They do have a nice little patio out back if you have dogs with you and it has parking as well. All in all a solid spot good drinks and pastries which is what you're coming here for. I also buy their espresso beans because, you know, I can't come here every day lol. And if you buy a bag of coffee, they give you a free drip or iced coffee, which is such a nice little perk! One thing to keep in mind: if you come on a weekend morning, make sure you have a little extra time. The shop itself is pretty tiny, so they only allow about 5-6 people inside at a time, and the line can form outside. That said, they have tons of outdoor seating and even some additional indoor seating right next door, so there's still plenty of space to enjoy your coffee. Located in a parking lot next to Wilson Park on Compton Blvd and Alameda Street you'll find this nice cut lawn in front of this small white building, Patria Coffee Roaster. A guy to my right was sitting next to the window working on his laptop. And two others against the wall sipping their coffees and doing whatever on their phones. A customer was at the register ordering while another customer walked in to stand in line behind me. I let her go in front of me while I took pics and recorded footage. I like the atmosphere and space a lot. It has a very nice decor. Artwork, pictures and murals with history displayed along the walls. Grab and cold drinks available for purchase. Nice music playing that wasn't too loud but just right to complement a chill coffee shop vibe. "A" was friendly and patient as shared with her this was my first visit. As I browsed thru the coffee menu before making my selection I noticed more costumes coming in. I ordered a medium sized Americano which is $3.75 but I requested to add some hazelnut creamer as well as some almond milk which totaled out to $4.75 which was quite exceptional to me. She told me they actually have a drink on the menu called the Shakerato that was literally exactly what I had been customizing--and it was cheaper! I couldn't believe no one had mentioned it before. I really appreciated her looking out for me instead of just ringing up the more expensive modified drink. On top of that, I ordered a breakfast burrito and went out to my car to wait because it was pretty busy inside. When I came back, she was actually outside looking for me with my drink and burrito in her hands. That was such a thoughtful touch and definitely wasn't something she had to do. It's little things like that that make people want to come back. She was so kind, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond. She even provided the receipt for me so I wouldn't forget what the name of this drink was with the cost! (Which she hand wrote) Customer service like that is hard to find these days, and she made my whole morning. I should have known when I asked her if they had ice coffee, she said yes and responded with we can make you an ice Americano, which it's not the same. However, I decided to order an ice Americano. By the time, when my order comes out, I take it to my car and start drinking it, I started sipping my coffee, not realizing that I had coffee grounds inside, I was already late to work, so I did not want to go back or to make any fuss about it. Which couple hours later I just wanted to call the store to ask them if they can remake it or if there's anything that can do, they do not say anything about that and not acknowledge that my coffee was pretty much coffee grounds, and water. Which I was very sympathetic and told them I don't know if they calibrated the machine in the morning because I can in the morning. At the end of the story, she said thank you for letting us that our machine is not calibrated and she said goodbye. I really like this place I like the vibe I like the small family Business own. but if I'm gonna receive a terrible coffee order with a side of terrible customer service it's not worth driving here. Usually my go-to stop in Long Beach for coffee because it's super convenient to get to, but parking can be tough!
