I asked the waitress about them. She agreed they were nasty and said she would say something to Patrick about cleaning them. A minute later, and the woman who took my friends card comes back and rudely says, "It declined." We panic a little but I just handed her my card instead. Our cards declining was very concerning because we both had money in our accounts and had just used them. So my friend hands the woman her credit card, which should not get declined. Then the woman tells us that this card was declined too. At this point we know it's not just a coincidence or anything on our part, so I politely asked "I'm sorry, but is there anything wrong with the machine? Our cards shouldn't be declining. Especially that lat one since it's a credit card." The woman blatantly says, "No, there's nothing wrong with it." That's all she says. Neither me or my friend had enough cash so we ended up only getting one ice cream. The problem wasn't that there were technical difficulties, that I can understand. Things happen. But the woman who served us was insanely rude and inconsiderate with us. I would have liked for her to double check that there wasn't anything wrong on her end but she wouldn't do that.
