    Tender and sauce

Great that they have the option of machines or in person to order. We used the machine and got a couple tenders and sauce. The food was ready in under 3 minutes. Positive reviews for how efficient this was. However, I don't really get what all the hype for the food is. The tenders didn't really have any seasoning, and adding black pepper did wonders. Definitely need the sauce, which was fine.

I stopped by to have a quick lunch. The place was spacious. There was a good crowd as well. The menu was very simple. I went for a chicken finger sandwich. Essentially its 3 chicken fingers kept between a bun. Flavor was low. They dont sell any other flavor of chicken wings. Lemonade goes well with chicken sandwich.

Raising Cane's always does a great job with the taste of their food, and this location was no exception. The chicken fingers were delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the customer care was excellent. The staff was friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. However, I'm giving this location four stars because the chicken fingers were noticeably smaller than what we're used to. We've been to many Raising Cane's locations, and for some strange reason, this one had the smallest chicken fingers. Maybe we just got unlucky this time. Overall, it was still a solid experience, and we'll likely be back!

It's good and it hits the spot sometimes, but I have definitely had better Cane's experiences. I'm attributing it to being on State St. and just riddled with college kids but the cashiers just did not know what they were doing and the toast was not toasted on one side. Still good chicken though and nothing beats Cane's sauce ‍

    Loved the disco balls

My first time here, and was just glad that the line wasn't out the door! Even though there was only one checkout open, she did an awesome job and the line moved fairly quickly. I ordered the box that included four tenders, special sauce, fries, coleslaw and garlic bread plus a drink. The chicken tenders are delicious A++++++. French fries were a bit soggy and not salted enough. I really didn't care for the coleslaw, it seemed sour to me. But the chicken made up for both of those items!! They could use some more help cleaning up tables and such. But I realize it's hard to hire people.

3 Fingers combo (3 chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast, Canes sauce)

Order: 3 tender combo Really nice location for my first try of Raising Canes. Great local theme - featuring Wisconsin and especially UW greats, made me feel right at home! Service was quick and easy - line moved fast and I got my food within 10 minutes. Food itself was fresh and hot. Canes sauce is the real deal!! Absolutely delicious and carries the menu - but the fries and chicken just absolutely had the most minimal seasoning. Not a bad portion for this fast food price - definitely filling and quality, just immensely lacking in flavor.

WOW! If you haven't given this place a try yet you should! Quick, fast, and friendly service. The chicken tenders were so fresh and perfectly battered. After we were done eating the manager came around and asked us how everything was and saw we hadn't eaten our coleslaw. He let us know that can be subbed out for extra fries or another piece of garlic toast! SCORE. He brought us extra right then. The disco balls are a nice touch to the overall bright interior! Will definitely be back :)

    "Caniac" meal

Stopped at Cane's while driving through Madison at the request of my kids. This location is right on State street. Simple menu of tenders and fries in different sizes. I ordered the "Caniac" meal. 6 six tenders with crinkle fries, garlic bread and cole slaw. The tenders are prepared to order. They were hot and crispy. The fries were well seasoned, and the garlic bread was nicely browned and had good buttery garlic flavor. The coleslaw was average. I also received 2 cups of Cane sauce which complimented the tenders as well as the fries. I chose lemonade for my drink. They also had coke products. Nice size dining area. Gender neutral bathrooms. Parking garage available about a block away. I will return if in the Madison area.

Don't try to drive to this location. There is no parking. It's on a walking mall in a downtown area.

I didn't know what to expect as I didn't take the time to check it out. When we walked into the restaurant I reality is a fast food chain. This particular restaurant is in what use to be a Hardies. It had a cool decor and we were welcomed upon entry. As we were looking o er the order board the cashier asked us if this was our first time and replied yes. He explained the spice levels and what we could substitute for sides etc. We both ordered the #3 with cheesy fries and a drink. Our meal included a chicken slider that had coleslaw and a sauce. It was more of a sandwich than slider, and another large piece of chicken that was like a half of a breast that laid on top of a piece of white bread. Dill pickle slices, a side of sauce and the cheesy fries rounded out the meal. The sandwich was delicious with the combo of coleslaw and sauce. The larger piece of chicken was surprisingly very tender and moist. The French fries were ok. If I were to go back I would skip the cheese topping. We both jumped in the ice tea as they had unsweetened, sweet, raspberry and peach. We got the sweet tea and it was pretty weak. We head south every winter and usually if I get sweet tea I will mix a little unsweetened tea into it. This sweet tea was ok with the sweetness for me but it seemed really watered down. I'm not one for fast food but I would stop back here for a piece of chicken or take out a bucket. I'm not sure how they make their chicken but it had a dry rub over a light texture, thinking the chicken may be deep fried and then Tossed in the dry rub. Our rub was medium heat. It was borderline spicy enough but next time we may try the next step in the hot spice.

The place is enormous, or at least it feels that way. The ceiling stretches overhead, the floor goes on forever, and there's no hostess stand in sight. No one is waiting to greet you. Instead, you're left to figure out the system yourself. Fortunately, the ceiling signs seem to know where you're going. Everything about the place says Chicago hot dog emporium. It isn't fancy, and it certainly isn't trying to be. No linen napkins, no mysterious foam, no server appearing with a dramatic explanation of the appetizer. Just laminated menus, stainless steel, bright signs, yellow mustard, and the reassuring promise of a hot dog piled high with enough toppings to require a little structural engineering. At the register, the cashier looks up with the blank, mildly haunted expression of someone who has been stationed there to process transactions, not thoughts. You ask a question. They stare. Not rudely. Not helpfully. Just a long, silent look that suggests your question has been received but will not be processed at this time. Your better off just ordering your food and hoping for the best. They do serve a crispy fried chicken sandwich with a sauce so aggressively spicy it feels less like a condiment and more like a personal attack. The first bite is delicious. The second begins the paralysis of your taste buds. By the third, you're realizing that requesting the sauce on the side was a good move. In hindsight, I probably should have done my homework and ordered the hot dog--the thing this place is actually famous for. Instead, I saw "spicy chicken sandwich" and made the classic mistake of assuming I knew better than a restaurant built around one very specific food.

Let down with this location.

Food? life-changing fried chicken, cheese curds, and cocktails that I'm still not over. Environment? somehow cozy and cool at the same time. And honestly, that's probably why it's so special. It feels deeply Madison in the best way- intentional, high quality, and focused on doing their thing really, really well. Also, shoutout to Ian, the manager, who was amazing and made an already great experience even better with trinkets! If I were to return and, in all seriousness, I would if others in the group persisted; I would order the chicken tenders where you are able to define where the chicken begins and the batter ends.
