McDonalds has a business plan that is virtually flawless. Besides the fact that I love all their food, I love that it's prepared quickly and efficiently. The staff I have always encountered has been nothing less than courteous, friendly and attentive-helpful. This location was the same. It's very busy since their location is tied to a gas station off the parkway This location was a little smaller than I'm used to on Long Island bit that certainly did not slow down the flow of cars through the drive through and the amount of people coming through the doors. Burger and fries were fresh and hot. The location, while small is all windows and very bright. The restaurant was very clean. The person behind the counter greeted me with a big hello and was very pleasant and courteous. I can only imagine how overwhelming it can be when you're that busy and the team is preparing food as fast as they can. These reviews don't change much from location to location and I would not expect it to. Everyone does their job and follows the procedures... This always makes for a pleasurable experience. We are not McDonalds regulars but when on a road trip it's our goto. Pleasantly surprised at our stop here, the person who took my order very friendly order was correct and expeditious. I forgot to order something went back up again same experience different person. If more McDonald's were like this, it would be fabulous! Very clean, friendly and efficient! read more

OMG! The wait time was insane!!! We were making a quick stop to grab lunch along our way home from Buffalo and we waited for almost 30 minutes to get our 5 McChicken Sandwiches and two French fries at this McDonalds. This fast food restaurant has drive-thru, curb side pickup, mobile order and in store order/pick up options. It was very busy and not enough staff to work. The cashier who took order at the counter would not help to put together the orders even though no one was ordering. The cashier just stood there and watched his co-workers to do work. The only positive comment about this McDonald is that all the food was fresh and hot. Be prepared to wait if you are coming in during lunch hours. read more

Had a stopover here today from Syracuse driving south to NJ. I waited 20-30mins in drive thru when I am 2nd in the line. The staffs look very busy, running around and exhausted. I feel bad for the customers and I also feel bad for the staffs. Not sure if they're understaffs, if they are, Hopefully they're well-compensated. Also hopefully if ever i'm coming back here for another stopover in the future, I'm looking forward for a timely serving of food orders. read more

Asked for food made to order. It definitely wasn't cooked fresh or made to order. Fries tasted days old with no salt. Buns were stale, meat was dry. It was so disgusting. Then when I tried to get a different drink I was told no and refused service. It left me so confused because I had just been through with no issues. The man who brought out the food was so nice. However the man and the woman in the window were extremely rude. I'm so glad I don't live here and was just passing through. I get you make minimum wage but that was your decision. You don't need to take it out by threatening your customers. read more

I went there in the early morning to get the 2 for $4 breakfast deal. The gentleman waiting on us refused to give us the deal and I finally lost my temper with him after he refused to give me any number to call to complain besides the stores and refused to acknowledge the sign pictured below. Stopped here several times on road trips. Each time it has been significantly more deteriorated than the last. VERY dirty. Understaffed. Bathrooms never clean, never have soap, and never have toilet paper. In the main seating area trash piles up on the bins higher than I am tall. Trash all over tables. A worker from the attached gas station came over to notify the McDonalds manager of the constant complaints regarding the bathrooms and cleanliness. Managers response was "I don't have anyone to do that right now." Several more people complained in the few minutes I sat at a table. Plenty of dead flies stuck to 'sticky traps' in the food prep area. With all that being said, I've never had a problem receiving my order. Only long wait times. Might be a health hazard to eat though. read more

It's McDonald's, so it's typical fast food. The food was hot, and it was good to get a stop in on a long road trip. We stopped out of desperation -- the Burger King lot was blocked off by a truck, and the line at Dunkin' was out into the street -- but we'd've done better moving along. For one thing, the restrooms were disgusting. And maybe related, one of our party became ill after eating there. In any event, despite cheerful (unusually so) counter staff, basic hygiene is probably job one at a restaurant and this is a fail even by McDonald's low standards. read more

This place gets more disgusting every time we stop in. Both the men's and the ladies rooms are gross. Urinal in men's room had had plastic in it for 2 years now. Ladies room had two stalls with no toilet paper. Other stall had flies on the seat! Last time I was here one person took my order incorrectly without verifying so the other worker could not figure out how to make it! If you have to wait for People to come in before you make food, please train and manage them properly. And keep those bathrooms cleaner than you have for the last couple years. We are done! There are other places to go at this rest stop now so that is where our money and business will be going! read more

