Took a long time for them to take our order and serve the order which was only one item. Got the honey banana smoothie which didn't taste much honey. Overall: I went to this small cafe with my parents. It seems to primarily cater to the breakfast crowd, but they have lunch as well. It's a decent option if you want a quick bite in the fast casual category. Food: 3 Service: 3 Value: 4 Atmosphere: 2 Food: I got the bbq chicken melt. It's a panini with grilled chicken and bbq sauce. Taste wise it was pretty good, but the sauce made the bread very soggy and it sort of fell apart. Service: This place is all counter service. Staff is friendly but unremarkable either way. Value: Each of the sandwiches is priced around $10. Not bad for as much food as you get. Atmosphere: There were only 5 tables for two people. Great bagels and cream cheese selection. Nice sandwiches as well. They carry Gluten Free so that's a big plus. Average "retail bar" service and ambiance is mostly take out, but sitting on the side with the river flowing next to you (albeit through the windows) is still nice. Food is tasty. That's the end. Parking is horrible. There is simply not enough spots during lunch rush hour. I ended up parked my car at the empty store next door that had no parking signs all around. I left my friend in the car just in case. When I walked inside, there were a lot of people as expected. I walked up to the cashier, ready to give them my 6 different order numbers. Instead she said I just need to give her the first names of all orders. Fine. Once I did that she told me to check the shelves in the back. When several orders were missing I waited and waited. No one brought the food to the shelf. I had to pick up the food from the counter. Also, most take-out places have utensils and napkins in the bag already. I did not know they did not put anything in them until I arrived back at the horse show. The lead woman is nasty. As an out of town visitor, I am not sure this attitude will bring me back. Maybe they are so busy already that they did not want more business. Shame. read more

I've picked up bagels here many times. Went with my kids over the weekend and experienced disengaged staff weirdly breaking down shipping boxes behind the counter, no handwashing, wiping hands on clothes, forgot half our our order.... waited twenty minutes for half our bagels. Sometimes great, sometimes you don't get what you ordered. Weekends are especially busy, the wait generality isn't too long but I find that's when I've had my ordered wrong pretty consistently - but when it's correct it's fantastic. It's a good spot to sit and eat when there's space. read more

Service took forever worried only about online orders sat there as the only in house order for 30 minutes was called a bitch by one of the workers with dark hair would only recommend ordering online if you want to go there otherwise forget it because you'll be sitting there 30-40 minutes in an empty room watching them do online orders and when you say something they tell you to basically get over it that they do them in order all though I stood there watching them continuously taking online orders and putting them infront of in house.... Congrats! You just lost my business. Which is a shame because this was my return trip from April, and also I ordered this morning and came back again for a lunch takeout. I'll be in Manchester weekly for work for the next 6 weeks. So that's approximately 8-10 visits that I would have made purchases given I had been looking forward to this place. Instead, yesterday, you refused to let me order bc I had my dog with me. It was my second visit for the day. Meaning I ordered $15 worth of breakfast food and had returned for lunch. Common sense would be to offer to send 1 of any of the 4-5 people behind the counter out to take my order outside. Since I mentioned I just wanted a takeout order. Instead you just insisted that the health inspector won't allow dogs inside. Had you problem-solved and cared enough to be kind, you would have realized that: . 1. It's a certified service animal (complete with paperwork and flies everywhere with me) but you were so quick to shut it down I didn't bother and 2. I guess business is so good that you don't need to accommodate your customers by going the distance. Truly a shame as I've told so many people at the horse show and around how much I loved my egg sandwich. But not enough to deal with that kind of crappy behavior and now my story will be quite different when I discuss your business.. I'm born and raised in Vermont, in the Manchester area and have been going to Bagel Works ever since I was little. I have always loved it, always had a good experience up until the last two years. You walk in and none of the workers even look like they know what they're doing. We waited 30-40 minutes for two simple bagels and they couldn't even get that right, completely messed up the order because apparently they can't read a ticket. And this is the 4th time this has happened in a row. Not only are they messing up in house orders but the mobile orders too, that you pay IN ADVANCE FOR. If you can't handle in house orders and to go orders, your business shouldn't be doing it. All the workers are lazy and rude and nobody cares enough to make sure your order is complete or correct. It hurts me to write this because I've been loyal to bagel works for the longest time, but now that I've had the amount of bad experiences I've had, I can't help but say something. I have been a long time customer. I work in town so it was convenient. But my order is consistently wrong and when I request what I ordered, they are rude. We've now been to this location twice on two separate trips to Manchester. Both times the customer service wasn't great - the woman at the counter was not very friendly and the service was slow. We had to wait a bit to get our food. The bagel sandwich and burrito were average. I wished the sandwich had more flavor but it did the trick for an easy breakfast.
