Great local find!! This place has amazing potential - so much care and effort went into the toppings and each bite. Unfortunately our burger patty itself was overcooked and under seasoned. The highlight for me was the sweet potato fries. Homemade and delicious!!! All the buns were toasted and buttered - perfect New England preparation. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The fast casual vibe and layout made for a perfect quick and tasty lunch on a Saturday. Highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for a hit or burger.

Finally checked out Hungry Bull. It's a nice spot, BYOB with a liquor store right next door. We didn't bother because I wanted a milkshake and was rewarded with a really good one! I built my own burger, bacon, cheddar, pickles. Delicious! Fries were good. Mac and cheese is worth it. Staff is exceptionally friendly. And the place is spotless! We'll definitely be back.

Came here for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the "NOT SO PLAIN-VILLE" HOT CHICKEN crispy chicken coated in a spicy house rub, Nashville mayo, housemade slaw and pickles. Food was made fast and fresh. Staff was friendly here. Restaurant was clean.

After reading the great reviews about this place my wife and I had to try it for our "Hot Dog Tuesday" lunch. I don't give out 5 stars easily. This little unassuming place deserves every one of them! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly man at the counter who seated us and brought menus. He turned out to be very helpful finding out this was our first time here. The store was well lit and clean. The tables were well spaced and not crowded in. My wife stuck to our tradition and ordered the RT 10 Dog with the spicy relish on the side. (Which was great for me) I couldn't resist The Hungry Bull burger. We'll just have to come back again for me to try their hotdogs. The 10' hot dog is a Martin Rosol's so the foundation of this hot dog is super strong. The sauerkraut was tasty and full flavored and just the right amount of mustard. My wife tried the spicy relish, that our server cheerfully supplied on the side, and it was a little too hot for her liking. Bonus for me. I got to put it on my burger. My burger came out stacked on a sturdy Brioche Roll with American cheese, onion straws and some very tasty horseradish crema. My burger was juicy and full of flavor. The onion straws brought the right amount of crunch. Halfway through I began to add in the spicy relish. Amazing. We got fries and onion rings and shared. The fries were big, crisp on the outside and creamy on the inside. Just the way I like them. The onion rings were amazing. I like when you bite into an onion ring and the whole onion doesn't come sliding out. These were perfect. Very good crunch and flavor. We have already decided that we will be back. I can't wait to try the hot dogs and the chicken sandwiches that were also calling my name.

This is a winner of a location. Fun interior, fantastic specials menu, and amazing staff. We were road tripping and starving but also had dinner plans so we're on the fence about where to stop. When Hungry Bull Burger popped up in our search we decided we'd give it a go and split burgers to keep our lunch on the smaller end. The following is what a group of 4 purchased. We left satisfied and at just the right amount of full to not ruin our dinner plans. What we got: Clam chowder (special) - 5* phenomenal flavor! I could have ordered my own bowl but unfortunately was stuck stealing spoonfuls from my folks. Mac & cheese (plain, side) - 4* pretty good. I'm not a huge mac and cheese fan at restaurants, but my dad is so he wanted to try it. I loved the texture and cheesiness of the dish and wouldn't mind getting it again. They did have several m&c bowl options that looked good. Disco fries - 5* the gravy was delicious and the cayenne pepper added a great touch. Would highly recommend. Korean burger (special) - 5* oh my law was this gooooood!!!! Such great flavor! Really glad we got to try this. It was also very considerate of the servers to cut our hamburgers in half (we'd asked for extra plates because we were sharing burgers).

Hungry Bull is a small, cozy BYOB burger joint and for a Friday night at 6, it was almost full, which was a great sign. I love seeing a local business get that kind of support. The energy was casual, and it felt like the kind of place where word of mouth keeps people coming back. Food & Drink: My son got a plain cheeseburger with American cheese; nothing fancy, just what he likes, and he was happy, which says a lot. He said it was the "best burger ever" and that we "have to come back to this place". I originally ordered the turkey burger with a side salad instead of fries, but there was a mix-up and it came with fries (happy accident). When I mentioned it, the server brought the salad out too, which was fine. The salad itself was fresh, but the ranch was clearly bottled, so a few points off for that (sorry, I am a ranch snob). The turkey burger? The concept and flavors were great but the patty itself was just good, not great. I asked if it was made in-house, and it's not. That would have made it great. Next time, I'd definitely go for a classic beef burger instead. But the real winner? The fries. Give them a medal. Thick, twisted, almost looks like chip-style fries; crispy and golden and really well done. If you've been to Sicily in Middletown, they're very similar (minus the truffle oil- maybe an idea for the future?). Totally the kind of fries you crave later. Service: The server was super friendly and the vibe was relaxed. Even though my order got mixed up, they fixed it quickly. It didn't ruin the experience at all--mistakes happen, and they handled it well. This is a great local spot. Yummy food and BYOB, which is always a plus. I will go back for the fries alone, and next time I'll give one of their beef burgers a try. Solid casual dinner option, especially if you're in the area and want to support a small business!!!

Yup this place is worth the rating! The place is smaller but very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The burgers were sooo good! I got the Rt.10 and it was a delicious mess! My DH got the bull's eye and really liked it too. My kid custom made his burger but liked it. Let's talk about those sides!! We got the sweet potato fries app and shared it for our side.... WOW! AMAZING! Crispy and that maple drizzle was so yummy! My kid got the side of fries. VERY different but in a really great way. We will be going back for more!

