Service was great. I got hash browns, which every time I've been there are not hot. I also got a Sausage Mcgriddle. The sausage was room temperature and the pancake part was cold. I had to throw it out. read more

Got so many things wrong with my order and proceeded to give my son attitude when he went up to get his missing milkshake. Snatched the receipt and said "what am I missing from your order now", get it right the first place and you don't have to ask. read more

#27/2022 Well it's McDonald's I'm not going to give a big long massive review. But this is the second time in about a month I hoofed it over from the truck stop and decided to strap on the feedbag. Contrary to the dismal reviews I can definitely say they're making in roads post covid. I will definitely admit a few years back this was a sucky McDonald's. Terrible employees older looking unremodeled. While they still have their issues with staffing like any other place really anymore; it's a crap shoot if wether is a dining room will be open as they want it to be. The service and the food has definitely improved drastically. Last time 03/17/22 I was in I had a double filet of fish meal today I came in and had a number one Big Mac no pickles or onion. Medium fry with no salt diet coke. But I had just woke up and the stomach was really growling so I had to add four piece Chicken McNugget. They got my food done in a nice timely manner everything was very well it tasted fine it was nice and hot too. Dining room was very clean employees were very cordial so I don't have many problems and I'll definitely come back to this one again too if I feel like walking it. read more

Well. They've managed to do it again. Against my better judgement I gave this McDonald's another try because my 4 year old desperately wanted a happy meal with a toy. What a mistake. The problem wasn't so much that they screwed up my order (which they did) as was their response to it when I asked to get what I paid for. Not a big deal - or at least it shouldn't have been, but they forgot the toy as well as the two extra nugget sauces I asked and paid for. Again- not a big deal, just go in and ask them to fix it, right? Of course not. Not at this McDonald's. I was rudely told by the ample manager that she did indeed give me everything when clearly they did not. I can assure you, I am not in the habit of getting out of my car in -2°F when the winds are gusting to 48 mph just to pull a scam on McDonald's. This McDonald's has had a history of problems for a very long time. They treat their customers and employees like garbage. Speaking of garbage, their trash cans are always in a state of overflow and their tables are nearly always dirty. I genuinely surprised that they are still in business. I have been to a lot of McDonald's in a lot of places, I've even been pick-pocketed at one before. Despite being robbed - that McDonald's was 10 times better than this one. The Oakwood McDonald's is truly a disgrace. You would be better served by heading across the interstate to Hardee's. And please, owners, if you read this I do NOT want a voucher for a free breakfast from your pathetic establishment. I won't use them, and they won't placate me. read more

I walk in to order myself food, and there's not one but two people standing behind the counter not doing anything. I stand there for a good 5 minutes. I try the kiosk in the restaurant but it doesn't work. So I stood there for another three minutes while being ignored. I ended up walking out and going to the Hardee's down the road. read more

Every time I order from this location, there is always an issue with my order. This time, they didn't have my drinks, then when they did get them, they had them wrong. Im not sure if they dont understand the system for order from the app, or they just don't care. read more

I come here quite often at all times of the day if I just want a drink, quick bite before work or if I'm just getting lunch for my boyfriend and I. There's never really a 10/10 experience. Usually they leave off the whipped cream on my hot chocolate, the drizzle on my frappe, forget napkins or sauce but that's not that big of a deal. If you come early in the morning, the lady taking your order is always so rude. I get it's really early and your probably tired but at least be a little nicer. All she said when I pulled up was "What do you want". I almost just drove away right then and there. The most recent time I've been there was horrible. I asked for a 20pc nugget meal, 2 McChickens with only Mac sauce and Cheese, and a chicken nugget kids meal. How much they got wrong astonished me. There was no sauce that i asked for with the chicken nuggets, there was only one McChicken and it only had lettuce and mayo on it, and a cheeseburger. And to add on, I asked for apple slices with my kids meal and they weren't in there. I did come back later that night and they game me the McChickens that I ordered the first time but I just couldn't believe what happened. read more

This McDonald's is right next to a truck stop, so they would get a lot of foot traffic...their lobby is CLOSED!! Update your information if your lobby is going to be closed. It takes about 30mins just to get in and out of a truck stop with a semi or RV, if you are going to have your lobby closed, then you need to accept walk-thru's at your drive thru!!! read more