I know it is McDonalds but come on. 20 plus minutes in the drive thru waiting on a 10 piece order of nuggets. No busses or mass amounts of people. No excuse. My Husbands burger was raw as you can see in the photo. read more

Extremely slow. Dinning room was closed and drive thru is very slow. Few cars in front of me left because of the wait. We finally got out food after ~45 minutes. Throughout the whole time, they served a total 7 orders (including ours)... The food was OK compares to other McDonald's. read more

We are getting ready to hit the road for a trip to Long Island. This McDonald's has been one of our "pit stops" for years. However, I agree with previous reviewers - this place has deteriorated over time. Dirty, disgusting bathrooms and eating area. I checked on Yelp to see if possibly they have remodeled and cleaned up the place since we were here last. I understand that is not the case so we WILL NOT be stopping on this trip. Burger King and the Denny's truck stop are alternatives in the same location - we will be headed there. read more

The gentleman at the register was a young man but super polite and quick! We had 6 people with us stopping. We all ordered and then disappeared until the order came out. Not a thing was messed up! Half the time something is missing. He was great and on point. The eating area was a bit filthy. The bathrooms not that great either. This McDonald's is attached to a gas station. So I can't imagine it constantly being cleaned to perfection. read more

I stop by here quite often, but seen it deteriorate over time. Bathroom is always dirty and soap out of supply. Tried the steakhouse third pound burger today. Sauce was too salty and not enough mushrooms. Why invent a third pound burger when there's already a quarter pound? Bigger is not better if it doesn't taste good. read more

I was here twice in one day (half way point to home) in the morning there was a little bit of a wait inside but the cashier was pleasant and gave me friendly service. The food was hot and didn't suck. Several hours later I stopped here again and went through the drive thru, I got a value meal and a parfait. The woman at the window told me I might need to wait for fries but at the next window told me they were good. One fry later I found that they definitely were not "good" I simply let her know and she just had me pull forward and three minutes later I had my fries and her apologies that the fries hadn't been great. The food tasted fine, again its McDonald's so you can't expect some gourmet meal but its sufficient and I have experienced good service each time I have been there. read more

Can you do less than one star? No? Okay then. DO NOT COME HERE! If you and your family are close to starvation, keep calm and keep driving. The food is just plain terrible. Like seriously terrible. Like how can it be so terrible? Is it poison? The only thing good about the place is the architecture and service. I absolutely love the look of the place. It has this woodsy-hunting kind of vibe. If you told me it wasn't a McDonald's, I would believe you. The only thing indicating it's a McDonald's is the Ronald McDonald sitting on a bench in the lobby. I love animals and stuff but bugs are an entirely different story. I hate flies with a burning intensity of 1,000 suns. Especially when they land on my food. Which does indeed happen. A LOT. In sum, never come here under any circumstances. NO MATTER WHAT read more

This place is always a disorganized mess. The counter help couldn't care less. There's never any catsup available at the condiments bar and it's way too small for the amount of traffic. Save yourself the hassle and go to Flying J or Burger King. You can get a better Big Mac elsewhere where they might care. read more

Stopped here at 11/42pm on a Friday. Decided on the drive thru. 17 minutes in line only to be told "oh we forgot one of your quarter pounders could you pull up to the stop sign and we'll bring it out to you". This was after them trying to give us orders for 3 different customers. We asked for additional salt 3 times. Didn't get it. No napkins!! Now for the actual food. 2 quarter pounders--neither was even warm, the cheese wasn't close to being melted, there was hardly any condiments on it. The actual burger looked like a regular burger, not a quarter pounder burger. The fries were mushy, not even warm and barely cooked. What a horrible place. read more