THIS PLACE HAS THE FRENCH FRY GAME ON LOCKDOWN! Honestly the best fries I've had from any restaurant, just get them you'll understand. I've driven past this place many times and decided to stop in for lunch when they opened. Small little plaza located next to a liquor store as they have byob policy. Nice atmosphere, quiet and a straight view right into the kitchen. I ordered the hungry bull burger which is topped with brisket and onion rings, and I got sauces on the side, as most places tend to drench their burgers in them. Horseradish crema and a tangy heat BBQ. The BBQ complimented the burger and brisket nicely, but the crema seemed to get lost in it all, only adding a bit of a fatty taste to the burger which was definitely not needed! Great quality and tasty brisket, great quality burger blend and fantastic brioche bun tying everything together. Food was quick to come out and the one server on seemed to also be the chef, but was still very nice, friendly and accommodating. Only issue that I had was when I ordered a milkshake, which mind you is 8 dollars and comes in only one size. I received a plastic cup about 10oz, just ice cream and too much milk making it more not much more than cookies and cream milk. More shocked with the difference in quality more so than the price. Still fantastic and I suggest visiting if not only for the fries!

The small restaurant was like a deli with several tables inside and a lovely outdoor patio that really elevated its overall atmosphere. We placed our order at the inside counter and grabbed a table outside. Throughout our visit, we experienced extremely pleasant and gracious service from Fina and a young man, both of whom were cooking and delivering the food. Though this caused things to move on the slower side, they really had their system down to a science, managing our meals and the several takeout orders that I saw being collected. The lunch menu had various salads, sandwiches, and burgers on offer. I selected the Chicken Gyro, which used a real grilled chicken breast that had been sliced, rather than those pre-cut strips that always seem to contain fillers. The chicken was a tad dry, but the homemade tzatziki sauce, which was heavily infused with dill, helped to add moisture to the sandwich. I had opted for a whole wheat wrap, rather than a pita, and I loved that they had lightly toasted the completed dish, even with its inclusion of romaine lettuce and diced tomatoes. That method gave the wrap an improved texture and a slight crunch. I sampled a few of my companion's fries, which were thin, crispy, and had a real rustic flavor that resembled potato skins. They were great! Fina's Kitchen was a real gem, hidden among an industrial area and catering to the local businesses. It was a great find!

Greeted warmly by our server, the coffee was served and it was fresh and delicious. I drink mine in black and I could taste the flavors. Some of the best coffee I've had in a long time. Diner style and delicious. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. The egg was perfectly fried, along with the white American cheese, and tasteful bacon. Unfortunately, the bacon missed the mark, as it wasn't crispy. It was soggy. And the English muffin was very small and un toasted. It seemed to me like it was microwaved. How can you not toast an English muffin? So the sandwich itself was not solid whatsoever. But looking around at the breakfast platters, they look delicious and all of my friends seem to enjoy what they ordered. So just a quick note to the owners and the chef and the cooks, toast, the damn English muffin, please! Crispy bacon would be nothing out of the ordinary to ask This place is solid, looking around at the different orders for breakfast, I look forward to returning again and giving it another shot

My friend ordered a cheeseburger, the small one, with lettuce and tomato on it, along with I think a lemonade I took a chance on the special which was loaded french fries. Steak fries with cheese whiz, bacon bits, sour cream and a little bit of chives. I also ordered a Pepsi. The bill came to $22 and change for the two of us. Keep that in mind as I further write. The cheeseburger, the quarter pound one, included one little little slice of lettuce and a very thin slice of tomato. The beef on the cheeseburger looked gray, and pink inside like it wasn't even cooked up to temperature. This was absolutely gross, served on a non toasted Sesame seed roll. He thought it was awful. He ate half of it. Now for my loaded french fries.... The french fries were so soggy , that if they didn't look like french fries they could be mistaken for mashed potatoes, loaded with an extremely salty cheese whiz, and what looked like bacon bits instead of natural bacon on top, chives, and sour cream. It would've been nice if there was chili on this instead, but nope. For $7.99, the serving was extremely small, probably good for a six-year-old. Barely edible, I ate about a quarter of it and just pushed it aside saying I'm done. I can't even imagine the salt content that was in this. I know one thing for sure it was extremely high! This had to be one of the worst things I have ever been served in any restaurant. Stick to the hotdogs as they are safe For the money spent, we would've been better off going to Chili's.

I walked in and from first glance, you can tell it is a staple type establishment for those within the community of Plainville. A spot that folks love to hit up in the mornings and for lunch to get their day started and to keep it going. I always can appreciate a good home-style vibe. Jim's had a few patrons inside, all having conversations with the ladies behind the counter that were making food and then the gentleman at the register as well. I will say that when I walked up to the counter, one lady looked at me as if I had a third eye, scoffed and walked away but I didn't think much of it for she may have been having a bad morning....moments later the other Woman said, "What do you want?" in a questionable tone but again, I digress for they both looked flustered. I placed an order and simply walked to the register and proceeded to grab a few more items for my review. I started off with the Pastrami Reuben on hardroll. The roll was toasted for that crispy factor and the pastrami itself, was good. You really can't go wrong when the cut on the pastrami is just right and it has a nice cut about it. The sauerkraut was ok, nothing major to write home about to be honest and it had a nice savory sauce with some Swiss cheese that. complemented the sandwich. Moving along to their macaroni salad! The mayo was tangy, and the red onions drew in the flavor profile rather nicely. It was seasoned with pepper as well and with the macaroni cooked to near perfection, you couldn't go wrong here. Now their Bacon, Egg and cheese on a hard roll left much to be desired. More BREAD than egg and bacon....You could barely see it from the side, let alone taste anything. I was sadly disappointed in their excuse for a breakfast sandwich. It lacked style, ingredients and flavor. This brings us over to their Apple Crisp! Fresh apples, cinnamon and granola goodness that made up for the horrible breakfast sandwich. Each bite of the crisp sent harps my way to play me a melody of tasty treats. Not too bad but between their. questionable customer service and my breakfast sandwich, I can only give Jim's an overall score of 3.5.