It was about 10PM and I was driving to Cleveland. Saw the golden arches and thought a quarter pounder (or a Royale with Cheese for anyone named Vincnet in Amsterdam) and fries would hit the spot. I went inside and 3 of the 4 staff were sitting at a table having a grand time. Only Jamie was working. Judging from the cleanliness of the kitchen, the 3 sitting at the table had sold all the cleaning supplies on Ebay and were planning on how to spend the money. But not Jamie. He took my order and cooked my food. Good job, Jamie. Or so I thought. Got my food to go. It was a dark and rainy night. I fumbled for the burger and took a bite. "There must be a dairy farm nearby.", I said out loud. Where else would that moo come from? Took another bite. Another moo. I flipped the dome lights on and saw where the moo came from. The burger was so undercooked it was still mooing! I reached into the bag with the thought of feeding the burger the fries to shut the burger up, but the fries were so cold it only angered the quarter pounder. I was fighting a losing battle. I snapped a photo of Bessie and tossed it and the fries out of the window. The warmest part of my "meal" was the Dr. Pepper. read more

waited for 10 minutes just to get cold fries. we only got one napkin per person and took 5 minutes to get sauce.

Just went thru drive-thru in Oakwood...nasty experience! the one waiting on people was rude and difficult to understand. I wanted a sweet tea and his rough response was we can'tdo tea, no sorry we don't have tea, no I apologize,, we can't do tea, just a rude we can't do tea. I also wanted 2 cheese burgers that have gone up to 2.19 a piece and quality and size has gone down. James, the one working the drive up, told me my cost was 4.38 but when I got to the window the cost was 4.71. The amount he told me was without the tax. When I told him what he quoted me, he again was rude, raised his voice. And called for the manager when I told him I was going to call the owners. The manager was also rude and when James told her I was going to call the owners, she said that she didn't care. Now, while the manager was talking with me, he was being sickingly sweet to those using drive thru. I told her that he hadn't been that nice to me, the call before me nor car after me. There is a Hardee's here in town and I think they just got a new customer! Are workers taught "customer service", anymore? Here in Oakwood, Illinois, McDonald's prices have risen dramatically and customer service and quality of food has deteriorated extremely fast. I will be hard pressed to go to Oakwood McDonalds again!! read more

Was the only person in the restaurant and they gave my meal to a drive thru customer. They just looked at me while I waited at the pickup counter and I finally said something. If I wouldn't have said anything, who knows when they would have asked me what I was waiting for. Got my meal shortly after all that wait but geez. read more

McDonalds is always a favorite. The fries are amazing. Best fountain coke EVER!! Each location has its own uniqueness. Typically staff are teenage kids and could use a little customer service skills. Managers are always working hard and could use a bit more customer service skills at times. Starts with the top and goes down. read more

I have never done a review on Yelp before, but this incident was so upsetting to me, I just wanted to let everyone know about it. I know that customer service is a thing of the past. And there is no better proof of this than at the Oakwood McDonald's! I usually refuse to go there because the staff (managers included) are so rude. Most of the time I have to "pull forward" and wait for whatever I have ordered and then half the time it's wrong anyway. Believe me if there were more choices in Oakwood, I would not have gone there. I made an exception on Saturday night because I had my two little grandsons with me and with the limited choices in Oakwood, we chose McDonald's. The first incident happened right at the drive-thru. I was trying to order two cheeseburgers with ketchup ONLY and the screen showed two hamburgers, NO ketchup. When I corrected the employee, I said we want ketchup ONLY - nothing else. She very rudely responded, "Uh . . . I KNOW what only means." I could not believe what I was hearing! At that point, my son (who was also in the car) told me to just drive off. I decided I was going to pull around and speak to the manager. I pulled up to the drive-thru window and the employee opened the window and just stared at me. I asked to speak to the manager and she said (in a VERY rude voice), "The MANAGER??!!!" I said yes, the manager. At that point a young man came to the window, kind of leaned out and said, "Yeah, what's up?" At that point, I knew I wasn't going to get any satisfaction. His whole demeanor just said he didn't have time for me. I double-checked that Brad was indeed a manager and he said he was. I asked him if he had heard the way the employee was speaking to me and he responded with, "No. What'd she say?" I knew at this point this whole conversation was going nowhere so I just said, "You know what, Brad. Just forget it. I don't feel like you are going to do anything about it anyway" at which time Brad (the MANAGER for goodness sake), stalked off, threw up his hands and said (in a very snotty voice), "Fine. You think you know how I'm gonna do my job!" I was so mad I was shaking. Needless to say - I will NEVER go back to that place. I called my sister because I knew she would know who owns the restaurant and she did, but she told me basically I would be wasting my time to make any type of complaint. The Witzels just don't care is the resounding opinion in the Oakwood-Danville area. Very sad. I get better service in the Champaign-Urbana area. I am pretty certain once the Love's truck stop opens and there is another fast-food choice in Oakwood, their business will suffer. read more