This actually is not a bad Mcdonalds. I went here early in the morning for a cup of coffee and a Egg McMuffin. The time it took for my order, my coffee, and my sandwich to be made was under 5 minutes. The taste of the sandwich and coffee was quite good and tasted fresh. The cashier was very generous and kind when checking me out. The inside of this McDonalds could use a remodel though and the restrooms are quite old and dirty. This McDonalds is attached to a gas station so you can go in between the two stores, which is quite nice. Be sure to greet Ronald McDonald on your way in! read more

This McD use to be great. With recent price hikes, It now has outlived its usefulness. For a similar order, I pay $6 & change at a Wendy's compared to almost $10 here. Definitely not family or senior friendly. They've always had some issue with hiring managers that can keep the establishment as well as the customers feel appreciated. Service is often slow, food is rarely at proper temperature and as for managers, it's more like "Give me your money, take what we give you and get out. Better yet, don't come in". My last visit, & I do mean LAST, I dined in as I often did, (animals eat outside in the lot or car) My over priced small order of fries were salty and I finished my medium sized drink. I approached the manager who was leaning on the counter with her cell phone & asked for a drink top off. She gave me a wide smirk and simply said "We don't give refills here". Does she prefer everyone ask for a large drink and dump what they don't drink into the trash? They've since removed the self serve drink fountain to make sure you get the message. read more

So, I brought a bus load of people to your restaurant and instead of asking for a free meal for a bus driver, I asked for a warm up in my coffee and the manager, aka the coffee Natzi, said I couldn't have a warm up because I didn't the coffee at your McDonald's. thanks for nothing. I will tell all my friends that drive bus and usually stop at your McDonald's to stop coming to your restaurant and go to the Burger King across the street instead. The sandwich was good, but I have to say that proportions of the ingredients felt a bit off. I also noticed during the prep of my plate that the chips came from opening a bag (a bulk version similar to ripple chips you'd just buy at the store). In a cafe space like this, you can't necessarily expect people to be making everything from scratch... but I think it's just helpful to note to keep expectations in line. The drink that I ordered was made well (their beverage selection is at the very back of the menu). You can definitely tell that this is a community space, and it seemed like a number of locals filtered in throughout the lunch. There are notes on the tables that advise of a 90 minute limit for sitting at the table (not something I've ever actually seen before), and there's wifi available for use by customers. Perhaps an awkward experience was just related to the overall service? You grab a menu and choose your table if you're dining in, but you end up paying at the counter. Personally, if I'm going to sit down to eat then I'd prefer to have the check brought to the table and pay that way. The space is a bit cramped by the counter, so it seems like it'd benefit to minimize the foot traffic that has to wait there. And perhaps this is silly, but upon paying for the lunch, the server handed me my receipt and said "Just sign here", and then seemed to be somewhat... abrupt? I feel like I'm pretty low maintenance when dining out, but it just left me going "OH. Okay. Time for me to get out of the way" (it's worth noting that at the time, there was nobody waiting around, or to get to, the counter). Still, it was enjoyable to stop at Carol's Coffee & Art Bar. It's a more unique space with nice offerings.

The food, baked goods,and coffees are delicious. The atmosphere is so calming. There are beautiful paintings of Carol's artwork surrounding the cafe. A n d about once a week there is live music performed by a very talented musician. Its truly a warm welcoming café to just relax and feel comfortable. Its a rare treat in these stressful times where everything is rushed and impersonal. Highly recommend!

Inviting space (how have they resisted adding seating to the ample room), minimalist decor (maybe some local artists could brighten up the open walls), terrific chairs, and last-terrific coffee! Maybe the best cappuccino I've ever had, and blue eyes loved her caffe mocha. Not the slightest bitterness in either, just deep coffee flavor. The staff was pleasant too. The only complaint is that parking can be an issue, but that's not Laveggio's fault, is it? Highly recommended.

We had excellent service from our barista, who offered us samples of the 100% dark chocolate (my favorite, I eat it wrapped in dates), and other. We ordered a decaf cappuccino and a spiced Mexican cocoa. Both were delicious. We did a self-guided tour and that was awesome. We purchased the decaf coffee beans and the 100% dark chocolate to take home. The peaceful ambiance of the inside was only made more intense when we walked outside and saw the row of gigantic pine trees overlooking the beautiful Pocono Mountains.
