We had no idea Colburn Cafe was attached to a bookstore! We went to the bookstore first and then exited and entered Colburn's....only to see that we could walk back into the library from the cafe! It was a very cool experience. Anyway, the coffee was excellent! We ordered one of the listed specials, a maple cardamom iced latte with oat milk and no sugar. I was surprised how delicious the latte tasted. You could taste the maple and cardamom and the best part was it wasn't an added mix. You didn't have to worry about any added sugars etc. Come here for the fun banter with the servers and cashier staff at the very least. You won't be disappointed :)

Literally could not stop swooning over this adorable place. Beautiful display of books, quaint sitting area inside with picnic tables outside. Attached to a bookstore?! So perfect. My drink was perfection! Staff was warm and friendly.

Colburn is kinda like the coffee shop I always wanted to open up. A cute little cafe tucked inside a space with lots of books to cozy up in for a few hours. Apparently I had a good idea because Colburn is hopping. We popped in for a small bite on our visit to Manchester and the line to order rarely slowed down while I waited a good 15 minutes for my stuff. How can I penalize them for being popular though right?! And the pumpkin muffin and latte were very tasty ta boot. At first I was a little concerned we wouldn't be able to stay and enjoy our loot but luckily my husband went looking for bathrooms and found places to eat all through out Northshire bookstore so we were able to snag a delightful table near a window among the books and enjoy a lovely afternoon snack.

The bookstore is the best, the coffee shop is mediocre. I got a cold brew that tasted more like a weak ice coffee.

I was excited to find this cafe attached to Northshire Bookstore so I could grab a latte to sip while I browsed through the store.

I don't know if it's a consignment shop/restaurant but it really makes the vibe fun and different. We got two apps to split as we weren't too hungry and there was also only one vegan entree and I am not a mushroom and eggplant fan. The Ezme was so delicious and the fresh baked pita was as perfect! The hummus we got warm, which I'd never had before but it was also very very good, although the burst of flavor in the Ezme definitely overshadowed the hummus. The only reason for 4 stars is the server seemed to have forgotten about us. We never received any plates or napkins and we both ran out of water and were waiting to get some more. Everyone was very very friendly but that took the overall experience down just a notch.

Even the table you eat at, the chair you sit on, or the cushion you lean on can be purchased. The whole atmosphere is incredibly distinctive and inspiring. Our favorites so far are the Konya kebab, the güveç, the köfte, and the Anatolian hummus. Anything that comes out of their wood-fired oven is absolutely delicious. The flavors are rich, authentic, and consistently great. The ambiance is warm and welcoming -- it truly makes you feel at home. If you happen to meet the owner, you're in for a wonderful conversation as well. Also, very close by there's a charming little book house that feels like it came straight out of an old movie. Definitely worth stopping by while you're in the area.

Everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and consistently well-prepared. This is the kind of place that makes you want to keep coming back. In fact, my only regret is that we didn't grab one of their pies to take home with us. Seating is limited, with a small patio area, a few outdoor tables, and only a handful of seats inside, but that's part of its charm. It's clearly designed as more of a grab-and-go spot or a place to enjoy a leisurely morning outdoors rather than a traditional sit-down restaurant. Even when the line stretched out the door, it moved surprisingly fast. The staff remained friendly, patient, and welcoming, never making guests feel rushed despite the steady stream of customers. Great food, great coffee, and genuinely pleasant service made this one of our favorite finds of the trip. We would absolutely make it a regular stop on future visits

I needed some cannolis and looked up online local bakeries…read more lake George was closed so while I was in Saratoga I searched and found Ms Londons Took the chance, in winter sometimes I worry bc it's sort of off-season but I stopped by and luckily they did have them! It was for a birthday I made cannoli cake but didn't want to make the actual cannolis to save time but wanted a higher quality version than price chopper I also got a latte and it was very good- nice and hot (some places they're kinda cooler) The service was great a woman with short brown hair helped me & made the latte. It was a very cute cafe /bakery and idk if they make their desserts but if they do- great job! Im happy either way and the birthday boy said the cannolis were perfect.

This is a tragedy. And that is not a word I use lightly either…read more What kind of person buys a gem like Mrs. London's and doesn't take the time to learn the recipes, master the craft, and maintain the standards of what was once arguably the best boulangerie and patisserie in America? Seriously, there is someone here to blame. What is their name? I want to know. Sure, it's not a civil or criminal offense. But it's a crime against food. It's a crime against the people of Saratoga Springs. And it's just plane offensive. I regret if anyone was driven to try Mrs. London's based on my previous glowing reviews. I am so sorry. I had no idea. But I was just there this morning. I gazed into the pastry case at the croissants, and my heart sank. I felt sick. The croissants looked like something you would see in an airport. I think the croissants at Costco might be better. These were flat, flabby, and pale things. Far from the perfect, golden, flaky, structured, glistening beauties of the past. And this isn't about fond recollections. I have receipts. Photos from the past and pictures of the present. It's night and day. If the new owners aren't going to preserve Mrs. London's food, they should have the decency to put someone else's name on the joint. I too asked about the breads, and was told "their baker retired". Fortunately, Michael London taught other people to bake amazing artisan bread, and his legacy lives on elsewhere. Unfortunately, nobody at the shop bearing his name bothered to pick up the torch. What a shame. It is so sad. I am literally heart broken. This was one of my favorite bakeries in the country. I went out of my way to make a special stop in my limited time passing through the region. But I suppose nothing lasts forever, and this is a valuable reminder of that unfortunate fact. My days visiting Mrs. London's are over. I can no longer recommend it in good conscience. Perhaps the hot chocolate is still good, and the decor is still lovely. However, if you look closely at the glowing reviews, they all point back to a time that has now sadly passed.
