totally understand that young adults or teenagers work at this place , I understand errors buy do not tolerate disrespectful employees , I'm spending my money there at least they should show a respectful and nice communication, that's called people skills . Those teenagers don't have a clue how to treat a customer. The reviewers here giving it low ratings are mainly the typical whiny entitled customers who had like one bad experience. Luckily no one really looks at reviews to go to McDonald's. They are so lazy that they can't stir their mochas so all the chocolate sits at the bottom, they just pump their sauces on without mixing at all. This has happened EVERY-TIME. This is a nice, clean McDonalds. With a young child, he likes the playground. My question is, why would you put 3 video games in a playground? There are 3 touchscreen video games here. Isn't the goal of a playground to have kids play, not sit in front of a screen? There is already too much tech out there and now you bring it to a playground. read more

This place has gotten a lot better since my last review. The current staff are pretty efficient. I'm here almost every week and have had no problems with any of my recent purchases. The staff is rude and needs customer service training classes! I came around 11 on a Friday night since it's the only thing open besides corkys. I ordered through the drive thru, which according to other reviews, was a big mistake. I waited 15 minutes for a very simple order of chicken nuggets, a grilled chicken wrap, and medium fries. When they finally brought the food to me (they asked me to pull out of the drive thru and wait in a parking spot) it was cold!!! My boyfriends 20 piece nuggets tasted like they had been sitting around for awhile, and the fries were room tempature. I went inside to ask for them to please remake it, and the shift leader/manager was rude to me and acted like it was a big inconvenience for her. Once again, they were slow and took their sweet time fixing the order. The second time the food was hot. It's a shame because usually mcdonalds employees are nice and work hard. They have two lines for the drive through, but they take people in the wrong order leaving the people that have been there the longest to wait even more. When I got to the window to pay, the guy is texting on his phone, then turns around and starts talking to another employee, then goes back to texting. After a couple minutes I drove to the next window and told the manager. He then took my card all the way back there to charge it. Then they give me the wrong order. This place is crazy, and not in a good way. I've never seen such absolute disregard for customers. read more

I first started visiting this McDonald's location about 6 months ago and I've made a dozen trips here since. Unfortunately they've messed up my order almost every time. I tend to place very simple orders such as fries, big mac, and drink (so nothing elaborate), but somehow they struggle to get it right time and time again. They tend to either forget an item or give me the wrong item. The first couple times I brushed it off as a fluke, but it keeps happening over and over again with the most recent experience being last night. I've been to a lot of McDonald's in my time and unfortunately this one is hands down the worst. This place is making the McDonald's brand look terrible. I really wish they would at least attempt to get their act together, but I won't be holding my breath. My recommendation -- go eat somewhere else. You know, normally I would not even bother to write a McDonalds review BUT today's experience was soooooo bad, here goes. Today we were babysitting two of our grandkids and promised them McDonalds, a Happy Meal, and a Happy Meal prize. As we approached the door, there was a sign on the door saying that they were out of Happy Meal toys -- not good for our grandkids. We decided to eat there anyway. Even though we were eating-in the server brought our food out in bags. I asked for a tray for the food. I was informed that they were out of trays because they were dirty. So we had to eat our meal on the dirty tables inside the restaurant. I personally cleaned the table off. We went to fill the drink glasses -- the ice was not working and the water machine was broken. That would be strike two and three. Thankfully we didn't really care about the food as much as the play area. This McDonalds has the best local play area available. For spending 12 bucks for food, the best part was actually the play area. We finished our McDonalds experience and started to leave. I asked one of the workers for a drink carrier. Would you believe that they were even out of drink carriers? They were... McDonalds, Ladera Ranch -- you should be ashamed of yourselves... read more

Kind of weird to be rating one store location of a mega corporate franchise. I come here often for drivethru, mainly because of limited fast food choices in ladera ranch. The only saving grace at this location is that one super friendly kid (the tall guy in glasses) that has very professional mannerism and takes his job extremely seriously. My wife and i always talk about how this kid will eventually become successful when he is older. Anyway, most of the other employees except some managers are pretty unfriendly in general. Food items are pretty much just whatever mcd food, but dessert items really show how crappy this location is here. Smoothie and shake items are meh and iced coffee is always so inconsistent. Runs out of main dessert items like applepie pretty often. Cant wait till ladera ranch gets more variety of fast food. read more

I visit this location alot considering i am close by. I use the drive thru about 90% of the time and have not really been disappointed. Its always relatively fast, obviously depending on rush hours, and they try to give everyone as best an experience as possible. The only thing that kind of annoys me is not having ketchup. I dont know if its a corporate rule that ketchup isnt automatically given with fries, but sometimes i forget to ask for them and so i dont get any. Sometimes i am asked to pull into a spot to wait for my order ( which is totally understandable, sometimes it gets busy ) however after i have done that, i dont really want to receive cold soggy fries. He understands the concept of Customer Service. :-) We ordered hot fudge sundaes on a Saturday evening and were told there was some sort of glitch and to wait in designated parking spot for food to come out. We were then brought plain ice cream - no fudge or nuts. Mitchell apologized for the preparation mistake and brought us new sundaes... with an extra side of hot fudge sauce in a separate cup as well as extra nuts to make up for their error and all with a great attitude & smile. Was this necessary ? No -- but he did it anyways because his goal was a happy customer. And that was exactly the result!!! read more

I just go through to buy a food at 11:27 pm, I bought 5 items, they put only 4 items, missing a Big Mac burger. This is a second time happened to us. This McDonald's is way above the average Mcdonalds. The service is pretty good compared to the others. It's kept pretty clean and the dining room is bright and open. There are two tvs there, one on a news channel and another on a kids channel. The playhouse is pretty big and impressive. I haven't quite been through the drive thru but it is one of those that are split lanes that merge into one. read more

I usually don't negatively review things, especially McDonalds, but this was exceptionally bad service. McDonald's is notorious for getting my order incorrect, but this was ridiculous. I ordered sweet tea, when i got to the window, I reconfirmed, he repeated, and when I got home it was unsweet. 2nd, I was overcharged for my double cheeseburger meal; supposed to be $2.50, not $4.50 (only came with a small fry and burger). Burger had onions on it, which I asked to be removed. And lastly, I asked for Ketchup and when I got home it was freaking salsa..Really???
