There was no line to order and no cars between me and the pickup window. There was a fairly normal Taco Bell Menu and a separate low tech menu listing certain Long John Silvers combo meals. It didn't seem like it was a complete menu. I said "I'd like to get a Fish and Chips." The person taking my order said "what do you want?" I thought maybe they don't use the word "chips" at LSJ, so I said "a Fish and Fries." She accepted this order and said it would cost "$2.25", which seemed very low. I was in somewhat of a hurry, so I decided to just go with it, and I was curious about what they were going to give me for $2.25. I drove right to the window and paid. I didn't check my clock, but what seemed like about 10 minutes passed and a line started to form behind me. She asked me to drive around front and said she would bring my order there. I parked in front and waited about another 10 minutes without getting my food. Within those 10 minutes, another car appeared from the Drive Thru area and also parked out front. I had finally lost patience and time, and I started to drive away since I needed to be somewhere and didn't care that much about the $2.25. As I started, an employee came outside with a bag and gave it to the other car. I said "I've been waiting here for about 10 minutes for my food and about 20 minutes since I ordered. Do you have my food?" She said she didn't and that she doesn't "make the food". I told her I was leaving. So what would I have gotten for my $2.25 if I had had an indefinite amount of time to wait? Veterans Day this year is on a Tuesday, it's 1:30, and the place is full. I have overheard many Veterans, so I am not sure what their usual Tuesday lunch volume is like. The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. Tracy A is a super friendly, personable server! Post notes: when given a discount, I always tip on the full meal cost. The server shouldn't lose income for my discount. Also, when given a free meal, I normally order a dessert to at least give the restaurant a little revenue.

It did take a bit of time to decide between the three of us, but we eventually split our checks, with me taking care of my order and Angie taking care of the rest. We had Kate as a waitress, and might I say, she was not only nice and efficient, but she was very knowledgeable of the menu and very helpful and accommodating. I immediately requested a take-out box and she delivered just like that. She was even knowledgeable on what foods and such were made in-house and what wasn't, which is honestly very impressive! The coleslaw it came with was good, but it's not something I would say can compete with the South. But good all the same. Drinks were great too. I got the Dragon Fruit Martini(?), and that was sweet and relaxing to have after a long summer and a long drive to Plainville. Oh, and we also got dessert! Again we picked different things: Angie ordered the "Not Fried Chicken" while I went with the Key Lime Pie. Wherever these guys get their key lime pie from, keep them coming and let me know so I can get some more myself! The Gold BBQ wings were my favorite--crispy, sticky, and packed with flavor. They had the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and tangy without being overpowering. The Buffalo wings were excellent too, with a classic sauce that had just the right amount of heat and a great buttery finish. The wings came out crispy even after being sauced, which is harder to do than most places make it look. Service was friendly, the atmosphere felt like a classic neighborhood tavern, and you can tell they've been doing this for a long time. If you're anywhere near Plainville and like wings, this place is definitely worth the stop. I'll be thinking about those Gold BBQ wings for a while.
