I've had 2 experiences in the last two weeks. I swore I wouldn't go back after the first. My 1 yr old granddaughter has been having a lot of ear infections. I picked her up from Daycare to take her to Children's Medical across from our McDonald's in Macclenny. She was hungry and thirsty by the time I left there so I took her over there in her stroller to get her something to eat and drink. I ordered on the kiosk. Several people after I ordered received their food. My granddaughter was getting very fussy so I TRIED to get someone's attention to find out what was the hold up. After being ignored for several more minutes and my granddaughter getting more fussy by the minute, I walked out. Thank God I had some water in the car. I'll not go into the service and the 15 minutes in the drive through this morning. Let's just say, they need to take some tips from the McDonald's in Whitehouse off interstate 10. I don't think I've been able to order a McFlurry in over a year. The fries are salted probably 1/16th of the time. And the last 2 times I've gotten a burger from this place it's been raw in the middle. Horrible service. Went through the drive thru to grab a 10 piece, fries and an Iced tee. Well, took 15 minutes to get it since the serivce was slower than molasses in January. This McDonald's is definitely almost always hit or miss. They go through spells of good and bad. I guess it's a management issue. Today was a miss. When I ordered a Big Mac with no bun, but extra mac sauce and lettuce INSTEAD, I got charged for the extra sauce and lettuce, after she said, "I got you." It looked like they shook the box before they put it in the bag. When I told the cashier I can't have wheat, she said they could put it on a regular bun, lol. I had to explain to her what gluten is. Apparently, these restaurant employees are not very knowledgeable about food allergens. I also ordered two Happy Meals. When she asked if we wanted apples or extra fries and I told her apples, she told me they didn't have any apples, lol. Then at the next window, there was only a small fry bag in each Happy Meal. When I mentioned they were supposed to have extra fries, three people shouted from the front counter, "That IS extra fries!" A small fry is what a Happy Meal had in the '80s! How is that extra fries? However, they did give us the extra fries, but only after SHOUTING at me. The young lady was new but friendly. Unfortunately, other employees were not setting a very good example for her. My experience started when I walked into the bathroom to find urine all over the floor. Fry oil was very very old with burnt pieces coating my fries. Lunch menu just started and burgers were cold. Food took about 20 mins to come out, you guess it... cold, and all we ordered was a happy meal and 2 double cheeseburgers with a large fry. Look, I get it, it's McDonald's. I don't expect the food to be very good or the service to be top-notch, you get what you pay for. That's not to say that there can't be professional people or decent food from a fast food restaurant. I've even worked at one in the past and I know that people can provide decent service and semi-quality food. You get neither at this establishment. Took the grandkids there today to get happy meals as a treat and got something for myself. It took 20 minutes to get uncooked fries and limp burgers. The manager could not have been more overwhelmed even though there was hardly any customers. I live in Macclenny. Been here many times. They never fail to disappointment me. I blame myself for continuing to go back. Today they said " we have no large size fries". Since I just dowloaded the app I wanted to use the free large fries coupon. How is it possible to not have large fries? Couldn't use the app coupon and purchased two medium undercooked fries for $5 something. When I got home and opened my bag , I received two "medium" fries in large size containers. We've only been to this McDonald's once. Stopped here early in the morning (around 6:30-7:00am?) on a Tuesday while we were on the way to Mississippi for the birth of our granddaughter. Since we were in a huge hurry because our daughter was in labour, I'm glad we didn't have the problems of slow service as it seems like every one else has had that's written a review. I got an egg mcmuffin combo (w/ hashbrown and soda) and the hubby got two sausage biscuits. Our order was correct and the food was hot. We even had napkins in the bag. It took less than 5 minutes and we were back on the interstate heading to Mississippi. Service for us was quick and the girl at the window was smiling and friendly. If we're in the area again and want Mickey D's, I hope our second visit will be as good as the first one. read more

It took over 15 minutes to receive my order of 2 cheese burgers, 1 hamburger, and 1 large French fry, not a hard order. I could have driven to Lake City in the amount of time I had to wait. Everyone was waiting. When someone received an order, they turned to the rest of us and said, "Good luck!" There was plenty of staff, just not used efficiently. After all that time, my cheese burgers were luke warm.
