Sincerely the greatest McDonalds experience I've had in years. Every order was correct, and out fast. I dined here multiple times while staying at the hotel next door. Very clean, actually has a self serve drink station. Hardly any condiments put out, and heard a very strict manager laying down some quantity rules regarding them. You know, I don't expect a lot from a McDonald's, but this particular location is just terrible. The people that work there are so incredibly rude. Went through the drive-through and one woman took my order. She sounded his life. She was being totally bothered by the fact that she had to take my order. I pulled up and she was all disheveled with her hat on upside down because apparently that was cool or something. It took my credit card, handed it back to me with the receipt never said a single word. I've come to not even expect a thank you for your business kind of attitude with Detroit area fast food workers, but absolute nothing is unbelievably rude. I'm not sure why so many bad reviews. I visit this location specifically when I'm working in the area. Food is as expected for McDonald's. Items were warm and correct and service was prompt. Look, I'm not a McDonald's aficionado by any stretch but I've left satisfied on many occasions. Staff are friendly via the drive through. You don't interact much with them if dining in. Place is clean with lots of sitting options. Inside temp is on the colder side due to AC. The ketchup and napkins can be found on the customer side as is the soda dispenser (self serve). In California, being a state in regression, those items are behind the counter in many locations. I guess their customer base can't control themselves. The site is next to an ice hockey arena. The overall atmosphere is sort of desolate given the industrial tone of the Beck Rd area. Customer demographic is good. I.e, no drama if dining in. Stopped in for the first time at about 6:02am. Place looked really clean on the outside anyways. Quick to take my order and had my food ready to go when I got to that window. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced at any fast food location and especially a McDonald's with whom I have always been treated with kindness and respect. The manager of the location was named Denise and the employee at the window was name either Darrin or Aaron and could not have been more rude. If I was running this restaurant I would no longer employee individuals that hated their job so much that they were willing to be so disrespectful to paying customers. These individuals should not be working in customer service and somebody from McDonald's corporate should absolutely investigate their poor attitude and horrible customer service. We will not be going back to that McDonald's as long as these are the type of people that McDonald's chooses to reflect their brand. read more

Update 10Dec2019 --- It isn't getting any better. The young lady on the drive-thru lane asked for my order. I gave it --- two (2) breakfast burritos and a large decaf, 3 cream/3 sugar. This was followed by silence for 5 seconds; then, "What was that order, again?" When I reached the second window I was handed my burritos and asked, "Do you want to pull up (and wait) for decaf, or would you like regular, instead?" Young lady, if I had wanted regular coffee, I would have asked for regular coffee. I pulled up. Seven (7) minutes later, no sign of my coffee (as on a previous visit). I turned off my car and went inside. No one at the service counter (aka kiosk city). I spied a gentleman in a manager's uniform at the hash brown unit. He saw me and turned away. I called, "Excuse me!" He returned his attention to me from across the work area. I stated, "I have been waiting for a cup of decaf for over five minutes!" His response? "Riley!!!" Riley moved to me and I told him my plight. In the meantime I asked, "Is that gentleman a manager?" He replied yes and called to his manager, who then took the time to come over, remove his headset and listen to me. "This is the second time this week I have had to wait for decaf and the second time this week I have had to come in to get it myself after five minutes of waiting. Why?" I added, "It's coffee; it's the morning, why isn't coffee made and waiting?" His answer --- "We don't make decaf at this time of the day (6:15 AM). We don't get orders for it." [Really?] He added, "I am sorry you had to wait." My response? "That's OK, I will find another establishment for coffee in the morning." His parting words? "OK." The owner of this franchise needs to step in and take control. The lunatics are in charge of the asylum. read more

*Review is only based on their beverages - I haven't ate at a McDonald's in years.* Stopped here to grab a hot chocolate to drink on my drive home from work. Ordered it and sat in line for 10 minutes. Paid at window one and slowly made my way to window two. When I got there I was informed they were out of hot chocolate, but was offered a coffee instead. I told her I didn't want that, I wanted hot chocolate, so I would just like a refund instead. She said okay and called over a manager to assist. I waited 2 minutes, and the manager returned with my refund AND chocolate chip cookies. She apologized for the inconvenience as did the employees before her. I was definitely a little annoyed for having to wait in line for 10 minutes to receive nothing, but the gesture definitely redeemed them. So for that, I'll be back. read more

Wow. No words for this. Friday night 9pm we come in the drive through and they tell us they are taking mobile only orders. So, we park and place the order, 2 minutes later we pull into the drive through and they tell us they're closed. Not only that, but she was rude and didn't even say sorry for our inconvenience, as she was the same girl who said to place a mobile order TWO minutes prior. Plus who randomly closes at 9:15? When online says 11pm. Unbelievable. Hopefully i get that refund and my points back for that order that clearly went through and was paid for. read more

