Using a black mole inside the tamale the chicken was moist and tender. My favorite value was the salsa bar - at no additional cost you can choose from about 6 different salsas, from a variety of spicy levels and flavors. Also included is Jalepano, radishes and some other small things. A great idea that adds true value to the customer. Overall this is a taqueria that I will drive to!!! What started as a solo trip to J Timothy's became a welcome table event when fellow Yelper Angie showed up with her husband and invited me over to their table. It did take a bit of time to decide between the three of us, but we eventually split our checks, with me taking care of my order and Angie taking care of the rest. We had Kate as a waitress, and might I say, she was not only nice and efficient, but she was very knowledgeable of the menu and very helpful and accommodating. The Gold BBQ wings were my favorite--crispy, sticky, and packed with flavor. They had the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and tangy without being overpowering. The Buffalo wings were excellent too, with a classic sauce that had just the right amount of heat and a great buttery finish. The wings came out crispy even after being sauced, which is harder to do than most places make it look. Service was friendly, the atmosphere felt like a classic neighborhood tavern, and you can tell they've been doing this for a long time.
