I am not a big fan of this place in the first place but, I also have a disease that prevents me from eating almost everything here and anything that I might be able to eat is probably cross contaminated. I know that sounds horrible but, if you're the one dealing with this disease, it is horrible. They do have a nice children's play area which is good for those times when my grandchildren want to eat at Mickey D's and want the play area. Absolutely terrible. Food is almost always terrible. Service is terrible. The owner obviously doesn't care about the customers any more than the teenagers who work there. I expect fast food places to get an order wrong at least 1 out of 10 times. After all, mistakes happen. But I expect this McDonald's to get our order wrong at least 9 out of 10 times. If not more. It's really sad. Especially when they can't get a bacon egg and cheese McGriddle right and all 4 ingredients are in the name of the item. Update: Went again yesterday (of course they messed my order up) and it reminded me to add something... This McDonald's also shows they don't care about their customers by allowing a certain situation to go on. And on. And on. Yesterday as soon as I pulled into the drive thru (and this happens frequently) with the line wrapped halfway around the building, a guy who thinks he's better than everyone else and shouldn't have to wait in line cut around about 7 other cars to cut into the outside order lane. This McDonald's is worse than the one in Knightstown, which is saying something considering that one is horrible. The employees always sound like it's a major inconvenience that you're there and half the time, they can't even manage to fix the order correctly. Ordered 4 cheeseburgers and 2 diet cokes. The cheeseburgers were correct, shockingly, but they only gave us one drink and when we said we were supposed to have two, the lady there got bitchy. Like it's so hard to pour another drink. Had to go through the drive thru twice to get the order correct because the dining room is always closed. I've also noticed if you go anywhere between 2am to 4am they say they are closed. Employees are usually rude and the last few times the food has been cold. read more

This is by far the slowest McDonalds that I have ever been to. Pulled into the drive thru at 6:44 on my way to work for breakfast and there were 7 cars in front of me. It is now 6:57 and I am still 2 cars away from the 1st window. I'm sure the sausage biscuit and coke will be the same as any other McDonalds, but the service is terrible. There are 2 employees that are standing at the first window just chatting with the cashier. Just got to the pickup window at 6:59 and the only thing ready is my lg coke. The drive through is always a 20 minute wait. This is at the McDonald's on road 3. The inside service is some what faster.

Clean and friendly staff. The play place is really nice (wish it had a door to keep the kids in though). Our food is always hot and fresh. Drive through lines can get really long, but most of the time it doesn't take long to get through the drive through. Curb side pick up isn't super fast but a nice option. You can order on your app and then it'll be ready when you get inside (which is great with kids). They even have kiosks where you can order inside instead of standing in line. This is a very clean McD. read more

I'm giving our McDonald's 4 stars. We just had an upgrade. We have 2 drive thru order lanes. I have read the other reviews borders would defeat the purpose, it's not cutting guys, people just have to stay in the line they want or it causes accidents, there is traffic that goes on the side also so it can be dangerous to switch sides. They are run by the same person. The service has improved greatly. Please give them another chance, they have been verifying orders on the brand new screens in the drive thru. Hope this helps. Since when is it legal to make someone 10 hours with no break. Staff that work there complain about how dirty the kitchen is. They are slow. We pulled to the speaker and waited for about two minutes. Nobody greeted us during that time. When they finally answered, they were rude and brisk. They stated "Order when you're ready." As if we are supposed to greet them. We pull up to the first window. They don't greet us there, they snatch the card from our hands. They talk obnoxiously loud to their coworkers with the window open, don't even look at us, then proceed to hand card back. They don't say anything, no thank you, no nothing. We say thank you and pull forward. The drink wasn't even ready at the second window. We literally only ordered a drink, and there was no one else there, and no line. Today my grandma and I went here for breakfast. We order our food. My grandma ordered the $2 mix and match - breakfast burrito and a hash brown, egg&cheese McMuffin no Canadian bacon, large sweet tea, large coke light ice. When we pulled up to pay the lady didn't read us the whole order back. We get to the window to pick up our food and the lady handed us a chocolate milk. My grandma said to her "we didn't order that" and takes our bag. I check it. There was no breakfast burrito. My grandma told the lady that she ordered a burrito but didn't receive it. The lady working the second window told us that if we wanted the burrito we had to go through the line again and pay for it. This is ridiculous. They have done this more than once. We have the receipt where it shows the mix and match. My grandma showed her the receipt and everything and it got us nowhere. My grandma asked for a refund and they told her no. We will no longer be attending this Mcdonals. read more

About what you'd expect from a McDonalds. Slow service a lot of times, order messed up, cold fries... Sometimes they get it right. I recently waited in line for 20 minutes before I got to the first window and when I asked the kid at the window, before I paid, if it was going to be another 20 minutes before I got to the second window, the idiot joked with me and said - Oh, about 15-20 minutes. When I just looked at him with a mad look he said - Just kidding. At which point I tossed my money at him, after I almost pulled out of line and left. I have waited for 20 minutes before (they asked me to pull up and wait) and gotten cold fries brought out with the food I had waited so long for. Went one time recently and ordered 2 bacon egg and cheese biscuits...and got 2 sausage biscuits. And these are the people who want $15 an hour?! Figure out how to make a burger right fist!!! I can't believe how often they screw things up. Oh, and they want to charge an extra $0.25 for extra mayo on a dollar sandwich... Which they then don't put extra mayo on anyway. Horrible! This Mcdonalds is absolutely terrible; especially during night time. They screw up my (and everyone I knows') order 90% of the time at night and about 50% of the time during the morning/day. My girlfriend manages the mcdonalds in Westfield, IN, (owned by same owners) so we know how they are supposed to operate. If you eat here you will be dissapointed. If you do get your correct order, there is a very high chance (for me about 75% of the time) that your fries will be stale, as well as more than half of your order. The employees are supposed to throw food out (waste) according to their times, but that almost never happens. During night time, there is supposed to be a brief shutdown to switch over to breakfast and reset the systems. This is supposed to take 10 minutes. The employees at this mcdonalds often lie and say it takes 45 minutes in hopes that you will drive away. In conclusion, new castle indiana mcdonalds is TERRIBLE. If i could have, i would have rated it 0 stars. Do not waste your time and money here!!! read more