We came in this morning (Oct 13) at 1050.. as the last customer at the counter got done and we approached... the manager who was manning the register if we'd like to use the kiosk. News flash... if we wanted to use the kiosk... we would have lined up for the kiosk. Not only that... my daughter wanted a Happy Meal. He said we don't serve anything but breakfast till 11. Keep in mind this was at 1050. I've NEVER met a manager this LAZY and petty. I generally like this McDonalds I work around the corner and the drive thru is relatively quick at lunchtime. My issue is with the the Curbside pickup. I have now been burned twice by this location. Put the order in and then just wait and wait. Then you see the cars that you arrived with drive away with their orders. So the other customers have waited in line, paid and received their food and your order has evidently just sat there until they get around to it. I know they are probably short staffed and no one wants to walk outside, but don't offer a service if you can't or don't want to do it. read more

Read the previous reviews on unacceptable level of service. Grandson and I stopped in for a quick breakfast bite before his hockey game at USA Arena. We opted to take a few moments and eat inside. The restaurant was quite clean. Everyone working was very nice and helpful. Food was delivered quite quickly. Food was as you would expect to be at any McDonald's. Sounds like they may have turned the service level around if what we experienced carried over to the drive through. read more

I absolutely love McDonald's for the coffee. Once in awhile I do stop in for lunch and today wasn't a stop. Not many people here today Sunday, Jan.13th 2019. I waited longer then normal for my food. I watched as the young girl kept asking for my food and then was told it's sitting over there.....ok, so yes, my food was cool and the bun hard in spots. The fries were acceptable. This location always seems dirty to me as well. Can someone please clean? I'm hoping for a better experience not time. read more

This McDonald's has been around for about 5 years... it wasn't here when my company moved into our current office. The place is a newer design, trying to compete with the coffee shops, etc., so you'll find wifi, play area for the kids and more upscale seating then the older McDonald's some of us may be used to. I been here before and I would rate their service average, but today it was different, which is prompting me to write this review. Now, I typically do not eat fast food, only when I'm on the road and/or traveling - only because its fast and quick, minimizes the loss of time on my part. So I was craving for chicken nuggets today, en route to pick up some stuff for the office, I swing by and ordered #10 (10 piece nugget meal) through drive through. I asked for the sweet chili sauce... paid, went to pick up my meal. They told me they no longer have the sweet chili sauce, so I asked for sweet and sour (my standard). As the lady was giving me my order, she gave me the funny look.. I don't know what the look was for and/or why she gave me the funny look... but at least she said, have nice day. I got back to the office and to my amazement... no napkins inside... and on top of that, the nugget box had some sticky stuff on it... I think it was bbq sauce or something... bc it was also on my sauce container as well... yeah, i was not a happy customer and have decided to avoid this place at all cost... since I don't eat at fast food often, this should help, but man, I'm just lost for words.... read more

Called today (10/18/2019) to inquire about the McRib sandwich. A young man answered and I asked my question. He hung up on me. I called back and this time a young woman answered. Here's how the conversation happened: Young woman: "Plymouth, what do you want?" Me: "Plymouth? You're Mcdonalds. Be proper. Do you have the McRib sandwich?" Young woman: *screams in phone* "YES WE DO!!" Slams the phone down. Me: Totally livid by how I was treated by not one, but by two arrogant McDonalds workers. This McDonald's is fast and efficient. That is unless the drive thru line is really long in which case I peek in the window, check to see if anyone is inside, they sometimes run in to get my breakfast or iced tea. In these situations, I can beat the last car in the drive thru line handily. But, it's rare that I do that as the line moves quickly. Considering this McDonald's has a single drive thru line and has not yet converted to the dual drive through, the line still moves pretty quickly. Best of all, when you ask for something special, like extra pickle, or no mayo, etc they never miss. Plus, I like that they remind you by asking if you want dipping sauce or ketchup, lest you forget and discover you got home without it and don't have any. All in all this is a straightforward McDonald's that has come a long way from their early days of operation, when I was at the collection window and I asked for extra napkins and the woman told me I was holding up the line and hurting their drive through time. Fortunately, that was a one-off incidence and it never happened again. read more

This place is awful! I went for breakfast because I was in a rush. even with 2 ordering areas the line was out of the parking lot. I clearly stated that I just wanted to steak burritos. without confirming anything they put me down for 3. That sure is thoughtful of you but please try listening. I pull up to the window and get the order corrected. so I ended up getting three burritos anyway which was pretty sweet until I started eating them. the second one had a ridiculously long hair in it that caused me to dry heave. and even though the guy got the order wrong for 3 steak burritos they got that wrong too. Instead I got two steak burritos and a sausage one. So the remaining burritos - the wrappers flew out the window into a nearby field for the local raccoons to enjoy. 7/16/2012 The best part is there are no blaring TV's or radio music. The inside is quiet and even has some nice sofa chairs. For some reason Compuware arena has blocked their driveway off so you have to make sure you enter by the McDonalds drive. Update 8/19/2012. I moved a year ago and this location is the closest to my house, but I always have to debate if I want to wait in line for 40 minutes for a cheap meal or if I want to order takeout from somewhere else and get it faster. If you're going here for fast food 10/10 would NOT recommend, but if you're here for cheap food 6/10 would recommend. Also they have changed their chicken patties recently and they're crap.
