I'm not one to typically leave such a negative review but all of my experiences at this location have been so bad I can't believe how this location is still up and running. Not even exaggerating, every single time I go through the drive through and there's more than one car waiting for food, I get someone else's order. Just now I waited for well over 10min and was given the wrong order so I went inside to find out where mine was only to learn that they had given it to some random person like 10min ago. Not to mention on my way in some other dude at the drive through said "they mess up your order too?? They're just handing out random orders to people I'm still waiting on mine and I've been here 15+min". Please PLEASE for the love of god do some extra training at this location. Just grabbed a burger from this Culver's. As I was entering the parking lot it occurred to me it's been at least 10yrs since my last visit to this location. But I can imagine after tonight's lightening fast trip thru the drive through and the exceptional looking/tasting burger I'll be back much more often. As I was sitting and enjoying the sandwich (single bacon cheese dlx) I was thinking to myself that Culver's doesn't do what probably EVERY fast food burger joint does: Take a photo of a burger that LOOKS excellent, but serve burgers that might taste ok, but look like sh1t. This burger was something that could've been their POSTER model. Every item was visible and looked delicious. Every item was fresh everything HOT was HOT (or nearly) Every item that should be chill: WAS CHILL! crunchy bacon, lettuce pickles. Spot On! This is in itself is actually pretty typical. CULVERS staffs an army of kids and/or adults and they do what they are paid to do: Make quality product, clean the facility and do it while being compensated pretty well. AND the owners make BANK Go down the road to BK and it's a brand new restaurant. It's staffed by a small handful of people. None are teenagers. None are really ever busy as far as I've observed. The burgers taste good, but look pretty sad. Unlike the fabulous pictures! The OWNERS wonder why they are barely breaking even? I noticed that location (Middleton on Parmenter) has a sign stating they won't honor their corporate coupons. This tells me they are failing. The Culver's at the nearest light has 20+ cars in THE DRIVE THRU. That's the reason I chose BK. It was a tasty but flaccid unappealing excuse for an $8.00 burger, but because I.... Stopped here for the fried cheese curds! Some are yellow cheese and some are white. They came out warm and with honey mustard and a choice of other dipping sauces. The salty, crispy flavor of the batter definitely overwhelms the actual taste of the cheese. It seems pricey for the amount of cheese curds, but I enjoyed it. read more

Ran to get some frozen custard. Picked out the Brownie Batter Overload. What a joke. Get home and there were four small brownie bits. Four. No caramel at all. A pint of vanilla custard. I threw it out. There is no excuse at all for this kind of lack of quality control. Vanilla is the single most boring flavor to begin with, but to sell supposed mixes and not actually have a mix is just stupid. Not the first time this has happened. May seem like a small thing but do you really want this degree of lack of quality with your food preparation? The prices are high enough, but who wants to pay that much for plain vanilla? Wish I could give 0 stars. Horrible service and I won't eat at Culver's again. We had multiple cars behind us in drive through get food and ice cream before us. we only ordered ice cream so I don't know what the hood up was. I had to walk in to find our ice cream on the counter melting. When I asked why ours wasn't brought out to the car the manager just looked at us saying nothing like she had no idea what was going on in the restaurant. read more

I keep having the same issue with this Culver's with the cheese not melted on the burgers. I have called the manager twice before and they improved for awhile now today it's back to cold cheese again. They are missing a step somewhere. This time the pickles are really very sour as well. I go to this Culvers frequently and I like to get their Culvers deluxe burger with fries and sweetened iced tea usually. The food is fresh and hot most of the time. I like to be polite with please and thank you as I know working in these places isn't as easy as people think, especially when so young! I love their food and the vanilla shakes are so good as well! Fast, reliable service and I mostly get a genuine thank you, which is nice. I make sure to ask if they'd apply the senior discount as every little bit does count. A tip would be to look at your order before you leave as this place does get rather busy and it's easy to mix things up a little occasionally. Very satisfied customer here! This Culver's location continues to have a repeat issue - they are undercooking their burgers. The last time I was there - in 2021 - I realized after I got home that my burger was only half-cooked. I called and spoke with the manager by phone, explaining the problem. He didn't apologize, but offered to mail me a coupon for a free meal. I gave him my address, but never received the coupon. I did not post a review about that experience then because I thought it was a one-time issue, and I forgot to keep looking in my mail for the coupon. Fast-forward to today: My good friend just told me that the last two times he ordered meals at this location (within the past six months), the burgers were undercooked both times. My friend is not one to post reviews online, so I'm combining his two bad experiences with my own sub-par experience. This issue continues, which indicates staff at the Northport location don't know how to properly cook burgers. I will never eat there again - even if offered "another" free meal coupon. I'm not going to waste my time trying to give them one more chance, only to be disappointed (and possibly sickened) by their lack of cooking skills. read more

