Came here on a Monday night at around 7:30pm after a 3.5 hour drive. Nothing else was opened! I guess people in Vermont rest early! Anyway, the food was typical. Clearly the place was short staffed. I placed the order on the touch board and took a number to my table as instructed. No one brought the food to me. I ended up going to the counter to pick up my food, which I had no problem doing anyway. Instead of a small coke and a medium orange juice, I was given 2 small coke. Luckily I was able to let the manager knew of the situation, and he replaced the medium OJ with a large one. So if you patronize this location, just don't bother to take a number. Management here has it all backwards: they spent a bunch of money on renovations to put in a two-window, two-lane drive-thru, but still won't pay what it takes to staff the place sufficiently. The result is two slow lanes instead of one. The same girl was apparently taking orders from both lanes, and only one window was open. Most people I know get McDonald's more for the "fast" than for the "food," and I routinely see cars pull out of the drive-thru lane, cutting their losses. Management - please pay your people a few more bucks an hour and you'll pocket far more return on the investment you just sunk into those renovations. I was recently the only customer at the place. I waited at the window for 19 minutes after I paid while the three dudes inside played graba$$. Got my food which was wrong and they apparently thought it would be funny to also include a McNuggets box full of mayonnaise with my order. I'm sorry but it was awful. The drink station was so dirty I didn't get my drink. The whole place needs some encouragement and hygiene. Very dissatisfied. Couldn't even eat my burger. While I was there I witnessed them mess up two other orders. The staff could do better, I think if they were trained better. They seemed capable, but very unmotivated. Absolutely the worst experience. I visited on 1/20/2020 and the place was freezing cold even with a vest on. The Big Mack I ordered was the worst ever. It was just a mess. I give this 2.5 stars because you have several 5 star employees mixed in with 1 star co workers and owners. I went through the drive thru on 10/8/18 and paid with my credit card. The total was $6.48. My bank log indicated a total of $6.68. I asked for a credit on-line. Today I see that my bank log indicates both debits of $6.68 as before PLUS a debit of $6.48! This McDonald's in Manchester Vermont is way too expensive for most retired people on a budget. I have never written a restaurant review before. I am doing it now because I hope it will bring some attention and maybe some help to our local McDonalds. The restaurant is absolutely filthy, floors, doors, countertops.... It is the slowest McDonalds, consistently that I've ever been to. The last time we were there It seemed that the air conditioning was not working, I don't know how the employees stood the heat! Well, perhaps that is part of the reason that a fight took place between two of the male employees, an awful fight, just short of becoming physical! This was a terrible thing to see, especially because there were several children witnessing the whole thing. Sad. I will never go there again. read more

I went through the drive-thru around 4pm on 10/1/15. Order was taken politely,efficiently and correctly. 4 cars ahead of me but the line moved quickly. The buttermilk crunchy chicken sandwich was hot and fresh,fries were hot,if not a little salty. Diet coke was cold and well iced. Worked for the Arches 20 yrs. ago. I have no skin in this. I wish I could rate this place lower. I never look forward to eating McDonald's food. It's always because I am in a rush and don't have tome to wait for some non-horrible food. I travel for work and have resorted to McDonald's in almost every state - and this location is the worst one I have ever been to. If this place moved any slower, they would actually be in reverse. If I pull up to the drive through speaker, there is generally a 1 to 2 minute delay before I'm greeted. About 50% of the time, that voice is asking me to wait for them to come back and take my order. At any other McDonald's I would have completed my entire transaction and been on my way in less time than I wait for a greeting at this one, which entirely cancels any reason to eat this garbage food. Go right up the street to Cilantro instead. They are the fastest food in town by far and the food there is prepared fresh. read more

The McDonald's employees at the Manchester Center, VT location go above and beyond and truly care about their customers. Our 10 year old son, Noah, has autism. He loves McDonald's French fries. Sometimes he goes inside to get them and eats there, others we go through the drive thru. Noah is a very special young man who touches the hearts of many of the people he has contact with. This is especially true of one very special, kind young lady who works there, Meghan. She always speaks to Noah and goes above and beyond to make him feel special. She recently purchased a happy meal toy for Noah, one that she knows he would love, with her own money and gave it to him for Christmas. The manager and staff have given Noah a Christmas card with a card for some free French fries. Noah has even recently started placing his own order and paying for it himself. This is huge progression for him and we feel it wouldn't be happening if it weren't for the wonderful staff there. In this world of discontent, it is heart warming to know there are some truly wonderful, caring people out there! The Treat family thanks each and every one of you! read more
