Consider the food, service ambiance morning noon and night terrible terrible terrible. I live here in Mathis! They always always mess up your order regardless. They're morning coffee is Always cold. We stopped by for a quick bite on our road trip. It was the worst experience I've had at a McDonald's. The employees were rude. They did not acknowledge the guests or attempt to help anyone. I was waiting at the counter for at least ten minutes before someone said they would take my order in a minute and then they didn't come back so I ended up ordering from the kiosk. An employee repeatedly yelled out table numbers instead of brining it to the table 5 feet away and did not place empty fountain cups on the tray that guests had ordered. They did not make drinks for any of the orders for myself or the other customers. Employees were on their phone texting in the kitchen and talking to each other about non work topics while guests were still waiting for their food. They called my order number which was for a 10 pc nuggets, sauce, one shake and one McFlurry. When they called that it was ready there was only the nuggets in a bag. No drinks. No sauce. It took ten minutes to get the attention of an employee to alert them that I needed my drinks and sauce still. When we finally got the drinks the shake was not blended. What was supposed to be fast food turned into waiting over twenty minutes for three simple menu items. Do not go here. read more

I never leave reviews but i just had to say something about this McDonald's! This place was filthy and disgusting. As soon as me and my baby walked in the girl at the front was yelling at a customer how she couldn't give a food tray as we walked around balled up trash on the floors. Never had any bad experiences here the times my family and I have stopped here on the way to Rockport, but nothing that would make it stand out either. This time though they were having water problems. The McDonalds, as well as the convenience store next door had no drinks available - something dealing with the "boiled water" according to the sign on the McD drink dispenser. The service was on the slow side considering others in the restaurant had gotten their meals. But the order was right, so I give that to them. read more

Went to Lake Corpus Christi for a camping trip with the family. We were hungry so we decided to go to the near by McDonald's. It was different. Drive thru was okay, paying window was entertaining until we were told they didn't have an item, 3 strawberry crémé pies which was understandable. We subbed for another item which was available. Went to the pick up window got most of our food. We were missing subbed item and an order of 10 piece nuggets. Then we were told to park in front. Parking is a headache, kind of understandable since the McDonald's is joined with a convenience store. So we waited 10 minutes to get subbed item, 4 cookies. We checked all the bags and were missing the cookies. So I got off and got a snarky smart arse remark. "Oh the cookies are in the nuggets box." So I double checked, sure enough our cookies were in the nuggets box. But where were the nuggets? I walk back in and tell the cashier we "thought we got the nuggets in the box, so the cookies are in the box where are the nuggets?" Cashier walks out back and magically brings nuggets in a bag. After getting back to my vehicle, I realized a lot of people were going inside with their receipts. This place has toxic employees, not sure why it took so long to get nuggets when they were bagged? McDonald's does do mistakes but are acknowledged by management and fixed this McDonald's is not like those, cashier had to fix it but with a "I don't wanna be here" attitude with eye rolls and sighing. read more

My boyfriend and I recently were on our way to South Padre Island, and we made a quick food stop here. We went through the drive-thru, and a woman who tried her best to speak good English took our order. I ordered the Angus Bacon and Cheese burger and was satisfied with the taste of the meat, slightly crunchy pickles and onions, topped off by melted cheese, lettuce, and ketchup. The fries were hot, perfectly salty, and flavorful with each crispy bite. The Dr. Pepper was only slightly diluted with ice but still drinkable. We almost left without an order of fries, but the lady at the window quickly remedied the situation. We came hungry and left happily satiating our hunger pangs. read more

Ordered two sausage egg McMuffins and waited in the drive-thru line for an hour. I could've driven to San Antonio in the time it took them to make two breakfast sandwiches. SLOWEST MCDONALD'S IN AMERICA. When we got our sandwiches, they didn't even have the signature round fried eggs. Instead, they schlopped on the folded-over fake eggs that they use for their biscuits. The final insult was that they gave us French fries instead of hash browns. When my wife went in to complain about the wrong eggs, she was told that they stopped making hash browns at 10:30 am. When my wife pointed out that we placed our order at the speaker it was BEFORE 10 am and that when we paid at the first window it was 10:15 am, the manager's answer was sorry, "Breakfast service is over." Then the manager and workers looked at my wife like she was a spoiled lunatic. Yes, we think it's CRAZY that a McDonalds can't construct their No. 1-selling breakfast sandwich properly and within under an hour. Very busy place! Cashier was hustling and hadn't been able to make guy his coffee.. Deanne (or Deanna) very loudly got sarcastic with cashier and snapped at her, cashier explained she was doing everything..Deanne snapped back and said "WE ALL ARE DOING EVERYTHING" .. I observed 3 including Deanne at the fry station at one point when front was slammed. I called whom I asked her name DEANNE over and said "hey.. she was really busy and as a customer me hearing you snap at her is unappreciated. The guy got his coffee, everything worked out so chill on her a bit. Life is short to not be happy" I left. Another customer came out several min later, someone I do not know and told me how the girl in the green shirt (Deanne) was talking real trash about me. He said "Omg..i can't believe what she was saying..i was thinking like wow this girl is so rude!" I thanked him and went back in to speak with mgr. About this random stranger telling me this and how the cashier (who works very well under pressure) got snapped at by her. The mgr didn't seem to really care just to express and repeat "I didn't hear anything. I was over there." (and pointed to some random place) To the corporation of McDonalds.. this girl Deanne needs customer service and coworker training!