I stopped here on the way to my hometown from the airport one of the last times I was in the Madison area. I'm normally a huge fan of the Wisconsin Swiss Melt, but the one I had here was not so good. First, the sandwich was exceptionally greasy. I don't think I've ever had a patty melt-type sandwich that was that greasy in my life. Yeah, I understand this is a joint that specializes in butter burgers, but this was extreme, even for Culver's. Second, the size of the burger was pathetic. Admittedly, I've been out of Wisconsin for a few years now, so maybe my recollection of the size of Culver's burgers isn't so good, but the patty on this particular sandwich was seriously thin, and the burger came no where close to covering the bread. If you're just passing through the north side of Madison and have a sudden craving for Culver's, I'd suggest you keep going and stop at the location in Waunakee or the location near East Towne Mall, depending upon which direction you're heading. read more

I've dined in once or twice, but this location is usually a drive-thru ice cream stop for us. This location seems to be less busy than most, so we're always through the line pretty quick. On a recent visit I ordered a concrete mixer and the person who made it was very generous with the mix-ins, which is great. On the whole exactly what you'd expect from a Culver's, but for me just a bit out of the way for any sort of regular visits. read more

I enjoy this location as much as I do the east town location. Both offer great service and good food. Ordered the seasonal pumpkin spice shake (I buy this at least once every fall). Wonderfully thick, rich, pumpkiny, sweet and spicy. Real true pumpkin flavor and not shy on the spice. Love it! read more

I'm a working mom of a 5-year-old who lives on Madison's North side, and my husband's job often has him away at meetings late into the evening - so it's a safe bet that my daughter and I are grabbing dinner to "take home for a picnic" at least once a week. This Culver's is her absolute favorite. When it comes to food, Culver's is Culver's is Culver's. It's been a constant in my life from college on up, and I even worked at one for a short time, so I know the score. This one's no different in that regard; I barely have to read the menu board anymore. What sets the Northport Culver's apart for me is the service. My daughter is extremely social, and when we go through a drive-through, she likes to roll down her window and talk to the staff. She gets mixed results, depending on the stop, but this Culver's is a sure bet. When we get to the window, she'll inevitably call out, "Hi! What's your name?" She's been doing this for about a year, and I've yet to see a crew member ignore her. They engage her with a response, and usually a question back - "what's your name?" One employee in particular, Sophia, has engaged her in longer back-and-forth conversations, and even remembers when she sees us that she has in fact met my child before. I have a love/lust affair with a place that puts butter in meat, and serves different flavors of custard every day. Once went vegan for a horrifying 10 weeks -- don't do that -- and drove here to break the streak. My only complaint is this takes longer than most other Culver's. I know it's not fast food, but I find myself driving by because I don't have easy access heading West, and don't want to spend 15 minutes waiting. They're so nice here. I ordered the strawberry salad and I believe it had blue cheese or some sort of unpasteurized cheese that I know I'm not supposed to have being pregnant, and I didn't know that the strawberry salad had cheese crumble on it. I didn't want to complain, so I tried getting as much of the cheese off as I could but, there were so much! (I honestly would've loved it if I was able to have it!!) so I finally built up enough courage and spoke with one of the staff members and told them that I really want the salad but I must've not read all of the ingredients in the salad and I apologized for not paying close attention to the ingredients. I explained that I couldn't have the type of cheese on the salad and if it was okay if I was able to get the salad without the cheese. The staff member told me it was no big deal. Didn't even question me and put an order in for the strawberry salad without the cheese crumble. *sigh* I was so happy I was able to eat my dinner and was a happy camper! I love this Culver's. Staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great as always. We came here for a late dinner after flying into the airport. The staff was ready to take our order. When our meal came to the table, one of the staff members asked us if we needed anything else. At the end of our meal, the same staff member took our trash for us and wished us a nice evening and that he hoped we would be back soon. All in all, a great experience again. read more

I find myself eating here from time to time as they are close to where I work. I usually go through the drive thru and head back to the office to eat. More times than not, I find myself ordering their cashew chicken salad and if I'm feeling rebellious I'll get some cheese curds too. EVERY time I order the salad, I find myself waiting way longer than I would expect. How long does it take to heat up some chicken that was probably already pre-cooked and throw it on top of some greens? Apparently much longer than it takes to cook a burger. Other people in line behind me were receiving their meals. One instance I watched the clock and it took 9 minutes from when I paid for my order to when I received the order. THEN I got back to the office to find half of the lettuce was slimy and old. I couldn't even eat it. I went on their website to provide feedback about my experience and never heard any kind of response. It's disappointing for the North side of town. We stop at 9:30 pm to eat, and at 10:00 pm they turn off all the lights of the dining area! It was like 4 groups of different people eating at the same time.
