Dairy Queen is a staple in our household. We love a good blizzard on a hot day. Going in a rain storm in March is no different. Blizzards were delish as usual. Perfect amount of toppings. Nice, thick consistency. We ate in the restaurant for a change. It was quiet and clean. Bonus is bathroom was clean too!

What a comforting feeling knowing the a Dairy Queen right down the road. For me it's the proximity of the DQ to my office. A few weeks I had to escape the ravages of the office for the cool, soothing comforts of a Blizzard. In this case, Heath Bar. As I waited for my Blizzard, I browsed the food menu and a Turkey, Bacon, and Cheddar on a Ciabatta roll had to be added to my order. Ready in a couple more minutes and devoured in the car on my way back to the office. I proudly walked back into the mayhem with my Heath Bar Blizzard in hand. It and I were met with other wanting eyes and cries of jealousy. DQ, Cromwell I shall return to your clean well maintained shop for another meal and chilled treats!

Pretty tasty I haven't been to DQ in a good while for something other than ice cream. I do love the flamethrower burger. Nice and spicy.

    Pretty good deal!

Compared to just about every other fast food joint I've ever been to,the Cromwell DQ deserves five stars! I eat here maybe four or five times a year and the place is always clean and the help is always efficient which is amazing seeing that there appears to be a dozen young adults working the counter, the drive thru, the grill or making sundaes! The dining area is kept clean by a rather youthful senior citizen who I believe is the owners mom! We overheard her tell another customer that she was 94 years old!!! God bless her and DQ, keep up the good work!

I arrived upset there wasn't birthday cake or funfetti and Zoli hooked us up! Excellent service :) thank you!!

This DQ has obviously been renovated recently and and it is REALLY nice, both inside and out. The menu screens behind the counter are now digital, digital and the dining area actually looks pretty upscale for your traditional fast food restaurant. They give you an order number card and bring your food to your table. We had an ice cream cone and a hot fudge sundae. Both were great! Food coming out to other tables looked good also.

    Grasshopper Blizzard!

A quick stop to make everything "all better" never hurt anybody. After a tough defeat at a hockey game, we stopped quickly to get a "Grasshopper" Blizzard. Mint chocolate chip is one of my favorite flavors of ice cream however this blend had a consistency that closely resembled ice chips. I'm not certain this is the normal consistency of this flavor Blizzard but it is not one I was a fan of. Next time, I'll stick to my usual: Reeses Peanut Butte Cup Blizzard with chocolate ice cream!

Good food for the price, though like every other fast food places, much more than just a few years ago. Kids love the ice cream choices.

Just functional. I was there on an NFL Sunday. There were lots of regulars. There was good interaction with the staff. I didn't catch her name, but the woman who was the only person working the bar and waiting on the tables was amazing. She was super friendly to everyone. She hustled to meet everyone's needs. It wouldn't surprise me if she is an owner too. It's hard to find people, who aren't owners, who are that committed. I asked for a wing flavor recommendation and she said "Montreal Honey" first. I ordered 6. The wings are part-baked and then finished in a fryer. Good inner and outer texture. The Montreal Seasoning was right on. The Honey didn't have much of a presence either visually or flavor-wise. More was needed to balance the salt from the Montreal Seasoning and to justify the Honey in the name. I tried both the Blue Cheese and the Ranch. I'd recommend the Blue Cheese. I'll definitely return to try more wing flavors. I also ordered a crock of chili, which was full of ground beef and topped with melted cheddar and chopped red onions. The chili was solid. I'd probably try something else before I ordered it again though. I'm a fan of Hideaway and I'll be back. 4.25 Stars

Crispy on the outside, packed with well-seasoned chicken inside. Good spice, not overpowering. Came with a salsa and a ketchup-mayo style sauce, both worked, but the salsa had a little more life to it. Before that, warm ciabatta hit the table with a house-made dipping sauce. Oil-based with garlic, blue cheese, and a few other layers going on. The blue cheese gave it a subtle kick without taking over. Nice way to start. Now to the burger, the Luger Burger. I'm assuming it's a nod to the classic steakhouse, but didn't get full confirmation. The sauce is made in-house: slightly sweet, a little acidic (I picked up balsamic), smooth texture. It's a good sauce, it just needed a bigger voice on this burger. The burger itself is large. And I mean large. Menu said thick-cut bacon... that wasn't the case. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. Now I'm going to get a little critical, because this is where it matters. The burger needed more salt. There's a lot of beef here, and it can absolutely handle it. Even something as simple as salting the tomato would've helped bring things together. If the bacon had actually been thick-cut, that alone might've bridged the gap. This was a very beef-forward burger, to the point where the supporting flavors barely showed up. The patty felt a bit too tightly packed, which gave it a denser bite and let the beef dominate the whole experience. A looser grind or lighter hand forming it would've made it more tender and allowed everything else to come through. It also needed more acid. The Luger sauce was applied lightly, so either lean into it more or bring in something else, a pickle, a sharper onion, something to cut through the richness and balance it out. The bun was soft, nicely toasted, and held up well, which isn't easy with a burger this size. Fries were hand-cut, properly salted, and exactly what you want. No complaints there. Overall, this is a great spot. Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated. Staff was excellent. Food was good, with flashes of being really good. With a few small tweaks, mainly balance and execution on the burger, this could easily jump to the next level.

The manager also came by mid-meal to check on us, which I always appreciate. Now let's talk food... My 23oz porterhouse steak? AMAZING. Cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and didn't need any sauce at all. Definitely the star of the night. I also tried their "dirty soda" (strawberry coconut cream with Sprite), and it was actually really good. (well balanced and not overly sweet) The only miss for me was the loaded baked potato. I got a half block of unmelted cheddar cheese sitting on top I ended up scooping it out because I definitely prefer my cheese melted into the potato. On a positive note, our waitress made sure I got fresh (straight out of the oven) bread to take home, which I appreciated because let's be real... that bread and butter is everything.

The burgers are straight up ground beef, the fries are bagged and the shakes use an off the shelf soft serve mix. It's not glamorous eating, but it's functional. I'm not opposed to this style of location, so long as they are priced appropriately and they recognize their limitations. Be nice, be quick, and make it just a little better than the rest and you can thrive. Server was very nice, location does look like much from the front but the inside has a nice appearance. The food is lackluster, exactly as presented on the menu. They do grill their buns in butter, and the flavors of their soups and fries are present and front facing. Burger was overcooked and unseasoned, hot dog was grilled well though. Easy fixes though, season the patty and 1 minute quicker off the grill and everything would be much better. it's actually pretty cheap as well.$5 for a foot long hotdog and $9 for a mushroom Swiss burger is pretty reasonable. They are not a fast food joint, but they are relatively quick and the quality is better than a chain as well. This is a spot that I would imagine a family would go to for that quick bite. It's basic but better than what you would get from any of the chains around. Price is good for the quality, and it's very much a burger shack. Go in expecting that, and you'll have a good experience. The wedge salad was different than usual, served with blue cheese and dressing but also with a balsamic addition. Unusual but good. The rigatoni bolognese was very tasty. The Canadian salmon was good- however the Parmesan risotto could have used more flavor (salt?). The Delmonico steak was served on a sizzling platter and was cooked properly (I ordered it rare and it was rare). However, the meat was a bit tough/chewy which detracted from the meal. Not the quality of meat I would expect from a higher end steakhouse. Overall the meal was okay, but not up to par with other steak houses I've been to.
