The ambiance was beachy, but laidback and friendly for any occasion. The food was quite good, with the litchfield biscuit and the hoisin shrimp wrap being my favorites. The apple butter on the litchfield was the best my family has ever had (an easy thing for us to agree on). They also have a great array of beers, with some nice local options. I will say that my Kentucky Cowboy milkshake was booze forward, so just a heads up if that's not your preference. I definitely would have chosen the Sweet Swine in hindsight. Ellen was a real gem though, as we had two coincidental issues with our food (not her fault at all) and she handled it like a real pro. The staff is all professional, and these two visits cemented BisQit as our go-to whenever we take another trip to Pawley's Island.

The egg was perfect, but it wasn't a great sandwich overall. The home fries were not very warm and the melted cheese on top (I asked to add) was also dry and very stuck together. So the potatoes were all one sheet of cheesy potato which did not easily break apart. The cheese they used was not a great melting cheese. Probably pre shredded with a caking agent on it. Anyway. It was all edible, but it wasn't great. Also, this is a very drafty place, tried to sit in the plastic walled porch but was freezing. The bar wasn't much better. And the annoying guy next to me who couldn't read the room didn't help anything.

What a Great place to eat around Pawleys island…read more Service and food were top notch. They were pretty busy, but they got us in right away and we were a party of 5 with two kids. The place is lively, and has ac inside to keep you cool in the summer heat. They give you a nice basked of bread when you arrived and large drinks. I ordered the shrimp appetizer for dinner and it was so good. I didn't leave a single bite for leftover. My daughter got a burger and it was pretty big for kids size! It also came with fruit which was appreciated. My husband got the po boy and also enjoyed it. The server was very friendly, helpful, and took time talking to us. We started with a carafe of blood orange mimosas. The flavor was great! I would've liked a little bit more chilled but nothing a little ice couldn't take care of. I went with the grilled Romaine salad. What an awesome choice. The Romain was grilled to perfection and topped with a lot of crumbled blue cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, pistachios, bacon, and blueberries. The fried oysters we're served to the side of the salad and they were not too heavily battered and made a delicious compliment to this amazing salad. The warm Maple bacon vinaigrette was absolutely delicious. I will not be just passing by this pace anymore - it actually might become one of my regular stops!

The PIT is especially exciting when they have a live band playing outside, and I love the fact that they have both an inside and outside bar for patrons to use. As for the food and drink I got, my margarita wasn't very good, but my pepperoni pizza was immaculate! I'd say it was among the best pepperoni pizzas I've ever had. I was also very impressed with our table's server, who did a great job of both delivering our food, as well as staying calm amidst the chaos of a packed house. All-in-all, Pawleys Island Tavern is a Litchfield staple that's a must-visit every time you're in the area. I would highly recommend you stop in when you get the chance!

We visited here from out of town. My 2 nephews and their band ,Urban Jukebox (Look them up- Awesome…read moreband for hire!!!) were playing. I love how this place is set up. It has a small inside area with seating and a bar. It has a 2nd floor with pool table. It's attached to a huge outside deck/patio built around huge trees for covering, a stage area, huge firepit you can self add logs too, and heaters surrounding plenty of seating for large or small groups. We ordered the bang bang shrimp, regular fried shrimp and the oysters. They cook to order, there is no pre cooked food laying around waiting to be selected for an order. The food was top tier! The shrimp were fat and perfectly seasoned and cooked. The oysters were clusters and they tasted like they had just come out of the ocean. Perfectly salted and steamed. The live band was a bonus! If you're in the area, I highly recommend this place and the band. If I lived closer, I would definitely be a regular.

Not to mention they brought my food out 10 minutes before any one else at the table. The burger itself was extremely mid, 0 flavor, and even the onion rings were bad. When trying to leave, it took multiple attempts to get them to bring out my check, and even longer to get them to run my card. It's clear these owners have never worked at a restaurant before and are clueless with what they are doing. Icing on the cake: their menu spelled Caesar salad, "Ceasar salad". Incompetence is rampant here.

When he returned with our drinks we needed more time to look at the menu. He was so kind and patient with both of us. Once we were ready he came back to see what we wanted. He made a few suggestions and I agreed. I'm so happy I did. Bev was satisfied with her selection. In no time at all plates were placed in front of us. The aroma of the food transcended me back to my childhood and home cooked meals made in my Mama's kitchen. Alex was our chef and he prepared our dishes perfectly. Everything was done with care and precision. We asked for soup. Bev got the she crab soup and I got the loaded potato soup. The flavors blended like a total taste bud party. I never had the soup before but on a cold night it was just right. Bev enjoyed her soup and meal as well. The team worked together so smoothly it was like a choreographed dance. Has a great evening out vibe but not in the stuffy or uptight way. Staff and servers were friendly, professional and handling the busy crowd well. We were served waters right away and a drink order was taken, then the beautiful bread basket was delivered and it had an assortment of carrots and celery plus, a crunchy flatbread cracker, buttery cheese biscuit, yeast roll, and a rustic sourdough roll (I'm guessing on these, but we ate them all!). For our meal we settled on the pork schnitzel with kale, brussels, and roasted potatoes and the scallops with butternut squash risotto. The schnitzels was lovely with its crispy breading, a creamy mushroom "gravy" and an onion sauce for the potatoes and veggies that was rich and flavorful. The brussels were caramelized and paired perfectly with creamy elements. The sautéed onions pulled the potatoes and kale in and it was just a great plate of food. Elevated comfort, Scallops were cooked perfectly and were tender with a nice "crust" and the risotto had chunks of pork belly and butternut squash for a salty/sweet balance. Sadly we didn't get dessert because we were headed to a party but we will be back to try the short rib and bread pudding!
