I've had yelp for years and never felt compelled to go through the effort of stringing the words together for leaving a review. This place deserves it. I've been trying to find a good bbq place in Indiana near Muncie for years after being spoiled by bbq down in Georgia. Grill't absolutely crushed it. Brisket was phenomenal. Baked beans were perfect. The sweet bbq sauce was delicious and different in a good way. The only hangup I really had was the seating. There's 2 long tables, and only a handful of short ones. I felt bad taking up a long table for just my wife and I, but that's a pretty minor detail. The guy behind the counter was patient with us stumbling through our order. Wow! What a great restaurant! It's easy to drive past Grill't because it's behind Weenee World. (Lol at that name.) I went with a half-rack rib meal. It comes with two sides so I ordered monster fries (fries, cheese, ranch, and jalapeños) and Texan potatoes. (Yeah, I know. That was dumb to choose potatoes for both of my sides.) There was a slight upcharge to get monster fries, but it was worth it. The food was great! They have two kinds of BBQ sauce: sweet or spicy. If you don't like hot food, don't order the spicy BBQ sauce because it has some kick to it. The sauce was good, but my nose was running. :) The ribs and monster fries were amazing. There was a ton of meat on the ribs! Very filling. The Texan potatoes were good too, but not as good as the ribs and fries. The menu changes slightly from day to day depending on what they have in stock. I got the last available half-rack of ribs at 5:00pm on a Friday so if you want to eat here, it's best to arrive early! It started to get crowded right when I finished my meal. Grill't had the best service that I've received at a restaurant in a while. It's run by a nice Christian family. They are terrific. They work hard to make sure their customers are satisfied. It's hard to get a 5 out of 5 for food quality and service, but Grill't is exceptional at both. read more

Probably the best customer service I've ever received in Henry County - it was found here! The owner of Grill't is so incredibly friendly, I loved her. She kept bringing us samples of things to try and asking us if we needed anything. She's definitely ready to serve her customers & community with the best of the best. It's a family owned & operated business. Everything is homemade! Everything. The meats are tender and juicy, the best barbecue around. The Rodeo Burger is epic. The mac and cheese overload was recommended and super fillling. I could not finish it, although I wanted to. Ha! The baked beans are perfectly sweet. And the Texas Potatoes - extra cheesy with a bread crumble, . Indoor seating is open now and if you order a drink you will be greeted with a huge Ball jar that comes with free refills. Hidden behind an ice cream place, we had seen some recommendations and decided to try. This is a DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE restaurant. First, you're welcomed like you're family. Family-owned business, they truly care that you have everything you want or need. Second, the food is so tasty, made with care, nothing pulled from a freezer and thrown in a microwave. My husband had the brisket: I swear, that might be the best brisket I've ever had in my life I had the pulled pork sandwich: so tender, loved that I had enough for lunch the next day BIL who had driven past multiple times: Now I'm mad I didn't come in here before today SIL: regarding the fried pickle sample we were offered, "I'm getting those next time" We all sampled each others' sides, monster fries, mac & cheese overload, baked beans, southern green beans, Texas potatoes, collard greens. Every item was memorable. They also do catering. Hmmm, maybe I should get a pan of pulled pork & the overloaded mac to put in my freezer for "an emergency" And ladies, thank you so much for your hospitality. New restaurant in New Castle! This was our first time trying Grill't which has been open in it's permanent location for a few weeks. The owner came out, welcomed us, gave us free samples, and checked on our experience as we were leaving. The food was excellent! We had a pulled pork sandwich, shrimp tacos, and we attempted and failed at the loaded fries. The fries are a meal in themselves and are loaded with cheese, bbq, more cheese, and deliciousness. Took a chance on this place on the way to Summit Lake and was so happy we did. The rib tips, pulled pork, and shrimp tacos were fantastic. I made the mistake of not asking for BBQ sauce so didn't have any when we got to the lake to eat, but honestly, I didn't miss it one bit. Gave me time to truly enjoy the full rich smoked flavor and tenderness. Literally some of the best pulled pork I've had. The sides were fresh and tasty as well and my wife loved the shrimp tacos. The best part was the interaction with the owner, Anthony. He was so friendly and made sure everything was personally taken care of. He really cares and the proof was the flavor. I really wish this place the best and can't wait to go get a shrimp po'boy next time.
