Eggs came out of containers into bag.
    Peggy E.

There's a reason this place is never busy. I was in a rush to go teach yesterday morning, and I forgot to make lunch/nothing for breakfast. Trying to do my best on low carb, I figured Mickeydees would be fast and efficient because, as usual, the drive thru and dining room were both empty. I ordered round eggs, sausage, and bacon. $17.00 even. NO JOKE! I was like, wait, what? This is without drinks, no hashbrowns, of course, and just eggs, sausage, and bacon! When I look in the bag, all the eggs were in the bottom of the plastic bag all sweaty and gross. It would've been cheaper for me to order breakfast sandwiches and throw away the bread myself! Or just get some yummy tacos next door at Las Palapas and throw out the tortillas. Never again, McDonald's, never again. (Especially this location.)

My lil' ones who are apparently old enough to drive and therefore not entitled to be treated w/decency!

Rude staff and dirty restaurant..... I sent my kiddos up to the counter to speak coherently and with upmost respect to the fellow teen at the counter..... yup bad idea!! I had to intercept bc the associate was literally just standing there saying nothing AT ALL AND MY 8 and 13 yr. old are taught how to annunciate and be DILIGENT WHEN SPEAKING..... and common decency should be a natural instinct but bc it is not I TRY MY BEST TO INVEST THAT EXTRA TIME TO MAKE SURE MY MILLENNIAL CHILD INTERACTS EFFICIENTLY AND RESPECTFULLY! Mind you they aren't even wearing McDonald's shirts but they were far more decent than the 3-people, including the manager John mind you, wearing and representing the McDonald's franchise. Absolutely absurd and this location isn't or hasn't been a failure in all aspects just once, but several times. I'll try to post the video of the instance where my 11 yr old who does stand at 5'9" to attempted but was rudely denied purchase of her "Halloween Coupon Voucher" bc she "WAS OBVIOUSLY OVER 18" 18..... who says or deciphers that the little power they have entitles them to TURN AWAY A CHILD UTILIZING HER HALLOWEEN VOUCHER! Be weary of this location bc not only will you be getting an attitude, you might get a side of attitude and bs$&@ with your mediocre meal. Not to sound snobby but I guess what should I expect right from a 'fast food restaurant' that constantly has an 'interesting rotating group of individuals'....... 5/23/20 And finally let me leave this last tidbit. I hate to admit it but on more than one occasion I've had to explain to my lil' one who was so concerned and sympathetically inquiring why someone "would hit the girl and why did she have so many bruises on just her neck" yup gotta love McD's. I'm not a glutton for punishment I just had an open mind, but nope my diñero and time is worth more than this place offers. :(

Wet floor , rather than clean it up they put a caution cone - WOW!

Food is always sub par. Not really fresh even when ordered made to order. Cokes always taste moldy. Ice cream tastes gross. Service is okay.

Next time I am going to order one of their specialty burgers and possible one of their shakes. We are looking forward to them opening another site off 1604 & Bitters. We will definitely be back.

Luckily they text you when the tables ready so you're free to meander around the town or sit in the ac comfort of your car on a hot Texas summer day. We shopped as long as my bladder could make it and as we went back to the restaurant at least to just use the restroom, there ere 4 spots at the bar calling our name. Of note, we prefer sitting at the bar at any joint vs at a table. It's just a different experience. Food was on point. Not too heavy on a super hot summer day when you're about to go river it up in your swimsuit. Service was amazing. And the place was so open and upscale rustic barndominium style. The line outside says it all. Definitely a come back to when in New Braunfels.

Because of that, I've recently found myself searching for family-friendly restaurants with large outdoor areas. That way, if my little one gets fussy, I can walk around with him, and we're not stuck inside worrying about disturbing other diners. Freiheit Country Store was perfect for our needs. The outdoor area is large and spacious, and the overall atmosphere is very family-friendly. It has a relaxed vibe that feels just right for families with young children. One small observation: I do wish some parents paid a little more attention to their kids. It had recently rained, and a boy was throwing rocks into a puddle, causing water and mud to splash onto my husband's back. We politely asked him to stop, but he continued, and we couldn't spot a parent nearby. As for the food, it was served quickly, arrived hot, and tasted great. No complaints there. My husband also appreciated the simple and efficient ordering process. Overall, this is a great spot to grab a bite to eat, enjoy a cold beer, and relax in a family-friendly environment. We'll definitely be back

I'd say within about 15 or 20 minutes. I think it's advertised as a 12 inch maybe, it's really only enough for one maybe two if you're a light eater, for a basic pepperoni it was about $20! They do have some type of pizza subscription, which I thought was pretty interesting if you really love their pizza and order from them often. There was live music in one of the bar areas and the guy at the bar was friendly and helpful! My biggest complaint was the lack of outdoor fans and the swarms of mosquitoes that seem to eat us alive from the moment that we sat down so we only stayed for one beer each. I had the orange creamsicle and hubby have the nitro chocolate Stout and he loved it and said it tasted much like a candy bar! Plenty of local brews on tap, and there is a different selection at each bar! Hopefully they be able to address that mosquito problem as we'd like to go back!

We had plans to get dinner elsewhere. The food was pretty good and fried to the right amount...but our order took over 30 minutes to make. We had to visit the gals at the truck a few times to ask them if our order was done, or if we were forgotten. The sweet gal taking the orders also said that they would bring it out when it was ready, but we waited a solid 30 minutes and decided to ask. I think they just forgot our order of chips and queso and fried pickles. Besides that, the experience was great. Their chips are great (I love the thicker tortilla chips!) and have a more solid crunch to them. The queso is on the lighter and thinner consistency side, which is always a refreshing texture. They definitely use a lighter cheese instead of a dark cheddar, as shown through the color of the queso. It's got a great flavor to it too without having any extra add-ins. A nice traditional queso! The fried pickles were average, but my bf is obsessed with pickles...so that was his impulse buy. Not sure if I would say this is a steady food truck that I would come back to outside of the brewery, but I'm glad it's at Guadalupe! Good choice for snacks and probably their po boys!

I love how my tator tots and fried okra are always served piping hot, like they just came out of the fryer and they haven't been sitting under a heat lamp in the back of the kitchen. And they are always so crispy - I assume they change the fryer oil frequently or they must clean it really well. I have a bone to pick with their chicken fried steak. In the land of great CFS, they shouldn't serve one that had been in the freezer a few moments earlier. In this part of the country, it's hand-breaded or nothing. Having said that, it's not bad, just not as good as it could or should be. Their club sandwich reminds me of one my grandmother used to make for me when I was a kid - perfectly toasted bread and no scrimping on the meat and cheese. Longhorn Café is more or less high quality fast food, but don't expect super quick service. Sometimes it can take 10 minutes for your order to come out. But then again, most of the time it's worth the wait.
