This is the nearest McDonald's to me, and - compared to others - it's nice. I mean, it's a McDonald's, so there aren't going to be a ton of differences (menu, etc). This location is typically clean, but what sets it apart is the decor - and old timey rock-and-roll vibe with hints of Elvis and James Dean throughout the dining area. Service is usually friendly, and accuracy (while spotty at any McD's) is usually good. Now, don't get me wrong - "four stars" for a McDonald's doesn't put this on par with fancy restaurants with the same rating from me. This is "a four star McDonald's" - compared to other McDonalds. Normally stop here as it is convenient, but the last few weeks the consistently has declined. Not expecting gourmet dining but at the very least warm and somewhat fresh and get what I ordered. In a hurry today going through the drive thru and got my usual breakfast fast sausage, egg and bagel meal with a Diet Coke light ice. Very slow line despite only 4-5 cars. When I opened my bag at my destination I found a bacon, not sausage bagel, missing the hash browns and a lot of ice in the drink. Of course no napkins and no straw. Checked the bill and it was correct. Last week it was ice cold hash browns and at another visit, my favorite item, fries were inedible. This McDonalds is summed up in 2 words: HOT MESS. 1. Drive Thru - The drive thru has to be the slowest in all of Dane County. I recently went there to order 2 drinks...well there was one car ahead of me that must have ordered a large order, because I waited over 10 minutes (before finally pulling away and giving up). The person behind me did the exact same thing. 2. Quality - I ordered a Quarter Pounder a few weeks ago, received my order with COLD fries and meat that was undercooked (so undercooked it was RED in the center and also COLD. I had to go back up to the front to request a new one and the employee said "Oh you will need to ask for it well done". 3. Inside - This particular McDonald's is almost always closed for some sort of "maintenance" problem (usually after 7pm at night). If it's not closed for a problem, the inside is dirty and usually you can find bits and pieces of food laying about. 4. Employees - NEVER ENOUGH of them to do the job and the amount of people that are coming in. Between having to wait for my food for over 10 minutes or even waiting longer to take my order..they always seem to be scrambling. Avoid this particular McDonald's. read more

Drive thru. They get my order wrong. They bring my correct sandwich but forget my coffees and OJ. I finally get my stuff and head home to the family. Get home and no straw for OJ. The food is old. Hash browns are not cooked good and soggy. The oatmeal's are hard and cannot be eaten. The frys, the 1/4pounder, the sandwiches.....everything was nasty. I call the store and they expect me to pack everything up after it's been spread across my counter and drive it all back to them so they can remake it again. It"s standard McDonald's food, but the retro, 50's inspired decor is fun. If you don't typically like McDonald's this location won't change your mind. However, if you are a McD's fan and you have time to eat inside, I recommend coming here for the unique atmosphere. read more

As the only thing open 24/7 by the Marriott we were staying in, this was our go-to location. The biggest takeaway was that there were fruit slushees at this particular location for the summer. Let me start by saying they were so good that we ordered them literally twice a day before we left for the day and when we came back. The food at this McDonald's is also above average. The fries were always fresh, the nuggets always crispy, and the burgers always on point. The aesthetic of this McDonald's is also quite unique, with a cool 50s theme going on and such. I give it 3 stars for two reasons, however. The first is the fact that we ordered the slushees on 6 different occasions and the order was done wrong half the time. The second was that I've never waited such a long time at any McDonald's. The food is good, but I would like it to come faster than it does here. read more

This was a very dissatisfying experience. It was over 20 minutes of waiting to get my to go food. Although the staff was friendly, they were so so slow getting a simple #1 Big Mac meal prepared. I only had 3 customers in front of me. I listened as other customers complained that they were waited 5-10 minutes just to place an order with nobody in line in front of them. The counter was just left unattended. Now for the food: The fries were over-cooked and cold. The bun on my burger was dry and stale. The amount of times i've been through this drive thru and got the wrong sauce is infuriating. I prefer honey with my mcnuggets and literally every time I order I make sure I say PLAIN HONEY PACKETS. When I finally get the food after the at least 20 minute wait (bc this mcdonald's is the slowest in the nation) I always try to remember to double check the bag because they make frequent mistakes and when I do I always have to ask for normal honey packets because somehow every. single. time. I get honey mustard. sorry but nobody likes honey mustard and i'm so done with having to either check my bag and trade every single time I get food or forgetting to check and coming home to pure disappointment because I just wasted money on a meal that isn't even worth it without the honey.
