During covid, the area is plenty spaced to allow for social distancing and the facility is very clean. The menu is vast and they have weekly special. I was so pleased to see chocolate gravy, I had not had it since I was a child from my grandmother. Their gravy did not disappoint. However, the biscuits were mediocre. You can tell it was a big pan of biscuits made on a cookie sheet and cut- was not a fan of the flavor or texture. I tried part of the omelette my partner was eating, and it was great. The bacon was cooked to crisp as I asked. The waitress was attentive and pricing fair. Great choice for families, plenty of large table and seating.

Wife and I had a great time here! Food was OUTSTANDING as well as the service (as for Tonya). I had Brisket and ribs with a side onion rings and zesty cucumber salad; all way fabulous, high quality and very tasty. Wife and steak sandwich and was very impressed! Bread was fresh and the steak was juicy and tasty. Special not the location is miss marked on Yelp, it almost a crossed the street from Mc Ds.

    Chicken dinner.

This was a delicious lunch stop in a small town. My wife had the chicken dinner special and I had the beef manhattan. Both came with potatoes and gravy and we both choose green beans for the side. This was home style cooking and we were so happy with everything. We ended with rhubarb/strawberry pie, and raspberry cobbler. Both were amazing. Friendly staff. restrooms, inside dining and carry out. Private parking lot. Don't pass this place up.

Fried chicken, mashed potatoes and the best gravy I've had in a long, long time. And the best cole slaw out there, (not pictured.)

This place is a gold mine! Very moderately priced and huge portions of fresh food! They are customer-focused and deliver a fantastic food and atmosphere. Highly recommend!!!

Fall off the bone ribs, smoked to perfection, oh & Brisket.

Fall off the bone ribs, smoked to perfection, oh & Brisket. Best all you can eat fried chicken or fish around. Also try the Rueben sandwich, vegetable beef soup, Beef Manhattan, or the Classic club sandwich. Just a start of my favorites.

The Country Fried Steak is my favorite. My daughter loves the pork tenderloin. I also love their onion rings are just right.

We were recommended Ky's by a co-worker of my fiancé. We made the trip out to new castle from…read moreMuncie, and right away when we walked in we thought the place was decorated absolutely adorable. We were seated right away, and the waitress was super kind to explain the menu to us since it was our first time, and gave us the hot bar/salad bar run down. I ordered the Parmesan chicken with a baked potato and seasoned green beans and it was very good. My fiancé got the hot bat which was bbq for the night. I tried a few bites of stuff from his plate and the pulled pork was absolutely amazing. I wasn't disappointed with anything we tried. Maybe added a little salt and pepper to some things as per my preference but overall it was great. We were obsessed with the burger flight appetizer! They were probably the highlight of dinner from how good they tasted and how creative they were. The bathrooms were tidy, well decorated and overall very nice. Overall were very happy, will most likely try to have a date night there again, and plan to contact them to discuss the possibility of catering out wedding.

Much like Steven Tyler sang on the single that was released the year I was born (I just now…read morediscoverd this!), I am back in the saddle, again! Recently, my family went on a, er, fateful camping trip. Fateful is perhaps a strong term. But much like Back in the Saddle isn't Aerosmith's best song, this wasn't my favorite camping trip. Oh, far from it! But this isn't a review about camping venues. It's a review about a restaurant. Why? Because when the rain comes in and dampens your family's weekend plans, quite literally, it's time for Plan B! I wasn't familiar with the area, but something drew us to Ky's American Bistro and, honestly, they kind of saved the day! Ky's is a locally owned establishment that specializes in down-home cooking and classic American fare. They advertise an unlimited salad bar, which I think is great. The unlimited salad bar seems to be vanishing from our culture (R.I.P. Ruby Tuesday!), and while I am not the biggest fan of the all-you-can-eat buffet (don't judge my lunch choice below!), I AM a fan of a salad bar that giveth abundantly. Beyond the salad bar, they create "handcrafted" burgers, tenderloins and hand-cut streaks. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon, and they had a hot bar you could add to the unlimited salad bar. Yes, it was technically a buffet, but I am going with "hot bar" because its my review, and I can. Joking aside, it was a solid Sunday meal. The hot bar had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, mac 'n cheese and green beans. Basically, the perfect Sunday comfort meal after a less-than-stellar camping trip. My son ordered the bone-in wings and they looked great, nice and meaty. My girls loved the "jello fluff" off the salad bar. I am a sucker for a salad bar that includes more than just salad, even if its simply something for my kids to enjoy. They also include a soup with the salad bar because, of course! It was a cheesy cauliflower, and my oldest daughter was skeptical. But she loved it and downed a bowl quickly. The decor is rustic, yet comforting: knickknacks on the wall, but it never felt like they were going full Cracker Barrel. My youngest daughter loved the "Farm to Table" sign with the greenery hanging down. She was already interested in decorating her bedroom in a similar fashion, so she was very impressed. And let me tell you, that's saying something for her! Lol. My only drawback was that it was nearing the end for the hours of the hot bar, yet more people had just been sat who stated they wanted to order the salad and hot bar. The kitchen brought out some fresh chicken, but said that was all that would be served. It was a little early, I felt, since a large family had just ordered, but it all worked out. There was enough food, and I understand a business wanting to save on food waste. I saw a review that mentioned instant mashed potatoes. All due respect, but that reviewed is crazy. These potatoes were THICC. No "k" needed! They were served with a delicious chicken gravy. The food was exactly what you would want for a down-home comfort meal. Whether you are surviving the bad weather or just looking for a great meal, Ky's has you covered.

But every customer I saw here was treated like family! Most importantly - I had the best pork tenderloin sandwich I've ever had in my life. Having moved from Indiana to Michigan 22 years ago - I can't find a decent one and have resorted to making my own. Although I'm doing a decent job - this is a "next-level" sandwich. My party also ordered a burger, some country fried steak, a breakfast combo - everything was fantastic. My kids, myself, and my wife keep mentioning this meal even a couple months later. I rarely say this - but to me, Iron Kettle is a destination dining location - worth driving half an hour out of your way just to give it a try. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere "casual diner" but comfortable, and the food exceeded my expectations by far. I am already planning a visit back to the area. Not just to see family, but also to see my new friends at Iron Kettle again and sample more of their menu!
